  1. I (Grumpy-Gazz on beth.net) received help from Elianora, who posted here: https://community.bethesda.net/thread/21144 This sorted my issue along with help from Nukamage's video, which is linked in the post.
  2. This guy does the opposite with a mod, may be worth asking there. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54274/
  3. The Nexus Mod Manger only place files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data this is OK for most mods, but some are utilities or programs that are not game data and run independently from outside the data folder and in some cases Skyrim entirely. These files need to be downloaded and placed in a convenient place of your choosing on in a specific location if stated on the mod page. Lets take FNIS as an example, this program generates animation files, it simply looks at your mods for animations and after running will add the new animation files into your data folder.
  4. Open the console, type help "Jarin the Terminator" this will give you his reference id, for example NPC: 0755d62b Jarin the Terminator This tells you this NPC is from the mod that is 07 in your load order.
  5. First up, get the unofficial Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn patches. You may need TES5EDIT to locate your error, a fairly simple process that will attempt to load your mod list and will stop when it encounters an error, where you will see what mod has caused it to stop. Your problem may be a missing file that is required. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/
  6. Did you request a deactivation of your old account first? multiple accounts seem to be a ban issue You're not a moderator so that's none of your business. Wow, what's with the hostility, I thought it was a good mod Idea, hoped you would get to see it, that's why I asked. Now not so sure.

  8. Most commonly SKSE or SkyUI, which itself requires SKSE http://skse.silverlock.org/
  9. Your lighting choice depends on the ENB preset, I had to ditch Realistic Lighting Overhaul as it was too orange with my preset. Enhanced Light and effects gave me a soft Yellow. Only way to know is to try, but yes it is ok to use.
  10. It sounds like you have some meshes left over from a mod and the texture is no longer there. You can search any meshes folder you have for references of skeever and remove it, not sure about skeleton.
  11. If they have already spawned open up the console, click on them and use the command disable followed by enable to bring them back, they should respawn with the changes.
  12. Download Racemenu, it contains a pre-cache killer, which is essential as the standard race menu cannot cope with the additional hair. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624
  13. I would go slightly higher with the PSU wattage, but sounds like your gonna have fun. :)
  14. You may have already done this, but always make sure when installing RLO you select the no guard torches or it will be even worse. As you will see here, enhanced light and effects also suffers some flickering on the bridge too, although to a smaller degree. http://i.imgur.com/UWdgmvs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rIjISLy.jpg edit: forgot to add, your wearable lantern may also make it worse.
  15. There is a limit on light sources that can be put in areas, while RLO is great, it has many instances of this. Enhanced Light and Effects has this too. Sadly there is no fix, just a limitation of the game engine.
  16. Decals are blood splatters, scorch marks and other similar things. These have insignificant performance decreases. I am not sure what particles are, but my guess would be things such as, Light and dust beams and fog effects. These ones can have a performance hit on weaker machines.
  17. Are you adding the right armor via console, Dragon armor (on mine at least) has two different sets of ID references. One belongs to the Skyrim esm the other is attached to Dragonborn. I have the Unofficial Dragonborn patch so the second set of IDs start with 07xxxxxxx these when added to inventory add weight but no armor. The correct ID for Dragon Armor types start with 00xxxxxx The correct IDs will be found nearer the top of the list when using: Help dragon or Help "Dragon Plate / Scale"
  18. Don't know off hand the cell size for exteriors, but they are about the length of the gates of Whiterun to maybe just short of the Bannered Mare.
  19. I have never had any issues with NMM, I don't use the download with manager option though, I prefer to download manually and look in the archive before adding it to NMM for installation.
  20. "Some of us are subject to a rare bug that causes mounted melee combat to effectively break for vanilla races. This bug is common on custom race mods, particularly those which were not updated for the Dawnguard patch, but it's exceedingly rare for vanilla races. My assumption is that there is some combination of mods that creates a conflict which messes the vanilla race data up, or perhaps one of those mods we use is dirty, unbeknownst to us." Nexus Mod Author Adrius Their mod should fix it, it has done so for me. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56828/
  21. Setting fShadowBiasScale= to 0.7 fixes the majority of stripping for me, but the downside is shadows start a little from where they should be.
  22. Issue Resolved Thanks To Elianora I seem to be at an Impasse in my effort to remove the shine from a texture. Believe me I have tried until the point of frustration to find a workable tutorial video, written or otherwise. If you can help to finish this last piece please let me know. You can send your version to me for joint credit on the mods page, or post to your own as long as you give credit to me. Note: Texture was always meant to have a small sheen to it so please keep that in mind. It works well with my ENB, but is looking too shiny for some with Vanilla lighting. If you would like to help finish this mod, from what I believe it is a few minutes work with the n.dds file, but it has me stumped for over 9 hours now. My file is published here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57672/
  23. You are looking to edit SkyrimEditor and SkyrimEditorprefs in the programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim Directory get the right ini's below (plus a fix for grass in the CK) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38180/
  24. Have you tried clicking the door in the console and typing unlock?
  25. You're not using a killable children mod or custom child race by any chance? Because they remove the child flag which will inhibit the use of idle markers. The other thing to watch out for is if you copied and pasted them from elsewhere make sure they're not owned by a particular faction, if its PlayerHousecarlFaction then only housecarls are able to use them, etc. Its commonly used to make idle markers in child rooms exclusive to them, your spouse playing a flute or banging a drum in the kids bedroom just looks silly. They're just plain xmarkers, unless they they need to be facing a particular direction in which case use xmarker headings. No I don't use them mods, the only one I use that would change up NPCs is MY Home Is Your Home. I only copy / pasted the kids x markers I made myself while following the guide. For some reason the kids have started to use some of the markers now, I changed nothing from before, very strange. I'm going to need to test it for a while I think
