Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Nexus uploader's a joke. Can't even post a jpeg attachment (file too big). So, I'll just type it. INISetting iMinMemoryPageSize:Papyrus >> 128 INISetting iMaxMemoryPageSize:Papyrus >> 512 INISetting iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes >> NOT FOUND (figures) Here's my skyrim.ini: [Papyrus] fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 iMinMemoryPageSize=128 iMaxMemoryPageSize=512 bEnableLogging=0 bEnableTrace=0 bLoadDebugInformation=0 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800 http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/oo154/Nickk_/bth_left.jpg Okay, so maybe the arrow's not actually in my ini, but I'm just "pointing it out". As you can see, SkyUI (or Papyrus itself) is ignoring this particular line. I really wish it wouldn't do that anymore.- 134 replies

... which relies on SKSE for the functions used to query the INI settings... When I recently reinstalled Skyrim, I also (obviously) reinstalled SKSE. Unless of course there's been an update within the last 3 days.- 134 replies

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?

My Syrim is default too. All new data. Still have the error. I reinstalled Skyrim recently. All I'm trying to use is SKSE, FNIS, and SkyUI, so no major changes were made to my data files after reinstalling a vanilla Skyrim.- 134 replies

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It's not Skyrim that's the problem. It's SkyUI. In fact, every other mod works beautifully (after my magic touch, of course) in MO or otherwise. I did forget a couple things though. I manually installed FavoredSoul's Nude Males (Adult, obviously), because I know I'll never be uninstalling it. I also have Fus Ro Doh! installed. That's all of them. I didn't even activate my "Unofficial Patches" or my HD textures DLC. If I remember correctly, I didn't even have Dawngaurd, Hearthfire, or Dragonborn active when I tested, but my problems all began when I was playing as normal, with like 30 mods active. Thing is, the error occured out of the clear blue during gameplay. It wasn't after a load or anything, just right in the middle of business as usual. Only me, you know? Only me.- 134 replies

You found 2 mods for it? You say you have mods that aren't working? That's what I'm here for! What are they? You ever get that error message I was talking about? Did you see one that says the mod "will probably not work right", and asks if you wanna install anyway? I'll solve all your MO problems bro! btw, sorry I took forever to reply. I just got off a 12 hour work day (sucked), and I have no internet access at work. I'll be back later. I really need to get some sleep, so if I don't reply right away, it's because I'm sleeping my tired arse off. Oh, and I don't mean to preach, but you may want to "Edit" your post, and take those 2 lines out. Moderators don't like words like those, and I'd hate to see you get banned for something silly like that. Just a heads up.

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Here's my mod list: SKSE FNIS SkyUI That's it. I have the default skyrim.ini now. There's no reason SkyUI should have a problem with a new Skyrim. It's brand new! Even my MO is new (now). I think perhaps SkyUI desperately needs an update. Oh, @CraftySentinel, this message is certainly not false. All I get now is the MCM logo. No menus are in it, and no settings can be configured, as there are no options to choose from. Just the logo. Haven't had the time to try the console reports. I'll try right after getting some much needed sleep, but this won't fix my problem, and I'm sure I'll get some error messages.- 134 replies

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I've taken all traces of Skyrim out of my comp files, and tucked them away in a folder over in the corner somewhere. My Skyrim couldn't be more default. It's a brand new, butt-naked, standard, vanilla Skyrim (eeeeww...). I installed SKSE, FNIS, and SkyUI. SAME :wallbash: ***ING :wallbash: ERROR!! :wallbash: Ouch! My face! (lol) I just don't get it. Are there any mods that do the same thing as SkyUI? I'm not going to keep trying to use an obviously flawed mod... I definately need a MCM though. Can aything else give me that? Keep in mind, this problem started in mid-game. Walked outside of BBLS, and boom. http://forums.nexusmods.com/uploads//monthly_08_2013/post-5622666-0-06364500-1375663143_thumb.jpg Permanent problem.- 134 replies

All those things? You mean FNIS, SKSE, BOSS, etc? If that's what you mean, then no. You'll need that stuff to use certain mods though (a lot of mods, actually). Once you have MO installed properly, updating is as simple as right-clicking the version number (will be green or red) and clicking on "information". On the top-right, click the "Nexus info" tab, and you'll see what you're looking for. Remember, you should always download files manually (not with NMM), and put them all in a folder that you'll be able to easily locate (mine is called "Skyrim Reborn"), and use the icon on the top, all the way to the left of your MO main menu to find that folder, and dl the mods you put in your mods folder. So: create a folder on your desktop, and name it something easy to remember. Download all your mods "manually", and "save as..." to that folder every time you dl a mod. Click far left top icon (looks like little cd in front of files), and click "Browse" to find it on your desktop. Open the folder, and double-click the mod to install. You may, from time to time, get an error, saying that there is "no game data on top level", but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Good luck, and let me know if you're still having problems.

