Don't want to jinx myself, but I believe that I have found the solution to my problem: installing RealTek drivers. After installing them, everything seems to work properly, and the input and output seem to have been split.

I have made this thread a number of times before, but the threads I have made in the past never got much attention, so I am making a new one. I also have some new ideas as to what might be causing the problem. The problem is as the title implies: my microphone picks up audio from my desktop. This happens on Discord and on the Windows testing screen. It sometimes even happens when I have my mic up (in a muted position, I have a pair of HyperX Cloud Stingers). Before, when I had a pair of Razer Kraken 7.1 headphones, I never had this issue, which began around the time I got my new headphones. I suspected that it might be due to the fact that my headphones are plugged into a splitter cable, which is plugged into a wired remote connected to my speakers, which are both the 'input' (the microphone) and the 'output' (the speakers). Since they appear as one device in Windows, I thought that making them separate devices might fix the issue, so I bought a 3.5 mm to USB adapter. This did not fix the issue. When I tried to set the USB and High Definition Audio Device as separate input and output devices, it would not work, as I would not be able to hear anything through my headphones or have the mic pick up nothing. Does anyone have a similar issue? It is really beginning to stress me out. BTW I tried all that nonsense with the 'Stereo Mix' and whatnot and it hasn't worked because it doesn't show up in the sound/recording devices menu. I don't have Realtek drivers.

I recently purchased a Corsair Strafe RGB mechanical keyboard and was wondering how to clean the keys safely without damaging it. Before, I had a Logitech G213, which I cleaned by wiping over the keys with an anti-bacterial wipe and drying it with a microfiber cloth. Can I do the same with this one, or is it too risky?

The FixTransparencyBugs setting seems to be the culprit here. Setting it to 'false' eliminated the problem, though I suspect it may cause problems in the future in certain buildings with holes in the ceiling.

I've fixed most of my issues with Fallout NV and only a few issues remain. I use NMC's texture pack (large, all three parts) with Ojo Bueno overwriting it, alongside a number of other mods like MG's Neat Clutter Retexture. 99% of the textures look good, though I am pretty disappointed in the brick wall textures in most settlements, which I think are OB textures. Do you guys know which mods have the best textures for brick walls?

Hello. Some time ago I made a thread about NV mods bugging out (https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7096641-fallout-new-vegas-mods-going-crazy/) I am happy to announce that I have had more success modding Fallout NV now, although there is one bug that still persists: the missing textures in the hotel near Camp Golf. I have found that the 'enblocal.ini' file for ENBs causes this issue. Why? Can someone help me fix this? Thank you.

I have tried dropping the Optifine file in the 'mods' folder before and it didn't seem to work. Maybe I need to try again.

Also, I forgot to mention, I have Minecraft 1.14.4 installed. The 'recommended install' of forge is 1.12.2, which comes as a .exe file. The 1.14.4 version comes as a .jar file. The former 'works' and creates a 'mods' folder, while the latter does not. Perhaps I need to wait for a new version of forge to come out?

I have a question to ask/problem to fix regarding Minecraft modding (specifically Java edition). I have successfully installed a shader using Optifine and it works well. However, during the startup of the game, I have to select the Optifine setting/profile to get it to work. Keeping that in mind, I have also tried to install the Roguelike modpack (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/roguelike-adventures-and-dungeons) However, in order to get it to work, I have to install Minecraft Forge and start the game with the 'Forge' profile (which does not work, as it crashes the game when I try to create a new world). My question is: how do I get them both to work at the same time? Can someone help me?

Hey all, I have an issue with MSIA, in which after turning it off after playing a game for a long time, my fan speed goes up to 100 before climbing back down. It didn't do that before and I'm not sure why it's doing it now and whether it is damaging to my GPU. Here are my settings: -Core Clock = +100 -Memory Clock = +100 -Fan Speed = 40 I thought it might have been to do with my temp limit being on 82/83, though that doesn't seem to do the trick either. However, one thing to note is that the Temo. limit does not seem to save in the profiles, which means I could have had it on default by accident. I'll try again. Apart from that, could it be anything else? (I have a GTX 1070 Turbo).

