  1. Hi guys, So it is Cyber Monday and there are some pretty decent deals on gaming computers and I have the funds to get one. I just would like some advice before I dish out a large sum of money. However, I would like some advice as soon as possible because most of the desktops have a limited quantity. Anyway, which would have these would you recommend (if any) and why? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - HP Pavilion Power 580-023w Gaming Tower, Intel Core i5-7400, NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB Graphics, 8 GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, Windows 10 Specs: Intel Core i5-7400NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB Graphics8 GB Memory1TB Hard DriveWindows 10 iBUYPOWER WA400R3 Gaming Desktop PC with AMD Ryzen 3 1200, NVIDIA GT 710 1GB Graphics Card, 1TB Hard Drive, 8GB Memory, and Windows 10 Home. Either is better than my current setup. Right now I am have Core I5, but with a crappy graphics card and my tower isn't big enough to handle any upgrades.
  2. Progress has slowed a bit - Just had a baby girl (she is 3 days old today). A few textures have been changed and more variety of flora, but that is about it. Will resume working on this soon.
  3. Stupid image limit. Last few for now.. Added new grasses and land textures. Most of these are from the volcanic region.. http://i.imgur.com/jGbbqxn.png http://i.imgur.com/oJ2XXu4.png http://i.imgur.com/mjHm3Kx.png http://i.imgur.com/vaeGLFr.png http://i.imgur.com/U3b33ct.png http://i.imgur.com/0Q01gZW.png

  6. I just wanted a more summer-y Skyrim and there isn't a mod I like that changes the environment into just that. So begins my journey... I am not a pro at this and am still learning, but I will be posting my progress in here and welcome constructive criticism and support. And when I am ready I will be looking for anyone who may want to test this out and find bugs (floating trees, bad textures, ect) for me. I am using resources and textures found in Modders Resources and Tutorials. Progress so far (the bottom images are the most recent): [hide] http://i.imgur.com/WfxzKRw.png http://i.imgur.com/CE32NGl.png http://i.imgur.com/WfhF86V.png http://i.imgur.com/MG5Nvzs.png http://i.imgur.com/WbTD3wr.png http://i.imgur.com/ofU1VSH.png http://i.imgur.com/J7vT1u8.png http://i.imgur.com/wCygat1.png http://i.imgur.com/xyiNiCM.png http://i.imgur.com/nGyojlN.png [/hide] Textures may still change. New grasses may be added and others may be removed until I find what flows the best together. I am open to suggestions and ideas. Want to see a specific tree, plant or flower in this mod? Take a look at the choices here: https://imgur.com/wCOENwY and https://imgur.com/n8sguTI. Courtesy to http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71576/? Also, please ignore my terrible LOD. I am not sure how to change what appears that far off. It still shows snowy mountains, icebergs, and snow from a distance, but once I get closer it changes to the new textures. Anyone know how to fix this?
  7. Yeah, it is pretty annoying and an eyesore!
  8. I dont really know when this started, but the trees look strange from a distance. When I get closer they appear as normal trees. How can I fix this? Never experienced it before. http://i.imgur.com/KQMQZGf.png
  9. I'm having a weird problem that I have never experienced before. After hours of gameplay on a new game I cannot enter Ustengrav Depths. Every time I go through the door the game crashes to desktop. It's frustrating and I cannot continue with the main quest. I even tried using the console command to complete this part, but then Delphine won't talk to me and I still cannot continue. It's the first time I have ever encountered this problem. This is my current load order and it has been sorted with Loot. I've noticed others have experienced this issue, but I have yet to see a way to fix it. I've tried disabling all mods, I've restarted my PC, turned off background processes, but nothing has worked. This is the only time I have experienced CTD so repeatedly in a specific area. 