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I've officially tried everything. I even reinstalled MO, because of the .ini file in my profiles. Got rid of the old MO, and started with a brand new one. Started it with SkyUI as my only active mod. Totally default skyrim.ini in every way. Same error. Maybe SkyUI needs an update (badly). I mean, if it can't even recognise the default ini, with no mods, then it has to be a SkyUI problem. Skyrim stays turned off until SkyUI's next update, I guess. I'm gonna be playing a lot of Sims 3... The launcher doesn't even work for Sims 3. :verymad: Problem after problem!- 134 replies

Okay, I'll go try right away......(runs away in a hurry) Edit: Nope. Still there. Altered that ini too, and nothing. I'm about to just erase all of Skyrim, and reinstall the game again (again/again). There's gotta be a valid ini [Papyrus] setting.- 134 replies

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I strait-up deleted my skyrim.ini, started a new game without my mods active, and got a brand new .ini. Here is what a true default skyrim.ini file looks like: Still got the error! I disabled SkyUI. I'm going to try the game without it, after I add a few lines from GummyAim's [Papyrus] block. Then I'll reactivate it and see if anything good happens. I won't be able to play at all if this message doesn't go away. I've seen what happens to mods when you ignore this warning...it's not pretty. Edit: Right, didn't realize my attachment was going to be download only, so here's what it says: I'll just leave the attachment there, in case anyone wants a copy of the default .ini.- 134 replies

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Nope. Same stupid error. I reinstalled Skyrim, used a new profile in MO, all different mods, still get the error. How the heck can this be possible? It's like there is no way to figure out what [Papyrus] settings I'm supposed to be using. When I reinstalled Skyrim, I still had the same exact skyrim.ini. I'm afraid to erase it, because I don't think I'll ever see my .ini again if I do. Reinstalling Skyrim doesn't give me a new .ini, for some stupid reason! I can't play Skyrim until this rediculous, and unexplainable phenomenon is fixed. Why the heck did this problem even start? I haven't messed with my skyrim.ini in a really long time. Why is it suddenly having problems?? Is their no solution? I've used hundreds of mods, and played for hundreds and hundreds of hours, and I've never even heard of this crap before! All the wikis have it wrong, too. How rediculous! A completely destroyed Skyrim! Stupid INI !! :wallbash: Anyone know the true default? It's my only hope!- 134 replies

Okay. Bunch more stuff to say. The 1st time I reinstalled NMM, my mods were put into a file, and only some of them reinstalled into NMM on their own. The others, I had to get from the file I mentioned (think it just said "Nexus Mod Manager" to be honest) and drag-n-drop them back into NMM to reinstall. Medium level inconvenience. The last time I reinstalled, all of them were there, but I can't remember if any were still active. I don't think so. That was a minor inconvenience. If you're actually thinking of switching to MO, you have the option to copy mods strait from your NMM to your MO. You also have the ability to click a link inside MO that takes you to the Nexus site using a browser that comes with MO. Downloading "manually" with that, from the Nexus, using MO's browser, you will download the mod directly into MO. If you decide to use MO, be ready for a few changes in your usual download/install routine. I may be making it sound complicated, and I suppose it is a little, but all my problems disappeared when I started using it. It's just awesome. You can (and must) run SKSE with it, FNIS, Wrybash, Creation Kit, BOSS, and TES5Edit using MO. I'll never use anything else. If you want to keep using NMM, I'd say just reinstall it. Hopefully, you don't have a truckload of mods. I stopped using 100+ mods a while ago. Just too many problems. Life's better with only 20-30 active mods IMO. Now if I can just solve my skyrim.ini issue...(unrelated)

You're looking at a huge failure of NMM. When you click the NMM, it does open, right? Things like this are the reason I switched to MO. Here's a guide. Have you tried reinstalling NMM? If you don't have the option to add a children's bedroom, then Hearthfire is not being read. There are 3 things you can try: 1) Reinstall NMM, and try it again (after making sure all mods are in there) 2) Begin manually installing mods, instead of using NMM 3) Use MO *4) Last resort: Reinstall Skyrim MO is more complicated than NMM, and mods are installed in a slightly different way, but once you've figured it out, it will become your very best friend, If that's what you want to use, I'll help with any problems you have with it, or anything you don't understand. I love MO!

