  1. I've been googling these words including "The Witcher 3" in as many ways possible and am having difficulty finding anything that hints How I would begin manually merging. A mod I'm trying to use basically requires it if I want to use anything else on top of it. I realize my question might come off as stupid to some, or maybe it's there in google and I overlooked it, I've spent more than a few hours searching for the answer already in failure in the past week.
  2. Okay so this is more of me asking for guidance than requesting a mod. Or what I mean is I may have plans in the future to make a certain mod, but I'd like Minimal advice... Now to be more specific. The idea: A dueling mod. Why? You can brawl on Skyrim but you can't "brawl" (or duel I should say) with weapons or magic. I mean you can but you get the picture. How I want it to work. For now I would hope it's as simple as you walk up to somebody and request a brawl, except it's a duel and that it can only be done against targets of their own class. So you can't ask Ysolda to engage in a magical duel with you, and all that. Right now I feel like it's a realistic goal for my first mod ever and it sounds easy (I'm quite handy with the Creation Kit but NOT Payprus / scripting!) but I need advice, specific links that would help me learn and get better at scripting itself, I'm going to be following a Quest Tutorial on the Creation Kit wiki but yeah... I'm going to hopefully use this thread so I can ask for help if I need to, and try to get this to come to life.

It doesn't matter where I am in the game, it doesn't matter if I have 1 hour on a save, 200 hours on a save, or 20 seconds, if I kill something with fire there is a CHANCE that I crash, seriously (Yep I'm dead serious). The fire that gets me CTD'd is UNALTERED vanilla Skyrim spells so far. The Fire Thu'um, just the first word: Yol Flames Fireball Firebolt All have been known to give me issues every now and then, and usually only when the fire kills the target on a direct hit. If the target dies from the burn "damage-over-time" they don't cause problems but if a fireball connects to someone's face when they're at 1 hp not only do I have a % chance to have an awesome kill move animation, I have a % chance that the fireball explodes my game and I ctd (no error) to desktop ever so harmlessly. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free.
  4. So if I'm understanding what I've read so far. It's okay to have a decent amount of scripted mods as long as you don't have 1,000 scripted mods running at the same time constantly? For example, I use: Realistic Needs and Diseases Wet and Cold Frostfall
  5. Thanks for the answer, it is what I was looking for. I've been looking in the Creation Kit guide but what you or anyone know where I could learn all of these script labels and commands like Alias_Blank.GetReference().Enable() ?
  6. First, I am sorry if my question comes off as offensively dense, or something that I could have easily found myself. If that is so then I've made it very difficult for myself to find it, here is my question in detal so I don't confuse you...But first here is an example of what I want to do: Becoming a Thane, receive a Housecarl When you complete Dragon Rising (the dragon slaying quest in Whiterun), the Jarl will appoint Lydia as your Housecarl correct? 1. Complete Dragon Rising. 2. Script from ending dialogue with Jarl (I appoint you Thane etc...) that deals with Lydia. 3. Lydia is enabled. I am trying to create a Housecarl to be given to me once I've satisfied the Jarl of Winterhold, I've made her and her name is Kezza. So here's what I would like to know in order to fully complete Kezza and further my modding abilities for newer, bigger things: 1. How do I find / refer to the scripts that answer my question, like the ending dialogue after Dragon Rising that enables Lydia? I don't know where to find them though I've searched poorly. 2. How do I enable Kezza after she is initially disabled, preferablly via the quest dialogue that ends the Jarl of Winterhold's Thane quest (Favor 257 in Creation Kit ID). 3. How do I know what commands are usable in the scripting process when I create and open New Scripts that are attached to Actors or Quests etc? I can get to the logs but I have no idea where to find commands, or something that explains it completely. (I've only been through the Create A Quest portion of the Creation Kit Guide and it held your hand the whole way.) Thanks for reading and any answers or attempts.
  7. ERROR: File "Injure Set.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded. ERROR: File "SkyTEST-RealisticAnimals&Predators.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded. ERROR: File "CLARALUX - More and Brighter Lights.esm" does not exist or is not currently loaded.stack: First off, I have none of these mods. My game has never crashed on start-up so they were never requirements for my other mods and I have just re-installed Skyrim less than a week ago and cut down on 100 mods but I see these errors. This error comes from my papyrus log AFTER walking in front of Riften and CTDing. I always test each and every mod I install by running with modified speed across the world and timing myself and I recently managed to run around at a decent speed for 20 minutes in the exterior with no CTD YET, if I walk in front of Riften I crash and end up with errors like the above. Why?

