Vortex does indeed work with Windows 11.  I have three gaming computers (I collect them) running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit.  Vortex is alive and well on all three.

I know this information doesn't help you resolve any problem you may be having.  If you could explain in more detail, then perhaps some knowledgeable person could  be of assistance.

How to do it in 2023/24 ?!?

In "Forums" click on your forum ID in the upper right hand corner, then select "Profile," and then click on "See my activity," which is on the right hand side just below the cover photo.

In my case, this brings up 109 pages of content.  However, a number of game specific posts are missing.  The reason for that is probably because the content has not yet been migrated into the new Nexus Mods setup.

  3. To avoid reordering, turn on plugin management, order your mods, and then turn off plugin management in the Vortex settings for Starfield.  When next you load your game, the mods retain the preferred load order.  You can verify that by clicking on "View Plugins File."

The reordering issue is probably a bug, as showler notes in the following post.  My solution is a workaround that I am using until the problem is properly rectified in Vortex.

Good evening - Not too sure what I am doing wrong.  I have 4 mods total and am using the Game Pass Version.  I have enabled the new loading order function, deployed the mods and I am stuck.  In the load order screen 2 of the 3 loads are locked and have an exclamation mark with "Not Managed by Vortex"  The 3rd I can clock on, but I cannot move it up or down.  I only use Vortex for modding, so I am not sure I understand why it is telling me they are not managed by Vortex.  I have purged, uninstalled, reinstall, redeployed, disabled, restarted Vortex, and enabled.  Feels like I am just missing something, or flipping another switch.  Thanks in advance for any help.

The two "Not Managed" plugins are part and parcel of the vanilla game that you downloaded.  That is why they are not managed by Vortex and why they cannot be moved in the load order.

  5. There are no options applicable to my situation.  Fatigued by Skyrim SE updates, I simply killed the Steam update process before the AE edition appeared.  I am still playing 1.5.97.0.  I have downloaded and saved an enormous inventory of Skyrim SE mods from that era and so have not yet run out of interesting things to do.

I wonder - how many Skyrim SE players are still using this version?

You still haven't explained why do you think they have MORAL right to do what they did. Your condescending attitude is ridiculous.

Why do you think Bethesda's actions are disrespectful toward those who have paid for a game license?  That is the more fundamental question.

Yeah, that seems a common fallacy. Just because something is legal, doesn't mean its right.

Agreed.  That is exactly why I had distinguished the two concepts by saying "has every right legally and morally" rather than conflating them by saying "has every right legally and therefore morally."

  8. In response to some of the absurd claims and analogies proffered in this thread, please note the following paragraphs from the Skyrim EULA (full text can be found on Steam):

"LICENSE. Subject to this Agreement and its terms and conditions, LICENSOR hereby grants you the non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right and license to use one copy of the Software for your personal, non-commercial use on a single home or portable console or computer. The Software is being licensed to you and you hereby acknowledge that no title or ownership in the Software is being transferred or assigned and this Agreement should not be construed as a sale or transfer of any rights in the Software. All rights not specifically granted under this Agreement are reserved by LICENSOR and, as applicable, its licensors.

OWNERSHIP. LICENSOR retains all right, title and interest to this Software, including, but not limited to, all copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, trade names, proprietary rights, patents, titles, computer and software codes, audiovisual effects, themes, characters, character names, stories, dialog, settings, artwork, sounds effects, musical works, and moral rights. The Software is protected by United States copyright law and applicable copyright laws and treaties throughout the world."

Summary:  Bethesda grants a license to use Skyrim.  Bethesda does not transfer ownership of Skyrim.  (BTW, this is a standard game EULA.)

With the update to Skyrim, Bethesda has launched its new Verified Creator Program. This allows mod authors to sell their mods through Bethesda's Creation Club store and earn a cut of the sale price.

This looks to be the long-suspected "paid mods" update to Bethesda.net ahead of modding being enabled for Starfield.

Check out the details here:  https://creations.bethesda.net/en/creators/bethesdagamestudios

    What do you think?

    What I think.

Firstly, Bethesda has every right legally and morally to do this, since these games are their lawful intellectual property.

Secondly, Modders have every right legally and morally to participate in the VCP, should they wish to do so.

Thirdly, I have every right legally and morally NOT to buy mods from Bethesda or any other mod vendor.  (This is a right that I have exercised in the past and will continue to exercise in the future.)

Fourthly, I'm not going to lose any sleep over this vastly overblown issue.

Second, what is this mess of the forums. I click forums and it isn't for the game I use, the ONLY game I use (I don't care about your top popular game forums I have zero use for it, though I guess if you know your game is a top game that would be an fast link to your forum). So I have to click my profile and find my activity, I feel like I am clicking around and all over the place just too see what I once saw in 1 click.

To find your game forum, click on Forums at the top of this page and scroll all the way down the page to Nexus Mods Game Forums.

First, not having quick links to my friends is awful, only some I had PM conversations. And I forget the names (spellings and such).

To locate friends, go to the Nexus Mods home page, click on My Profile, and append "?tab=friends" to the My Profile address.

Not a GPU issue either, using a GTX 1660.

Did you in fact disable GPU acceleration to determine whether or not this is a GPU issue?  Is that what your statement means?

Looks like I will have to Uninstall Vortex and reinstall and go through all my mods and install again.

Uninstalling Vortex does not uninstall your mods.  That would happen only if you deleted your Vortex folder in AppData and your Mod Staging Folder, wherever that might be.
