Just some help with and verification of Load Order
MRELEKTRIK replied to MRELEKTRIK's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks for your help and suggestions. I am actually reinstalling all my mods cause last night I decided to move steam and all my games outside of program files. I always forget that steam defaults there(just rebuilt my pc a little while ago. Had a crash, lost a lot of artwork.) So hopefully now everything will run smooth and free of the uac. < Never get used to seeing that. The first time I saw it I thought DOOM had indoctrinated my computer. -
I often see Steam Overlay be required to be disabled to keep it from interfering with Skyrim Mods and well most Bethesda games. Many mod authors have told me to disable it or it may cause problems with enb's and so on. I am wondering if this would also be true for the GeForce Sharing overlay as well. It allows you to capture screenshots, video and steam or broadcast games you are playing. So I just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience in using this feature from GeForce and if I should disable it. I was actually going to try and use it for taking some videos and screenshots of my modded game but felt it almost imperative to at least ask if anyone knew if it would interfere with the game and/or any mods.

What texture are you using? I have noticed it with redguards as well on with some texture replacers when it is very dark or in dimly lit interiors. The Texture Blender by caliente might help but follow the instructions provided with it very carefully.

Just some help with and verification of Load Order

Thanks for the help. Should brawl bugs go below my followers so that they are affected by it, or put it near my character changes like hair face and stuff like that? Edit: I am also noticing an issue with collision for the hdt extension. I am using the cbbe hdt body, sexy idle animation, and the hdt breast and butt physics with collison but it doesn't seem to be working. I have the hdt effects just not the collision. ( Had to try it out. Never before have I seen physics extensions, thought it looked neat. Especially the hair.) This may be something that was caused by load order and now that XMPSE is at the bottom perhaps it will work right. Any advice is appreciated. -
Questions about SKSE Steam version, SFO Infinite Load Screens
MRELEKTRIK replied to MRELEKTRIK's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thank you for that information, I really was a bit hazy on what all that did. I haven't used a creation kit since Morrowind and found I didn't really quite have the knack for it. Course I was 16 and really just wanted to play more then create. -

Also, What is Papyrus and how would I set that up? I see people posting papyrus logs and it seems to be a very useful tool in tracking down problems. -

Questions about SKSE Steam version, SFO Infinite Load Screens

Just some help with and verification of Load Order
MRELEKTRIK replied to MRELEKTRIK's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I have installed Vividian and now when I try to load my last save which was made before install, I get a warning saying this rave relies on Vividian extended weathers.esp even though I am using the CoT compatible version. I load up the game anyway thinking it may just be an error but the game crashes within a few seconds after loading in. I have a clean save to revert to if need be. This is the load order with Vividian installed: -
Should I use the steam version or should I use the installer on their page? I have the installer already downloaded, but I installed the steam version. I always launch through SKSE with NMM since I disable the steam overlay. Also when I used SFO(Skyrim Flora Overhaul,) I would get infinite loading screens when entering or leaving areas near Markarth. In his Q&A section he recommended changing the SKSE ini, but when I go to the SKSE folder in my Skyrim\Data, no such file seems to exist. It doesn't have a place in my games, and does not show up in my Steam apps at all. This is why I am wondering if I should uninstall it and just use the installer they provide. My infinite load screen problem occurred as I said in Markarth. Texture mods that I use are as follows. SMIM, Skyrim 2k HD Overhaul Texture Pack, Vivid Landscapes, Vividian Weather Enhancement 7 with enb preset, Realistic Water Two with enb textures, Climates of Tamriel, Lanterns of Skyrim Legendary, Wearable Lanterns. This is my Load Order: These are my pc specs:

Just some help with and verification of Load Order
MRELEKTRIK replied to MRELEKTRIK's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Should Realistic Ragdoll Force also go down in the load order with those? This is my Load Order since I have installed Vividian. I haven't adjusted anything else yet. Also I do have the SMIM patch for Wearable Lanterns installed but there doesn't seem to be an esp file in plugins for it. Is that normal? -
I am using FNIS, XPMSE and Dual Sheath Redux as well as some other animations, and I am wondering where do these fit into load order groups? Is it something that changes game structure and should be placed near the top or would it go into an area that changes characters like npcs and self?

Just some help with and verification of Load Order
MRELEKTRIK replied to MRELEKTRIK's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I have made some changes to my load order based on the sticky thread on the support page, felt I should read that thoroughly and came out with a new load order. I also wanted to ask where animations and skeletons should fit into load order groups. New Load Order: -
Open up BodySlide and click on settings. In the general section check that BSA textures is marked as this will search for the textures you are using for your body, then click ok. If the body texture you are using has successfully overwritten the CBBE base texture it should show up in the preview. I would also click on the preview button and make sure you see the textures you are using are present. When using BodySlide only select the body you are using from the Outfit/Body drop down menu(for me I am using HDT so I will only select CBBE Body HDT.) Then you can select a preset close to the build you are looking for and create one to your liking and select build. You can save your sliders adjustments as an entirely new preset by selecting save as. If you are batch building bodies that may be some of the problem. They could be overwriting each other. I would recommend using the group manager and create a group just for the body you are using, then create another group just for the outfits you are using. Check out this video by Gopher for help on setting up and using bodyslide . If you are still having issues with the textures I would strongly recommend going onto Caliente's BodySlide page and asking the mod author for help as they will be able to give you far more help then I can. I hope what I have suggested can help and that your problem gets figured out soon. Edit: Sorry. I edited this because I forgot how to hide stuff.