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp 3 3 Dawnguard.esm 4 4 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp 5 5 HearthFires.esm 6 6 Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp 7 7 Dragonborn.esm 8 8 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp 9 9 notice board.esp 10 a RSkyrimChildren.esm 11 b hdtHighHeel.esm 12 c priestwarriorfullsetarmor.esp 13 d SkyMaidens Part 2.esp 14 e SkyUI.esp 15 f RaceMenu.esp 16 10 RaceMenuPlugin.esp 17 11 RaceMenuOverlays.esp 18 12 AchieveThat.esp 19 13 HearthfireMultiKid.esp 20 14 HearthfireMultiKid_LastName.esp 21 15 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp 22 16 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp 23 17 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Interiors.esp 24 18 Purity.esp 25 19 True Scholar.esp 26 1a ethereal_elven_overhaul.esp 27 1b PathOfSorcery.esp 28 1c MorePP.esp 29 1d RSChildren - Complete.esp 30 1e RSChildren_PatchUSKP.esp 31 1f CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp 32 20 AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp 33 21 Differently Ebony.esp 34 22 aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp 35 23 Book Covers Skyrim.esp 36 24 SGEyebrows.esp 37 25 ElvenChainMail.esp 38 26 KS Hairdo's.esp 39 27 WhiterunHoldForest.esp 40 28 Lakeview_Extended.esp 41 29 HarvestOverhaul.esp 42 2a Radiant and Unique Potions Poisons and BOOZE.esp 43 2b Eyes of Aber.esp 44 2c BarenziahQuestMarkers_Droppable.esp 45 2d UFO - Dragonborn AddOn.esp 46 2e UFO - Dawnguard AddOn.esp 47 2f ExpandedJewelryCrafting.esp 48 30 LindsVaerminaHood.esp 49 31 Convenient Horses.esp 50 32 Convenient Horses - Unique Frost.esp 51 33 ogDiverseDragons2.esp 52 34 Beasts of Tamriel.esp 53 35 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Exteriors.esp 54 36 SoS - The Wilds.esp 55 37 ChaosDragons.esp 56 38 Birdsofskyrim.esp 57 39 JK's Falkreath.esp 58 3a JKs Windhelm.esp 59 3b JK's Rorikstead.esp 60 3c JKs Solitude.esp 61 3d JK's Dawnstar.esp 62 3e JK's Winterhold.esp 63 3f BellyachesNewDragonSpecies.esp 64 40 JKs Riften.esp 65 41 Run For Your Lives.esp 66 42 UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp 67 43 LC_immersiveLoot.esp 68 44 JKs Whiterun.esp 69 45 JKs Dragon Bridge.esp 70 46 JK's Morthal.esp 71 47 SMIM-Merged-All.esp 72 48 Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.esp 73 49 Immersive Secret Doors.esp 74 4a SkyMaidens Part 1.esp 75 4b HarvestOverhaulCreatures.esp 76 4c huntingprofit.esp 77 4d JK Crafting Breakdown.esp 78 4e HorsesGoneWild.esp 79 4f JKs Markarth.esp 80 50 JK's Ivarstead.esp 81 51 Immersive Stables 2.0.esp 82 52 UFO - Heartfire AddOn.esp 83 53 Animallica.esp 84 54 JKs Whiterun exterior.esp 85 55 The Paarthurnax Dilemma.esp 86 56 IttybittyCozyCabin.esp 87 57 Skyrim Alchemy and Food Additions.esp 88 58 WhiterunHoldForest_JKsRoriksteadPatch.esp 89 59 Raven Witch Armor.esp 90 5a Convenient Horse Herding.esp 91 5b TheEyesOfBeauty.esp 92 5c more plants all extra.esp 93 5d TTLeatherMashup.esp 94 5e TW3_femaleArmors_zzjay.esp 95 5f DemonHunterArmor.esp 96 60 Celes Nightingale Armor.esp 97 61 CrimsonTwilightArmor.esp 98 62 Merta Assassin Armor.esp 99 63 ScarletDawnArmor.esp100 64 Ursine Armor Pack.esp101 65 Tembtra Thief Armor.esp102 66 Sotteta Necromancer Outfit.esp103 67 DreamBurrowsRegalHuntsmanArmor.esp104 68 Lakeview Lost Gardens.esp105 69 Males of Skyrim.esp106 6a Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp107 6b Alternate Start -- New Beginnings.esp Any suggestions?
  10. I will be sure to look into that. I may have had it before, I recently reset my laptop back to factory settings to start fresh and couldn't remember many of the mods I used previously that helped boost the game.
  11. Another question guys.. After some research comparing Intel Core i5 vs Intel Core i7, wondering if the higher price for i7 was worth it or not. Some would say that it isn't really worth it. That it is a bit faster, but in the end you only gain 2-3 fps. I understand that Core i5 is enough to run games just fine and all, just wanting to see the whole picture. What's your thoughts?
  12. Thanks for the replies. So, there are different opinions like I figured there would be, but you guys have helped out a lot. I shall do my research and continue my search for something that will hopefully fit my budget. Thanks for all the tips and if there is anything else you can think of, I'd love to hear it. XD Edit: I do not need a massively decked out computer system or anything. I just want something that can run Skyrim or Fallout on Ultra settings without any problem and also run mods (texture mods, ect. And I don't necessarily need the best of the best with the texture mods.. I just want my game to look good.) And I also don't really need an enb. That would be a plus, I suppose, but I play fine without one now and it's fine. As stated somewhere above, I am currently using a "gaming" laptop. I can run Skyrim on high settings without much lag, but as soon as I get too many fancy mods, I start getting lots of fps drops and revert to medium settings. I do not want to have to do that and I don't use that many mods. Not nearly as many as some people. If it makes it any easier I could simply list the types of mods I like and want to be able to use that I am currently cannot use and see what type of system I would need. Like I said, I really do not need an over the top, badass computer system.
