    I know how ugly shadows looks like in skyrim, since these fixes doesn't work for you, you can always increase iBlurDeferredShadowMask=10. My personal setting, it is not perfect but still way much better than before. ;)

    Open enbseries.ini and make these changes: [ENVIRONMENT] AmbientLightingIntensityNight=0.7 change it to AmbientLightingIntensityNight=1.2 It will make nights lighter ;)

    After "Cleansing the stones" most of Solsthteim folks will return to their homes and jobs. As for Glover Mallory, he will give you only 1 mission, to recover his ancient nordic pickaxe, and you will get second mission from him only if you are member of thieves guild, to recover his bonemold formula recipe.

    Its not a hardware problem, that's for sure. I did windows reinstall recently, 1st half of May this year I think, and I had same problem for no reasons, game would run smooth for an 30 minutes, or 1 hour, and all of sudden CTD, but why? I loaded last save I continued to play from last save point, and than it would run smooth again, and in range from 10-40 minutes had Ctd again, honestly i have only few mods, usually 12-15 esp, esm. So I know its not a mod, or load order, because it worked before I reinstalled OS, and than I had maybe 1 ctd in in a month or two, lets say 1 ctd in 100 hours of effective gameplay. What I did? I reinstaled few drivers: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable 8.0.56336 Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64) 8.0.56336 Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.17 Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable - 10.0.30319 Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable - 10.0.40219 Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) - 11.0.50727.1 Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) - 11.0.50727.1 NVIDIA Graphics Driver 335.23 Using "Gamebooster" IObit software to disable all unnecessary background services while playing, and I maybe received 2 ctd since ''June 2014" to this day. Also using Enb, and mix textures 1k, and some 2k. All that on even much weaker pc.

    Better to finish "before the storm'' mission, than go to windhelm and start joining the stormcloaks. Do you have "Golden claw'' quest also active?

    At least you know what caused the problem now. Have you managed to start stormcloak quest ''jagged crown'' now?

    I agree with MotoSxorpio, hd textures 2k requires at least 1.5gb vram, with +2gb vram should be fine, but only 1gb vram is not enough, no surprise why you have low fps. I have 3 video cards, and none can run full 2k textures without fps drops, my advice: use vanilla textures, or simply by new gpu with more vram ;)

    I thought you already had that mission finished, no surprise why you had problems with civil war. Finish that mission and tell us if everything is ok ;)

    I sad I had problem with being stuck in dialogue with Galmar before, and quest did not started properly. But just found this, from alternate life "known issues" : When choosing one of the two civil war starts, you are strongly advised to let the Jagged Crown scene play out. If you don't, the quest may fail to start and the entire civil war quest line will get jammed. (written by author of the mod) Which main quest you have active right now?

    I dont think so, that ''alternate start'' has anything with your problem, cant tell for sure, but I had same problem with Galmar, I just reloaded previous save and problem solved, and I did not had ''alternate start" , so I think maybe is other mod that causes problems.

    I meant, save file before you entered pallace, not autosave, if you made a save file manually in windhelm, or any other location, before you entered pallace.

    Only happens if player character lvl is 70 or above, they start to panic sometimes even at full health :)

    Yes it is normal, always launch your game via skse loader. Skyrim launcher use only for mods check, uncheck, game settings, options.
