  1. Nice! I knew about the various console functions, but I had no clue you could display something different with the debug text! I definitely appreciate your help.
  2. So um....I'm a huge idiot. I've been using "tdt" to monitor my FPS while adding mods...and it just didn't occur to me that that was part of it...
  3. So I'm starting a new modded game. Its actually going pretty well. So far, there's only one bug. When I load up the game, the console text displays on the screen (without me opening the console) and won't go away until I open and then close the console. Then, any time something prints to the console, it does it again. This happens quite often - every time I hit a hotkey modifier with Super Hotkeys or a skill levels up with Realisitic Leveling, etc. The only mod that seemed likely to me was ConScribe, but uninstalling the plugin didn't make a difference. Here is my mod list: OBSE (21) Plugins: Blockhead 10.3, MenuQue 16b, Elys Silent Voice 93, OSR 4.1, Pluggy 125c Thanks for the help!
  4. Sorry that OR wasn't working for you. I'm generally curious why, though. Most recent video cards should be able to handle max Oblivion settings without an issue. My mid-range laptop GPU gives me 60+fps at the Waterfront with max settings. I'm just starting a new mod setup, so I'm going to start experimenting with ORs features, but preliminary tests are pretty promising. Basically, nothing vanilla Oblivion does is even remotely taxing on my card. I honestly don't think the default settings are the issue, unless your card is ancient.
  5. If your FPS mainly drops when NPCs are around...the VRAM isn't the bottleneck, its the processor. You likely have mods that add a lot of scripting to people, and that's causing the performance issues. If not, the issue is likely a conflict between OSR's FPS manager and OR's. I would suggest testing your game with just one.
  6. Can second that this is not a bug or messed up texture or anything. They are meant to be there, looking like that.
  7. As a different point of view, TES4LODGen doesn't create any lag or issues for me at all. I have a laptop - a good one, but still a laptop.
  8. The correct install order depends on which files overlap and what mod you want to see those files from. If they don't overlap at all, then it doesn't matter. If they do, whichever you want to see loads last.
  9. I didn't look at your mod list, but I too had strongly considered the mod. I didn't add it however, because it is likely incompatible with Open Cities Reborn. The original Integration mod required (and had) a patch, but one was never made for the Integrated version. I don't know enough about the CS and modding to see if it could be used without much trouble.
  10. Fundament will do the trick, and can (but doesn't have to) do a lot more. It is fairly simple to get up and running, but does take basic knowledge of inis. It may seem daunting, but you just have to remove a semicolon from the right line or group of lines. The readme has everything you need to know. Also, there are likely a lot of mods, but most will change other skills too. This one only changes what you want it to.
  11. No. One version replaces skirts, the other does not. It has two download options. That said, it does not recolor the leather pants.
  12. Quest Log Manager. Oblivion already keeps track of all your quests (completed too). QLM organizes those so that you sort through them more easily. It does not track quests that you don't have yet or any of those more advanced features of skyComplete. But it does help you to keep track of your quests.
  13. Oh. I must have misunderstood the WB feature then. Oh well. Best of luck!
  14. For your first run, I would focus on things that either enhance vanilla play or fix it. So definitely the unofficial patches. Then AULIAS (so you don't have to worry about getting the worst level of a cool quest reward), a leveling mod (the simplest is +5 attribute modifiers, or SPAM), Darnified UI, HUD Status Bars (you've modded before, so although that can be complicated, you should be able to handle it), and a hotkey mod (my favorite is Super Hotkeys, but Enhanced Hotkeys is more popular). The only other gameplay mods I would recommend for a first playthrough is maybe a horse commands mod and/or saddlebags mod. For aesthetic purposes, I would recommend adding those after you've played vanilla for a while. You'll have a better feel for what you do and don't like about its looks. But when you get there, All Natural, Animated Windows and Lighting, Oblivion Reloaded and a texture pack or two - QTP3 and Oblivion Grass Overhaul are great starting points. I would also recommend throwing a body mod in - HGEC is the biggest female replacer and most supported, but Robert's Female Body is also popular. Robert's Male Body is *the* go-to for male bodies. Definitely pick up Oblivion Character Overhaul v2. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about any quest or overhaul mods right now - the vanilla quests are quite good and overhauls are best chosen when you have a sense of what you do/don't like. For stability, pick up Oblivion Stutter Remover. Others may recommend Streamline or the Crash Prevention System, but both are outdated. The best mod manager for Oblivion is Wrye Bash, and you should choose LOOT or BOSS to sort your mod list.
  15. I believe that Wrye Bash does support profiles. I don't have it installed now, but I distinctly remember reading about profiles in the documentation. You might want to double check that.
  16. Glad I could help! And yeah, RAEVWD can be awful for FPS.
  17. I'm afraid I don't know anything. You might not get any help here - the Steam Link is very new and the active Oblivion community relatively small. Perhaps you should contact Steam support or the Steam forums?
  18. RAEVWD comes pre-packaged for BAIN, with a wizard...to use it, you put the package in BAIN, right click, hit Wizard or Install with Wizard or whatever it is and voila! Follow the prompts. As for creating a BAIN package, its not especially difficult. It works via folders. For example, you have a mod with several options: you place each option in its own subfolder, file structure intact. Folder ModName has the following subfolders: OptionA, OptionB, OptionC. Each subfolder (A, B, C) will have the game files, organized correctly - meshes, textures, an esp/esm file, perhaps docs. You might have slightly more complex mods. In which case your subfolders may look more like this: Core Files, Option A1, Option A2, OptionB. You can only have one set of subfolders. In the above examples, OptionA could not contain Option1 and Option2, it MUST contain game files. Make sure that you don't do the following: ModName, OptionA, Data, etc. Wrye Bash will not know what to do with those files. Feel free to ask more about BAIN packages.
  19. I haven't installed Oblivion since upgrading to Windows 10. My best guess is a registry problem. Wouldn't know how to fix it, I'm afraid, but a google search might help.
  20. You know you can get Oblivion (both physical copies and Steam) in English for very little? Hit the right sale (and it goes on sale pretty often) and you're golden. No idea what language that is...you could probably Google this though and compare box art.
  21. Most save game files should have their own info. As a general rule, more people seem to upload savegames than download. Your best bet is to slog through them on your own.
  22. You're using TES4Edit to make a merged patch? I can't help you, but I would definitely love to here more about these patches. Are they better/more complete/more stable, etc. than a Bashed Patch? Also, would you know how to merge the Unique Landscape mods? Sorry to hijack your thread, I'm just genuinely curious. I've done almost nothing with TES4Edit.
  23. You need to use BSA redirection - make sure that it is the method currently being used. For OBMM users: Start OBMM. Click Utilities. Select Archive invalidation. You'll get a popup window. Click BSA redirection (it's the default choice). Click Update Now. Close the Archive invalidation popup (click the red X in the upper-left corner). Quit OBMM or click Launch Oblivion. That doesn't really explain the CTD though, as a lack of invalidation just means you see the vanilla textures. Are you sure you did NOTHING else? What's your OBSE status? Also, what (if any) stability mods do you have installed? The Unofficial Patches? Are you playing a Steam copy or physical disc? Any information could be relevant.