I have recently been having several issues related to the Fornite Epic Games launcher. Upon launching (both as admin and normally) the program updates, though it does so extremely slowly. Afterwards, it opens to a black screen with a progress bar at the bottom, which takes ages to actually go to the main interface. Then, it updates again for whatever reason, getting stuck at 0Mb/s download speed most of the time with temporary spikes. After that is finished and I try to install Fortnite, the bar gets stuck on 'Preparing'. I was not able to make it past this. TL;DR Fortnite download/install is stuck on 'Preparing' and the EG launcher is slow in general. Please help?

I'm currently having a problem with Windows AV and it's CPU usage. Sometimes, I turn on my antivirus to scan for a bit before going to bed. After that, I sometimes forget to turn off the scan and when I start up the PC, my CPU usage is at 100%, with no option to kill the process or stop the scan from the menu. The only solution thus far has been to wait for it to stop. Restarting the PC does not help. Can someone help me?

My last thread didn't get too much attention, so I'm starting a new one. For some reason, even if a splitter cable is not in use, Discord picks up noises from videos that I watch, which are audible for the people I'm talking to. Discord is the only application I have had this problem with. Using a 'push to talk' button seems to do the trick. Still, it's annoying. Can someone help me?

I have the following extensions: -Privacy Badger -HTTPS Everywhere -NoScript -UBlock Origin -Cookie Auto-Delete -Privacy Settings -Decentraleyes -Enhancer for YouTube -CanvasBlocker -Neat URL -Smart Referer -Google Search Link Fix I have also followed the instructions here: https://blog.cloudflare.com/encrypt-that-sni-firefox-edition/ When the Firefox bug first appeared, I turned off the setting for verifying browser extensions so I could have all of them back instantly. Up to this point, the browser functioned as expected. However, yesterday, it slowed down MASSIVELY. I restarted the browser multiple times, updated it, restarted my PC, re-installed it and still nothing. Can someone help me? P.S. I also feel as if the problem is the worst on YouTube.

EDIT: Nevermind. It actually does pick up output sounds as well.

Now, it picks up my voice as well as the output noises from my computer. I'm confused. Also, I forgot to mention, but I actually changed audio jacks and plugged the headphones into the back instead of my speakers once. It worked, but I couldn't hear my friend, though he could hear me. I could hear a YouTube video I was watching, though. It's strange.

Sorry for the late reply, but the root of the problem was the fact that there was another 'splitter' cable that I had not used, which separated the mic from the audio. I used that and the problem was fixed. However, I now have another problem. When I plug both into the wired remote connected to my speakers and I decide to call my friends on Discord, they can hear the sound coming from the videos that I watch, even when the mic is raised up in the 'off' position. Can you please advise me what to do with that?

I have had an issue with my mic, in which it does not pick up any sound when I try to speak, yet picks up sounds made by my PC (such as Discord notifications). This curious problem has persisted for quite a while now, despite me getting a new mic (which I was going to get anyway, since the audio of my previous headset was randomly cutting out). This has led me to speculate that this may be due to some form of system setting. I have already enabled the use of my microphone by apps in my privacy settings (which had been previously disabled). My headphones are plugged into a 3.5 mm audio jack which is connected to my speakers. They are listed as "Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)" under the audio menu. Can someone help me?

UPDATE: I fixed the issue. Turns out it was because there was a dot in the name of the folder. Miraculously, removing it caused right clicking to work and not crash.

I have a weird issue with Fallout 4, in which sometimes, when viewed at certain angles, the light colour changes from cold to warm (and vice versa). I am currently using Pilgrim as my ENB mod. With it disabled, the issue stops. Can someone help me?

I already did. Does the service pack make a difference? I tried SP3, as I mentioned in the thread.

Apart from those mentioned above? No. I figured it would have been a waste of time, but I suppose that it would be worth a try once all other options have been exhausted. Which ones do you recommend trying first?

I have a problem which has been annoying me for a while now. Namely, my PG2 keeps crashing on Windows 7 and I don't know why. I'll give you guys a quick rundown on what I have done thus far: -Downloaded and installed a new version of the game (which claims to be compatible with Windows 7) -Set all of the .exes to run in compatibility mode with both Windows 95 and Windows XP SP3 and with admin privileges (neither worked) -Installed DX9 runtime components None of this works.