Just some help with and verification of Load Order

I have used LOOt. Everything seems fine. I adjusted things a tiny bit based on my now somewhat limited knowledge from the old days. I just wanted to get some other opinions since it has been so long since I have done any modding. -
Just some help with and verification of Load Order

Also If someone thinks I might have issues, if need be I have two saves from the beginning of the game that are completely unmodded which I can switch back to. -
I haven't really modded since Oblivion and Morrowind days, and have tragically forgotten a lot of what I have learned about load order from chatting with modders like Brumbek, Vurt, and others many years ago now. So I have watched many videos on TES5Edit, TesLodgen, and Bodyslide, Cleaned my Skyrim Main files, and have begun modding. The game runs fine save for the first load CTD(1-2) on startup which I have read is fairly normal with ENB's which I am now switching to Vividian Weathers ENB since I really like it's compatible with COT5. Though have not installed it yet. Watching that video now. I was just hoping to post my Load order and see if people think it looks okay, cause it has seemed to work fine with my pc specs and setup(I will Post my pc specs as well) since I know all load orders will look a tiny bit different for others. So here it is. Mod List Load Order: This has been configured by the LOOT tool and adjusted based on Mod Authors instructions and based on my previous knowledge of modding. Though that was a long time ago now. I am also installing Realistic Water Two and it's ENB textures, Vividian Weather and Lighting Enhancement 7 The ENB version as well as Vivid Clouds and Fogs. I was also going to use Skyrim Flora Overhaul and SFO Billboards but when I was using it last, some areas would give me infinite loading screens and I decided it might too intensive with all the other mods I have as well. If anyone could give me some advice on whether this looks like an okay Load Order and where I might want to place the Vividian esp's.I have tested the game with other ENB's and all the mods listed and everything seems to run fine( I played for at least 4 hours straight with no crashes except with the infinte load time of SFO I was experiencing) but I just wanted to be thorough and careful and get a second opinion on it. My PC specs may not be important to too much of a degree but I wanted to be sure others thought it fully capable of running this setup since it's been a long time since I have modded a game. Specs Only wondering cause all this stuff is 3 years old now and not really top tier anymore what with 1080's and SSD's, plus the Sabertooth only runs two gpu's @x8. Edit: Sorry, I forgot how to hide things so I hid all the info into spoilers.

In this post I am going to update my first post as a small tutorial on installing the listed mods. The list may also increase or decrease depending. I will cover how to install each mod, what the best method of installation is, and in what order they should be installed. I will also include the extra steps one should take to ensure their game will run smoothly when they install all of these mods. I may quote some people tutorials and works so I will be sure to cite everything and include credits to those whose insight helped develop this tutorial. I put this in Mod Troubleshooting because it will help people possibly figure out what they might be doing wrong when they are installing some of the most common and popular mods, for people who might be new to modding and need extra insight. Most of this will come from readme's because following the readme will lead to successful modding. But knowing when to install a mod an oblivion is also important. Some files overwrite other and you should know why and what to ensure the right files are being overwritten; because in some, not all cases your mods will conflict with each other unless they are installed after or before other mods. As this is being written if people noticing I am doing something wrong or have made a mistake in anyway, please correct me. I wanted this to be a helpful pit stop of a troubleshooter that discusses how to get mods to cooperate with each other and work correctly. I would feel ashamed if I sent someone in the completely wrong direction. P.S. It may take me a while to complete. I want to test and record installing and running everything to make sure my tutorial will be comprehensive and exact.

I want to use the Unofficial Oblivion patches. I also want to use qarls texture pack and some others. I have a list of some really excellent mods and they work together most of the time if not for my subtle errors when I mess up. But I have got them working. I wanted to make this page to list the mods and patches used, and also what the best order to install them and means of installing them (wrye bash, obmm, manual) would be. These mods I have found to be very popular but there are always people who get the installation wrong. Even myself. Haha. With this page people could find compatible working mods and have a place to troubleshoot why they're not working properly and what to do if they're not. The Mods are: Oblivion Script Extender Oblivion Graphics Extender V 3 Unofficial Oblivion Patches (Shivering Isles, Mods, Qarls Compatible Patch) OBGE Liquid Water RAEVWD (Really Almost Everything Viewed When Distant) TES4LODGEN Qarl's Texture Pack 3 Bomret's Shivering Isles Texture Pack Improved Tree's and Flora 1&2 Improved Vegetables and Meats Improved Signs Complete Better Blood All Natural Better Cities AWLS (Animated Window Lighting System) Better Tiling 2048 Lod Textures Koldorn's Noise Replacer Qarl's Compressed 4096 Lod Maps These are some of the top downloaded texture and model mods for oblivion available. My question is what is the best order to install these and what would be the best way to install each one. If there are other mods people want to include or exclude lets check it out, and see what we can get to work together best and how, so that anyone and everyone can be able to get the best experience possible out of there Oblivion games.

Load Order Questions concerning Better Cities
MRELEKTRIK replied to MRELEKTRIK's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
When I reinstall everything, would it be wisest to only use wrye bash, unless it's an omod for use with obmm? And also, after a clean install I will obviously need to reinstall obse and obge, can I use wrye bash for doing that? I originally used the Nexusmm but it is a pain. -

When I install with wrye bash do I just drop my archive into the installer? -

Alright. I will start doing that. Should I just start from a fresh install and make a totally clean save outside cities and all that? I also use qarl's texture pack omod, and hgec. -

Yea, Sometimes it makes it worse when I try to leave and save, when I go back sometimes it's still the same and other times I think more is missing.
