I guess you guys are fairly new to the tesrenewal stuff, and probably new to TES modding in general. In the past, the devs for Morroblivion (same guys working on Skywind) made the installer check for a legitimate Morrowind installation folder. And even if you defeated the copy protection on the installer, things still wouldn't necessarily work right. Just please, stop being cheap, buy Morrowind GotY on Steam, it's only $20 USD. It's still enjoyable in its original state today, so it's win-win. And to those people saying, "But it's a SKYRIM mod!! We shouldn't have to buy another game to use it!!": This isn't your average Skyrim mod. This isn't even your average New Lands mod that is either incomplete/buggy or only 1/4th the size of Skyrim at most. Skywind will easily be bigger than Skyrim itself, at least worldspace wise. They're even talking about giving it its own executable and install folder, which is not something a normal mod would do. So please, stop whining, put the $20 down if you want to play it when it comes out. Get a job, or beg your parents. Just stop whining.