Papyrus ini settings are invalid?
AwfulArchdemon replied to AwfulArchdemon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Yup. That's the one. Try to replace with this [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=800.0 iMinMemoryPageSize=128 iMaxMemoryPageSize=4096 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=8038608 bEnableLogging=0 bEnableTrace=0 bLoadDebugInformation=0 Will do. I just erased my [Papyrus] info from my .ini entirely, and reinstalled Skyrim, so after I reinstall a buttload of stuff, I'll give it a shot, if I still need to. Why do I get the feeling my .ini will still have a blank space where the [Papyrus] info was, even though I reinstalled...hope I'm wrong about that. I'll be back.- 134 replies

Okay. Buncha stuff to say: When you use NMM, and you can't get it to download, it means: 1) The server you're trying to use is down, and you should use one from a different location, like Seatle, or Salt Lake City 3 or 4, for example. or 2) The Nexus itself is having server issues of it's own, and you'd be lucky to get back on right away if you "x-ed out", and looked the site up again. The files I speak of are located in your computer files (C:). The location is: C:\program files\steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\data\ You should see your .esp files at the bottom somewhere in your 'data' file. If you use texture mods, like armor, or prettier faces, stuff like that, you'll see more information in your 'meshes' and 'textures' files. Every mod has it's own path, but most of them end up being installed right into your data folder. I could tell you about a hundred different things about installing, and packaging mods, and so on, but I'll try to keep it short. Creation Kit is a modders tool. If you're asking, then you didn't download it from Steam, so unless you plan learning how to mod (like I did), don't worry about it. I was just asking because if you had it, and now you suddenly don't, I'd have to give you different instructions.
-
Have you checked your data folder to see if the mod data was there? What about your saves? Have you looked for them in your files? Do you still have a working Creation Kit?? Verify that your mod data is being added to your game when you activate them in NMM (if that's what you use). Also, run the game through the Skyrim launcher and make sure your "data" tab shows that you have the .esp's you got from your mods, and that they are 'checked'.

A picture is worth a thousand words: I've checked the wikis, and none of the "presets" they have listed make the error go away. It refers me to the SkyUI troubleshooting section, but it doesn't help. It takes me here. Didn't work. Here is what my most recent adjustment to the skyrim.ini looks like: I'm out of ideas. I've tried a bunch of different settings, but the error remains. Anyone know a sure way to get rid of this error? Edit: I tried adding a '0' to [iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=76800] to give it more min memory to work with, but that was apparently not the issue. I'm not sure what I need to change. I don't want to get .ini file too messed up. Maybe I'm missing a line I need or something? I have no custom .ini file to alter.

Great. That certainly sucks. I've been getting that error since I woke up today. Oh well, that's life. Thanks anyway, DrakeTheDragon. Time will have to heal this wound I guess. Looks like there's no way to mark THIS problem solved... :(

I've been trying all day to log on to my favorite site (I'm doing work there), and I get this message: SQL Error An error occured with the SQL server: This is not a problem with the IPS Community Suite but rather with your SQL server. Please contact your host and copy the message shown above. ← Return to the index ************************************************************************************************************************************************************** This happened before, but I was given the option to return to an earlier session (date) and read earlier posts. When that happened, I started browsing the site, and I realized that I was suddenly viewing new material. The problem was then fixed, until now. I have gotten no option to return to an earlier session this time, and downloading Microsoft SQL Server 2012 changed nothing, so I immediately uninstalled it. Using the "start" menu, I attempted to restore my computer to an earlier date (before my latest Windows update, on May 28th, and I tried May 21st), but I recieved an "unspecific error" that made them both fail. No other browsers let me visit the site, as all give the same exact SQL Error. I have searched a lot of FAQ forums, but none seem to give an answer. They all give answers to SQL Errors with numers and descriptions, but my error displays neither. Can my computer solve this problem on it's own, or do I need to download an program? I do not wish to install anything else on my computer, but if it's the only way to solve this problem once and for all, then so be it. I use an Alienware i-7 X51 6 G Ram 1 Terra harddrive Windows 7 I use the programs that were already installed on my computer, meaning Windows 7 was already there, and I have altered it in no way, aside from standard updates. I have attempted to view the site using IE, Google, and Bing. All give the same error. I checked, and the site is up and running, and it is under no maintainance at the time.
