  1. Go back a bit, then start sprinting until you pass all the stones (all become red), then hit Whirlwind Sprint just as you pass the last stone and you should have no problem passing on the other side before the gate closes. Works everytime for me. but if you have tough luck, there's a mod that removes the gate.
  2. Yeah, happens to me every single time. He just stands there in the market doing nothing, but when I kill him, quest completes and I get no bounty for killing him. Weird. And also I've noticed the forswarn attack on the girl in the market of Markath will sometimes not trigger. Girl stays alive but other NPCs refer to her as being dead, while she's still walking around the inn. :D
  3. I agree, Thieves Guild has some of the best faction quests in my opinion, and they are not completely "evil" (non of the members strike me as evil unlike DB characters) so they are passable if you want to rollplay even as the good guy. I don't remember any of their quest involve killing NPCs, unless you make a mistake and have no other choice? (except "kill the traitor" moment)
  4. Well good thing is that there's no "Good" or "Evil" side when it comes to Civil War. They are both kinda natural in that regard, and if you speak to lot of NPCs, you'll notice that some of them support the Stormcloaks rebellion but do not support or like Ulfric and think he's just power-hungry. Same goes for the Empire, some NPCs are don't like politics, but they support the idea because it benefits the Empire overall. as for my character, I usually based it on what race I chose. If it's Nord, then of course I'll join the Rebelion. If I am Orc, Imperial or High Elf, I'll support the Empire. As for Dark Elf, I'll usually stay neutral (not taking any sides) and so on. Good thing is, you really don't have to do Civil War quest if you don't want to and just stay neutral. In my current (Nord) game, I am currently at level 60 and I have not yet taken any sides. I would love Hjerim tho, but oh well... :D Speakin' of that, I visited Greybeards roughly around 10-15 levels ago. Yes, lazy me.
  5. The lonely dog that meet its end after battle the dragon at Western Watchtower. (No! It is an acciden, believe me  ) And another one.. Narfi. Why Narfi. That is why I destroy Dark Brothehood. Yeah, Narfi is a sad situation. When I first met him, I wished I could make everything better (Not by killing of course) Next thing I know those vile Dark Brotherhood types asked me to kill him. WHY?! NO! whoever made the black sacrament to request his death is even more so to blame. I wish there could be a quest where you find out who it was and take vengence for Narfi's death. Yeah, he's situation is kinda sad. Especially if you help him and he tells you he never had a chance to say goodbye to his sister. Poor old guy, he got crazy after that. Then Dark Brotherhood tells you to kill him. Really? Why? (outside of "here's example of how these DB quest should be done") Why is there not a DB quest to off Nazim? :D I am pretty sure entire Whiterun wants him dead, me included. :ninja: If you're using Sneak Tools or SkyRE, never pass up a chance to knock him out cold just because you can. :ninja:
  6. Ok, thanks, I wanted to check out some simple modding tutorials anyway. :)
  7. You can try out this one too. It gives you two spells, one is for making every static item dynamic, so you can grab things like chair and tables into your inventory, and another spell gives you the option to fix item you drop from your inventory into place and rotate them, so it becomes usable again. It also adds dozens of furniture pieces to buy\sell from general merchants around the world, like banners, display cases, tables, shelves and so on.
  8. Thanks, I will check it out, but it doesn't look like it does what I want. As I said, I don't want to make changes to already existing armors in the game, just add those few with better stats. But I will definitively try this one out, maybe I can find good modded Iron and Steel armor, then use this mod to boost their stats. That way I can have both vanilla version and new improved in the game. thanks!
  9. Hi, I would like if someone could make or recommend me a mod that does this: in game, there are different tier and quality stats of vanilla armors. Not a replacer, I would still like to have basic and vanilla armors of regular stats, but for example, you can craft (or find) Steel Plate Armor set with higher stats, let's say equal to Dragon Armor quality. I really like the look of Iron\Steel\Steel Plate armor, but as the game progresses they become less useful once enemies start spawning with higher tier weapons and armor (like Dragon\Daedric). I am pretty sure mod like this existed, but I can't find it under search anymore. That mod added exactly what I described, you could craft lower tier armors with high tier stats (there was no change for required material, if it was Ebony Stats, it required Ebony Ingot, Basically you were making Ebony Armor that just happens to look like Iron Armor and so on). Crafting menu getting crowded is not a big problem, since I am using Crafting Overhaul mod, so I can easily filter it. if it's a huge work, I am ok with mod that only gives me those three armors with highest tier (let's say either Dragon or Daedric). if it's not too complicated and I could probably do it myself, if someone recommends me a good tutorial or tells me how to do it. Light Armors are really not needed, because outside of Leather Armor I really don't like looks of any other vanilla armor (with exception of faction related armors) and for vanilla armors there's always good looking\stats Nightingale Armor. Dunno I always thought my characters in Glass Armor looks like Christmas Tree. thanks.
  10. Hi OP, I think it's ok idea for armor "fits" While I am no modder, I imagine the idea of "shrinking" armor would be bit too heavy on scripts and it could mess up lot of other armor mods... but I got an idea, maybe someone could look into it. Basically there are no changes to armor itself, but get restriction on wearing armor\weapon of specific material unless you have perks, maybe smiting perks for those, like you can't wear Daedric armor unless you have Daedric smithing perk. Another restriction could be "custom fit\matching set" found in either Heavy or Light Armor. while leveled loot is ok in general, I always found it annoying when my new lvl 4-5 character kills Bandit Chif in that first mine near Riverwood (by sneak attacking) and ends up having full set of Steel or Steel Plate Armor. Yeah, it's not much, but it makes a huge difference at the beginning of the game when most enemies either have leather or iron armor. Getting higher tier armor should be rewarding, kinda like in old RPG games, when you literally begged to get that +1 weapon or armor in Baldur's Gate.
