  1. Slow, difficult to read, hard on the eyes -- really awful in just about every way. And really, how much space do you need to request readers to download malware accept advertisements?
  2. Had the same problem with FPS dropping horribly in Dragonsreach after a minute or so -- from 59 (which is what I have it capped at) to 18 or lower. Uninstalling RS Children solved the problem. I never had a problem with RS Children until recently but I guess it's back to potato head children for now ... EDIT: Installing the XPMSE Skeleton for RSChildren solved the problem -- lets you use RS Children without the fps drop.
  3. Would love to see some enterprising person with a knowledge of audio files come up with a mod to remove or reduce or replace guards' Dawnguard spam ("Heard they're reforming the Dawnguard" etc. etc. etc.). I find myself traveling all the way to the Reach and joining the Dawnguard just to get the guards to shut up about it. Surely I'm not the only person who finds the constant spam annoying?
  4. You might try Gekkou1992's Female Running and Walking Animation: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50078/?
  5. Having this problem also -- I haven't changed my load order recently -- and am also wondering if USKP is the cause.
  6. Two sets I use are: Angelic Halos and Demonic Horns -- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11005/? Astaroth Horns Redone - Demon Horns -- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49847/? I should say also that I'm not criticizing these mods -- I use both -- but it would be really nice to have horns that are smaller because sometimes they don't work well with a particular character or hairstyle. Smaller horns would be great; variations in the curves and where they're placed on the head would be a wonderful bonus. Textures don't matter -- I think I could do that myself. For the ESO horns -- I tried to find the pics I saw but couldn't, sorry -- they were like the spriggan horns in Skyrim.
  7. I would love it if someone would come up with a set of horns I could use. There are a few sets out there already but they're all a lot larger than I would prefer. Maybe something like the angelic/demonic set but half or even a third the size. Horns I've seen in ESO pics look pretty amazing too. I don't know a lot about 3d modeling but horn shapes seem pretty simple so maybe it wouldn't be too hard to do?
  8. I would love to have a mod like this also -- a kiss animation followed by either death or a severe reduction in health, preferably with a calm spell applied first.
  9. If you are using or have created a new world space mod, it could be the floating grass bug. See http://www.creationkit.com/Floating_Grass_Fix
  10. Are you using one of the alternate start mods by any chance? That happened to me when I was using one of them (can't remember off-hand which one it was).
  11. Wolfskull Cave -- because every time I play it, it plays out differently -- some of my characters take a ranger approach and take everyone out from a distance with their bows, others take a melee approach and rush through with close combat -- even the small details and encounters play out differently -- the layout offers a wide variety of ways it can be played and it's a unique experience every time.
  12. I recently switched to using Climates of Tamriel + Realistic Lighting Overhaul and liked everything except the desaturated color. Using Imaginator helped but I still wasn't satisfied with the results. I came up with two solutions: 1 -- Using the Ultra Realistic World Lighting mod which gave me nice, very saturated colors -- but in the end, I went with the second solution: 2 -- Using COT + RLO + the RealVision ENB. It let me keep COT's weather but the addition of the ENB gave me lots of saturated color -- I even had to tone it down a little bit. I've resisted using an ENB because I didn't want to have any performance issues -- I like to keep my frame rate high -- but so far I haven't noticed any problems. Granted, I'm using a high-end graphics card but you might try it and see how well it works with your card. I also resisted using an ENB because I didn't want to go through the seemingly-complicated installation process (it was the first time I installed and used an ENB) but following the instructions on the RealVision page, it was very easy. I'm using the Novo Performance version of RealVision and it looks great. Anyway, just my two cents (or septims) ...
  13. I recently went from CBBE to UNP and had the same problem. I'd been using FurArmor's "Decent Women" mod to improve NPC faces but it didn't work very well with UNP until I installed tktk"s "Pretty Face". The result might be NPCs that are too young-looking and pretty for your taste -- it's a matter of personal aesthetics -- but that's what worked for me.
  14. Neuroliquisity's "Craftable and Placeable Havok-enabled Bedrolls" always comes in handy.
  15. Rhowington -- For what it's worth, here's the background of my character and some details. Kind of long so I posted it on Tumblr: http://www.tumblr.com/blog/cahierslunatiques
  16. I just made an island (called Kuura) with a home for my snow elf character. She travels to it with a rowboat that's sitting on the shore of the Sea of Ghosts -- there's a trail that leads down to it from Journeyman's Nook (east of Winterhold). There's a rowboat next to a pier on the island that takes her back to the mainland (both use autoload to transition back and forth). On the island (which is pretty small and contains the ruins of a temple for Auriel) there's a trapdoor that leads down to an ice cave -- there's an entry chamber and a large chamber where she has her living quarters; another chamber has a wayshrine which, even though buried in rubble and ruined, is still functional and takes her to a spot just east of Bronze Water Cave (west of Windhelm on Lake Yorgrim) -- a rowboat there magically transports her back to the island. On one side of the island there are the remains of a shrine to Trinimac with another ruined wayshrine -- but I haven't decided if I want to make it operational or where it would take her if it were (too much teleporting about feels like cheating to me). The Lake Yorgrim location is remote but she can make the trip to Windhelm fairly quickly and, going cross-country, Whiterun and Dawnstar aren't terribly far away. Sorry for the long explanation but maybe it will give you some ideas -- I'd upload it but I haven't navmeshed it so followers can use it.
  17. She was out on a mission. My theory is that Sofie, the flower girl in Windhelm, is actually Babette in disguise, waiting by the gate for Nils the wood chopper to pass by so she can carry out a contract on him :)
  18. Notveidt -- Whether it's a glitch or intentional programming, no, they can't be stored in chests etc. the way you would with other items. Saizetsu -- I knew about selling the one to the Orc librarian at Winterhold but I guess I was trying to save myself the trip :) and I thought I read that you could only sell to the moth priest if you played on the Dawnguard side but I may be wrong -- I'll try it and see what happens.
  19. I've reached the end of the Dawnguard questline, playing as a vampire -- Lord Harkon is dead, Valerica has returned to the castle, and the Dawnguard leaders have been exterminated -- but my character still has to lug around three very heavy Elder Scrolls! If I use the player.drop command to remove them from her inventory, am I going to screw anything up for later in the game -- either botched quests or CTDs?
  20. Thanks -- that helps a lot! I found out that my power supply is 400w so I need to do some thinking about what to do about that ...
  21. I could use some help from those more knowledgeable about hardware than me! I have an ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard which has HD 4000 graphics built in. My Skyrim graphics look ok most of the time but since this card isn't supported by Bethesda, the graphics aren't as spectacular as I'd like them to be, so I'd like to install an EVGA GeForce GTX 680+ 4GB card. I'd use only the GeForce 680 card and would disable the HD 4000 (I can do that by just disabling the driver, right?). As far as I can tell from the research I've done, there shouldn't be any compatability problems but then again, when it comes to hardware, I'm living proof that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I think my power supply is good enough but at the moment, that's just a guess -- I'm not sure what I have but am checking. I have a free PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slot and I think the new card would be able to go into that? Any comments, suggestions, red flags from you hardware gurus would be very much appreciated!
  22. Hi everyone -- in the Wolf Queen Awakened quest, I get a CTD when the final battle is over and (I think) Potema is about to speak again. Going back to earlier saves doesn't help. Any suggestions? Could a graphics overload be causing this? There's an awful lot of light effects and graphic stuff going on at that moment. I can't think of any mods I'm using that would interfere with this particular quest. TIA for any help offered.