  9. Can anyone explain what this could range from? Here are my active mods on the new save game. Skyrim.esm Update.esm Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp Dawnguard.esm Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp Dragonborn.esm Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp Is it possible that Alternate Start is seriously jacking up my KB that high? I only used it to save instantly instead of seeing the whole Helgen scene first so I really didn't even get to the statue yet but...10k KB with just these mods lol. With all of my mods active in the first 10 minutes of gameplay my game caps off at about 17-18k KB and steadily increases/decreases from there.
  10. Okay so as the title says I have crashes in my exterior cells and what not... WHAT I HAVE TRIED ALREADY: 1. I've used BOSS to sort my order and have read the log up and down many times. 2. I've cleaned any dirty edits advised by BOSS with TES5Edit. 3. I've been de-activating any mods that stress the game, (scripts / adding a lot of npcs) these mods are the ones I've left alone after going through about 20 others that are not activated at the moment. Any tips on mods I can get rid of that may be the cause or...maybe it's something else? I've improved the ctd issue after I removed Rebirth Monster.esp (Monster mod) from a Bashed Patch I patched it into myself...I don't know what that was about really, I added bash tags to it that were suggested and what not but after separating it again the crashes are lessened, but still consistent.
  11. I honestly don't know which of those mods would cause such a problem but I have a suggestion that may or may not help you... If you have the patience you could de-activate every single mod you have and then get a new / clean save (no mods at all) character to a point where you can do whatever (Alternate Start - Live Your Life or wait through the Helgen scene blah blah). Then you can activate like 10-15 mods at a time or whatever fits your choice and keep using "coc BleakFallsBarrowExterior" for a test run since there are usually bandits outside of Bleak, for my save anyway. Not sure if you tried this already just hoping it gives you an idea of a possible solution until someone with a solid answer arrives.
  12. Yep, I officially have no idea what to do about this issue, I'll try re-installing but nothing else I could think of has worked. (Except the driver idea, because I still dunno how to update that.)
  13. As for mod it is xeo++.esp. As for Npcs, Vanilla, Rusia Bradius and Ardaline. My Graphics Device is a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT if that's what you meant.
  14. When I have a certain mod activated (that changes/enhances the appearance of a range of vanilla npcs) I have two currently known npcs with rainbow graphic issues. One is full body, save for the face and the other is just the hands. I have deduced that this issue only exists under the condition of the mod being activated. Adding to this issue I hear a ticking sound every now and then, and dialogue has a small seam of these rainbow colors too as if my system can't handle it. My question is... Could my graphic card (lack of updated drivers) be the reason for this? NOTE: I have used this mod before...but I wanted to reformat so I saved my mods and files and copied them over on my reformatted pc AFTER re-installing Oblivion. Upon starting I've had this issue. Here's a few things you should know about what I know about this already... 1. I've checked the textures and meshes of the mod that this happens on and it is a no go. I've reinstalled the whole BSA and I've used a fresh variation of the mod's esp, I have checked other races of the same race as the two victims and the others are fine. (So it's not race file related). 2. The ticking sound and seam in the DIALOGUE makes me believe it is my graphics card. 3. I have no idea how to further update my video drivers.
  15. Ever since I REFORMATTED (and reinstalled) my Oblivion I have had TWO people in my save game with discolored parts on their body. When I reinstalled, in the end I overwrote my new Oblivion with my old files like I do when I reformat, so it was a save game I was just playing before the reformat and those particular two npcs did NOT have a discoloring problem. But now they do, and I have not added mods, I have de-activated and re-activated all of my mods to try to find a mod problem. When I de-activate XEO(one of my beautification mods) and the npcs are in their vanilla form they have no discoloration, only when they are modded. What could it be? I've tried a NEW clean game started from the beginning, I've tried a fresh installation of the Xeo++.esp and so on. What else could I try please? Also I tried attaching the photo files but they're too large, is there another way I can show off my pictures? I'm not that good at utilizing a forum.