  13. Would something like with work better? It's Windows 7, older model Dell desktop 4th Generation Intel Quad-Core i5-4460 Processor (3.2GHz, 6M Cache, up to 3.4 GHz) 12GB DDR3 RAM / 1TB 7200RPM HDD Intel HD Graphics 4600 Sorry, I am such a noob at computer specs.. >_< I haven't been gaming on PCs for that long really. Mostly used gaming consoles. I am currently using a HP Laptop with AMD A8 quad core processor... Only 4gb ram though I believe, but it was cheap. Alot cheaper than that I have been looking into.
  14. After doing some research, I realized that. As to your suggestion, adding my own graphics card and whatnot isn't something I would have the time to learn to do. And most computer places around here charge an arm and a leg to do any type of work on computer. I did find that Intel is much better and I will go from there. I am hoping to now find a computer with at least 12gb ram with an processor.
  15. So, I've had my eye on a computer I've been wanting. It's a little pricey and I wanted to get some opinions on the system before buying it. I mostly want to know if it will make a good gaming computer and if it would allow to to run the highest graphics and whatnot. (Specifically for Skyrim and Fallout) I know little about this sort of thing. *sweat* Anyway, here are the specs: Processor: AMD Vishera FX-8320 Octa-core Hard Drive: 2TB System Ram: 16GB (Would prefer 32GB, but that's a bit more expensive) FX-8320 8-core CPU & AMD R7 250 graphics 3.50GHz (up to 4.0GHz via Turbo boost), 8MB L3 Cache 16GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory AMD Radeon R7 250 Graphics With 2GB dedicated video memory Worth it or not?
  16. I'm working on a mod that changes female NPCs and after using nifmerge with chargen file I get a pretty bad neck gap. I made sure to keep note of the weight and made the pc have the same weight as the chargen file was created with. Example: I set Astrid's body weight to 40 and set my character weight to 40 when creating the face I used for her, but the neck gap is still there. Then in game (on a NEW save) I tried to use the console to setnpcweight, but no luck. Is there a way to fix this? It's pretty aggravating..
  17. Alright, so there is clearly something I'm not doing right. I made a home that I am satisfied with, set it as a NoReset Zone, set it as a player owned faction, added Navmesh, a bed that a child can use, a dresser a child can use, and still am unable to get this spell to work with it. No matter what I try it always says, "This is not one of your homes.." So, what else do I do to make the game register that this home is in fact a player owned home? Thanks. Edit: Found the solution after browsing through many pages on google. @_@ Posted by TMPhoenix.
  18. Okay, say I want to build my own computer... Could anyone with the experience give me an estimate on how much it would cost to build a high-end gaming computer? I kow that prices vary widely depending on what is used, just hoping for a rough estimate,
  19. I have absolutely no idea how to go about building my own computer. And the reason why I just wanted to get something cheap for now was because my husband wanted the computer after I got a new one. So the cheapy one wouldn't be a waste of money in the end. >_< And I figured some of those would be crap, wasn't sure if all would be, however. Thanks for the replies. Still trying to find something within my current budget that would work. As I said, I'm not looking for a ultra expensive high-end computer at the moment. Edit: Would something similar to this be better then? AMD FX-4300 Quad-Core Processor 3.80GHz, 4MB L2 Cache8GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 16GB) The Black Desktop PC with 8GB Memory gives you the power to handle most power-hungry applications and tons of multimedia work500GB SATA hard drive Store 333,000 photos, 142,000 songs or 263 hours of HD video and more24x SuperMulti DVD Burner Watch movies, and read and write CDs and DVDs in multiple formats on the Black Desktop PC with 8GB Memory10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet Connect to a broadband modem or wired broadband router with wired EthernetAMD R5 230 Graphics With up to 1GB dedicated graphics memory
  20. Before anyone points fingers, yes I did read the "Official Recognized Specifications & Unofficial Video Chipsets Spe" thread. It was somewhat helpful, but I'd like a bit more help. My current system has gone..well it has pretty much died on me. Been having problems with it for awhile now. It was a decent system. Not the best, but I was able to play Skyrim on medium-high settings with some ultra HD graphic mods. As I said, not the best and most amazing gaming laptop ever. So, I gotta get a new computer now. Been having Skyrim withdrawls.. Ahem. My budget is currently not the greatest, so until I can get money from taxes (which won't be until Feb or March even) I've got to settle with just getting a decent computer that will be able to run Skyrim with a few mods ad maybe decent settings. Anyway, I've been browsing desktop computers and have come across a few that are a possibility. I would just like a bit of help with whether or not these computers could handle Skyrim and if they would allow me to play on medium-high settings with mods installed without horrible lag and a bad frame rate. Help is appreciated. :) First One: (And yes, I am iffy on the "refurbished" thing, but it's cheaper and can easily be returned as well..
