  1. Thanks for the reply :) I realized I have missed a detail. Where you said about GPU crashing and recovering but not completely, I forgot to mention that after leaving it for a few minutes (this time length also a random factor) on the start menu or inventory it will recover completely. Occasionally it will recover after pressing start and then exiting, other times it will take ages. Also saving the game and reloading without exiting will work.

Factory OC though I did tinker with it, I will restore to default and report back ;)

GPU temp is nice n cool and my 955 isn't particularly high either.

No dust as it is a new build :)

My PSU appears to be providing adequate power but how would I test this as you say?

I must say that 99.9999% of my game is not affected by this issue. It happens and I can be back playing my game normally in around 2 minutes (thats if i need to restart skyrim) so this issue isn't exactly major or game breaking, just annoying :)

Anyway thank you for your suggestions, if I find a cure I will post it here and let you know, if not I shall keep searching.

  2. I imagine this one has been posted before but seemingly at random during play my game will freeze for ~1-2 seconds, go to a black screen, also for ~1-2 seconds and then return to the game but with a vastly reduced frame rate - the FPS appears to be about 5 (at a guess). The frame rate deaths happen randomly, i originally thought it was due to large amounts of NPCs in an area but this occurred the other day when I was stood still in an area with 2 NPCs. Note: I have ENB running and am using a GTX 660 OC, Phenom II x4 955BE & 8Gb RAM
  3. no just go to steam, your library, right clic Skyrim---»property----»local files

and sorry Oubliette, haven't seen you've already answered...;)

Thanks korun :) This backup process ignores mods? I'm doing it now but I don't quite understand how it knows to ignore mods..

  4. Delete your Skyrim folder. Then have steam verify your game. It'll reinstall the exe's and BSA's and you'll have a clean install.

To confirm - Steam>SteamApps>common>Skyrim Delete that folder? How do I get steam to verify my game? Do I need to use the disk?

  5. The wooden leg YES. I had this idea literally a few hours ago.. would work brilliantly with Seadog Armour by (I think) Hothtrooper44 and the Bandolier mod. The hook looks good but would be impractical.. would it count as a weapon? if not be prepared for some serious clipping when holding a sword or bow with your hook hand :P Personally I think it would be pretty cool as a weapon that could not be removed... if you were willing to make the sacrifice.
  6. I wish to remove all mods, scripts and stuff (including ENB, AV, ATTK...) so I have the vanilla game again. Is this possible by simply deleting everything with the NMM and going into the Skyrim folder for things such as AV, ENBs and SKSE? I understand this will make saved games unplayable but I will delete ALL of these anyway. So basically is this safe to do?
