  1. In response to post #11799375. #11799815 is also a reply to the same post. Yeah. Tried that. No good.
  2. Is anybody else experiencing no updated information once logged in with 0.47.2? I've tried putting my firewall into learn mode, and even disabling it for a bit, without success. I've also logged out, then back in again. I'm also not getting any "cannot connect to server" error messages.
  3. Sound advice. I suggest a visit to www.matousec.com to see how firewalls/av/am perform when properly tested. Suffice to say, some household names are routinely in the "not recommended" category.
  4. I'm assuming you have Windows 7 or 8. If you have installed Steam into the default Program Files, unfortunately User Account Control (UAC) will interfere. It is better to install Steam to a separate directory, or for space and convenience, to a separate disk drive. Either way, this will help keep UAC from mucking things up. It is not recommended to disable UAC - you can if you want to, but if you are new to PC then I'd keep it in place. There is also a method of installing Steam games to a separate folder away from the Program Files directory, but I'm not familiar with it. Google will help. You should follow advice here: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation Good luck!
  5. In response to post #7519591. #7520302 is also a reply to the same post. That didn't work. It would be helpful to have some previous releases to try, say from two versions back.
  6. This is ridiculous. Since this update I am unable to load a game at all.
  7. In response to post #7517591. Aaaand now it's uninstalling all my mods. Every. Single. One. Great.
  8. Game wont load with latest update :( Is there any way to revert to a previous version?
  9. Well that's an unusual way to log in to Skyrim Nexus: by logging into Fallout3 Nexus - the only way I could get in...
  10. I've been having this problem recently too. Unfortunately it coincides with the addition of a few new mods and a new ENB profile and I've not been able to isolate the cause. The game would crash immediately on saving a game (these are incremented, separate saves using Skyrim Incremental saver). Even though the game crashed at save, the save game is usable, but I suppose probably corrupted. I've now opted for a complete fresh reinstall and new game. Dan, I hope you're right about the free space issue. I'll give the disks a scrub once everything's reinstalled. This is a very frustrating issue and it doesn't seem to be widespread. Could I ask whether others suffering this are using ENB, if so what version and profile? I've been using 1.09 with Sharpshooters Extreme ENB. I don't think the profile is the problem, if anything it might be the new 1.09, but it seems more like a wild scripting issue.
  11. It's been slow into the nexus for the last couple of days. And logging into the forum today (1433) is virtually catatonic. And another thing: one tab has my login window and the site saying "please stand by" and continuing to load. However, I can open a new tab with the links from the main page as if I'm logged in.
