I don't use MO because I am too stupid and daunted to figure it out. I read recently that NMM will eventually break your game and that I should switch to Vortex, can some knowledgeable person kindly explain why?? THANKS!!

EDIT: OK for those in the distant future who might want to do this, I opened the console, selected the NPC and used "showinventory", then used "removeitem XXXXX 1" on each of the offending items in turn until they were no longer in the inventory. XXXXX is the code you will see for each piece of armor/clothing.

Hello, I have a particular follower where I cannot remove the Nightingale armor from her. I am using EFF and attempting to strip her of her armor , she flashes naked for a second then the armor reappears. Is there a way to load her esp into X edit and remove this pesky armor once and for all?? I have some proficiency in X edit but I'm afraid this is beyond me. The clothing I want her to wear has a much lower armor value so I can't simply swap things out conventionally. THANKS!!

For anybody following this, it was a complete disaster. Win 10 doesn't play nice with so much. Weeks and weeks to get Skyrim stable....

Hey all, I know this is a problem but I have not been able to find a fix anywhere on the net. Sophia my follower got hit by a werewolf and eventually changed , but the first time she changed she went invisible and I had to turn on her tracking marker to find her. I am using EFF, Moonlight Tales and Heart of the Beast. In nearly 3500 hours of playing with hundreds of mods and dozens of play throughs over the years I have never seen this happen before! I have had to tell her not to change in case she goes invisible. The original werewolf that attacked us was visible as have a couple of others since I started the play through... What's the fix.... oh gaming gurus!? Thanks

I have the same card and had all kinds of issues mentioned here! Just today I found out if you add iFPSClamp=60 under the [GENERAL] category in Skyrim.ini it makes the problems go away. I was using NVIDIA Profile Inspector but this fix seems smoother.

Hey! I just got a new machine running Win 10. I transplanted all the files from my original Win 7 install onto the new drive(s). I ran Steam and reinstalled Skyrim. I reinstalled the DX redistributable (because I was missing some files). I can start and play a new vanilla game no problem. I can start an SKSE (saved game) through to the loading screen but then instant CTD. When I check DATA in the Skyrim Launcher, the only mods I see are what I downloaded from the Steam workshop! How do I reinstall 240 mods from NMM that I have collected over the last 4 years!!?!? PLEASE don't tell me I have to do it ONE by ONE!?? I will never get it right!! I will screw up.. Thanks

Ok so what you are saying is, if you mod the crap out of Skyrim don't install the 64bit version PERIOD on any OS as most all mods we are currently running won't work?! Lastly, I am getting an 8Gb 1070M (laptop) so using Windows 10 brings nothing to the table aside from potentially a bunch of grief, hassles and issues with this generation game (Skyrim being years old)?? By that I mean, once you pop the 4Gb mem threshold for mods doesn't Win 10 crap out and not load the game? I think I am going to install Win 7 Pro 64 on the new machine and just suck it up with driver issues. Oh and, not download the 64 bit version.... geeze.

Take your operating system Hard drive (From your old system) and Dual Boot Hardware is Hardware and it is not that complex to find the other drivers. Can I just remove the existing HDD that is shipping with the laptop (that will have Win 10 on it) and throw in my existing HDD with Win 7 on it into the new machine, and expect everything to work normally?? I mean perhaps some drivers won't work or are missing but is the methodology sound? It's just that I am paying for all the cutting edge HDD tech and if I simply transplant my old drives into the new laptop it's a waste of money.. I have two drives, a C and a D (which is where I install all my gaming stuff). The C drive is only for the OS and some other stuff.

Doesn't the 64 bit version of Skyrim remove the 4GB block? That comes out in a few weeks anyways...

Unfortunately the OEM (CyberpowerPC) won't provide a driver disk for a Win 7 install given the high end hardware. So I'm stuck with 10. LOL

Doesn't the 64 bit Skyrim make the 4 GB limit go away? What about G-Sync displays?? I thought that was all about making the display jive with the GPU as flawlessly as possible? Thanks

Hey gang! I just bought a new gaming rig that will be running Win 10. I have a heavily modded Skyrim install on my current Win 7 rig which I am hoping to "copy over" to the new machine, with data, save games and mod files intact. Can somebody please spell out the steps involved to do this successfully? I have a 5TB external drive that I intend to use in the transferring process. Perhaps there is a website out there that details this kind of thing? I have been playing this "play through" for nearly a year now and I don't want to screw something up! Thanks!! EDIT: I use Wrye bash, TESVEdit, NMM, and ASIS so I am going to have to find a home for everything using the WIN 10 folder structure!

I have tested this and it works like a charm. I hope that all the follower overhaul mods make this an option soon. Sorry If I sound like a retard but how do I do that? I'm using the UFO follower mod but can't make them die instantely. As I'm leading many stormcloak soldiers, I want them to die without dropping to their feet first. What mod are you talking about? Heya, It isn't a "mod" as such, you MAKE a modification but you don't download a "mod". To make it work with UFO (i've done this) you just follow the same procedure in the CK that has been stated and change the setting for each of the 12 (i think it's twelve) entries in UFO. ou "Everyone dies.../ You are important" are dialogue options in UFO that will make NPC die in combat or go on one knee. No. The "Everyone dies../ you are important" dialogue in UFO depends on how the NPC has been created by the mod author. Set Essential with all the flags embedded will require the massive damage rule to kill. The UFO setting everyone dies does not work. You need the skyrim.ini file tweak to set the playing field level.

Yeah I have the same problem... I suspect it is the My Home is your Home.... I haven't a work around for this issue, even using console commands. I tries setstage DLC1VQ04 80 with no joy.

Is there a global console command that I can use to set ALL followers to non essential so that they can die? I am a total newb with the CK and have dozens of potential followers loaded using mods, no way can I go through each of them and deselect essential, I don't even know all their names with mods that provide several followers in one hit. I am using AFT but the permanently die thing doesn't override the essential thing in their mod. Any ideas? Must work for all followers please, not just OC followers. THANKS AND PROPS!

Hello! I have UFO and it has been working great. However some mod I have installed recently (maybe Vilja or Lylvieve Sisters ...) is preventing me from recruiting new followers. Every time I speak to a new NPC I get the "looks like you already have somebody with you" spiel. It's like something has overwritten or screwed up UFO. Yes I have slots available but I don't know how to rectify the problem?? Any ideas? Aside from uninstalling and reinstalling UFO which is a monumental undertaking with 7-8 followers.. YIKES! Thanks!

Okay yeah it seems that the first TWO characters in Username and the first character in Password are my problem. Geeze...
