  1. I installed to make sure it's there, but there's only one for Chrome which explicitly says it's only needed for Chrome to work.
  2. No I had no idea it existed! Would've probably been a good support answer. I don't have Vortex anymore so I can't really try, and I'm not interested anymore, but thanks a lot for hinting. If I knew it worked I would put it as the answer... Maybe I should anyways, if it's true and it exists it's probably the way it should be fixed.
  3. Your attitude is very demeaning and targeted towards fellow users, you can improve that by trying to help people asking for help instead. If you can't help you should probably stay in threads that are not related to problem solving. Thanks in advance.
  4. ... vortex DOES work, and has for years. ... Yes and we can leave it at that, a lot of people are having problems with apps that works for others. I explained in detail what was wrong, and provided means to fix it. It's not rocket science.
  5. That's nice Mine would probably also pick up the new registry setting too if I would reset firefox, because I had an old application setting for Vortex already in Firefox. I use Firefox for too many things though to reset it, I do my own maintenance from time to time. My advised fix would work for everyone, even linux and mac, for people dabbling. Not many people take the time to go through a forum, checking the rules and all that just to report a problem. There are tons of issues with Vortex not downloading though, and almost noone gets actual help more than the generic 'you can try to reinstall' or 'try another app/operating system/computer/whatever' you're supposed to change or invest in to fix issues for Vortex and nexusmods. I could've skipped saying that part though to not confuse, thanks for asking. TLDR; it's not user friendly to try to support through a generic forum. Sry I brought it up.
  6. I have the solution for the last part. The list on the page is stored in the browser for some reason, so you really have to empty all cache, cookies and localstorage for nexusmods.com . To make sure, you can close and open the browser again after, and when you login again at nexus it should read in the games you actually stored there. The fix for this for nexusmods is to always empty the list and then load the list from the server when logging, being away for a time, or adding/removing a favourite. It's also a very quick fix for a problem that affects most people at some point if they add and remove favourites.
  7. I understand, but the last part was a joke. I posted the complaint about 10 minutes after I realized that Vortex didn't work, and I'm not using Vortex at all because it's not very good and doesn't really work fully with any recent games. I fixed it myself because of that guy that said that only Chrome works for Vortex, which I naturally can't use because of reasons that most people know by now, and this is not the place to start a discussion about company vs company. Ofcourse I don't expect to actually get a refund. Noone gets refunds and that's what this site makes it living from. I cancelled the subscription immediately though. This is not the first time I've subscribed here, I've had premium before to download big files faster. This time I didn't get anything out of it because of the bug and that the necessity to fix it myself took away any joy, but I still can if I want to, my payment lasts like 30 days or something. I did try to download part of collection to see that my solution worked, so I've used data, it would've taken like an hour for about a 5 minute download so I gave that up of course. I've also looked for configurations to tweak starfield FOV and such, maybe I downloaded a couple 0.1kb files there if I couldn't just copy the config variables directly from the description. That's all from me, I'm sorry if you feel depressed in any way because of my words about this product, it's not about you, I promise, and I will not buy premium again no matter how much hate I get for that.
  8. As additional feedback, with this forum as the only support, and the support employees not knowing anything about the app or computers/Windows in general, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy or donate to this organisation. Fixing the bugs for the seller is not what a customer should have to do. Especially not easily fixable ones that are obvious, not edge cases and affects almost everyone in one way or another. 0/10 / Can I get refund?
  9. Yes I use Firefox, naturally. But I'm also accustomed to using custom protocols like nxm, it works for every custom protocol handle I create. The only thing it does is opening an app with the URI as a parameter, Firefox does that quite well without flaws. When I open Vortex manually through terminal with the nxm link it doesn't work either, which it should no matter what browsers you have installed. Conclusion is that it is a problem with Vortex as it doesn't work without browser either. Edit: I did find what was wrong, btw. It's that Vortex requires an argument switch '-d', that makes it incompatible with most browsers usage of automatic protocol handling, unless it's installer automatically adds those commands to each. You can find the command that is registered with Windows at `Computer\HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-277564299-4129582652-396546724-1000\Software\Classes\nxm\shell\open\command`. Vortex can easily fix this bug by checking if the first parameter starts with `nxm:`
  10. - Which version of Vortex are you using? 1.9.3 - Which game are you modding and which game store did you purchase it from? Steam SkyrimSE+AE - Which mods are you trying to use? Immersive & Pure collection - What steps did you take before you encountered the error? Clicked Add to Vortex - What is the specific error message you received? No error message Vortex doesn't seem to be able to add collections. This is what happens: - I open Vortex - I go to Collections - I click Discover more collections - nexusmods opens showing a table of collections - I open one of the collections - I click Add to Vortex - The button animates and Vortex takes focus - Nothing else happens What I expect to happen: - Vortex takes focus - Vortex starts adding the mods from the collection and downloads them How I prepared: I installed Vortex I bought Premium for collections I added Skyrim SE I made sure the mod staging folder i on the same drive and selected hardlinked I set download folder to be on the same drive too Allow symlinks without elevation is set - Actually this is already allowed globally on my system as I'm a dev and need it I tried adding images to this report to be more informative, but it's not allowed to show an image in an error report here for some incomprehensible reason. It would help a lot in most cases. I'm really starting to regret buying premium, unless there are some actual support for Vortex which I couldn't find on the page.
  11. In response to post #36886230. #36886405, #36886615 are all replies on the same post. I can only find the Windows version, where can I find a version for Linux?
  12. Just a thought.. Can anyone mention any kickstarter project ending up in a promised product? ever?
  13. The below is just my thoughts on this, it is not a rant, just words in a comment-field. I am really looking forward to those changes that makes NMM or the Site adapt to using the same multiversion format (ie. downloading an addon to a mod, and the addons latest versionnumber differs from the main plugin). Or same formats at all actually, would be really nice indeed. Being able to retry/resume downloads would be nice too. Being able to view what .esp is installed by what mod is another thing I am really looking forward to. And a way to see how large a mods archive is in the list (in bytes), to be able to compare and possibly know which file is which. I rather have more file info, but at least just a tiny bit is more than nothing. Sorting mods by install-date, file-date, author and the other columns would be nice too. I would rather that the modinfo (html-info) would not move all columns when shown, a compromise would possibly be to always show the modinfo-area, or even better have the option to make it show somewhere else entirely. With all that it would be pretty much close to perfect. =) NMM is a very very good and easy-to-use mod-installer, I cant seem to find any other easier to use, I really appreciate all the effort. I really do!
  14. Oops, yeah, you're both right, sorry about that! =) Certainly looking forward to it!
  15. But... but.. but I like the game! Sure, sandbox-games get tedious after too much play, but I know it will be fun again in a few months and probably with some really cool new mods by then. =)
  16. Last promise from Bethesda was "In the beginning of January". So I guess they mean next year.
