Steam and Bethesda remove paid modding from Skyrim Workshop
jimbo99991 replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
I think in future games there will be a paywall in Steam for both Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls 6. If you know in Advance it is there when you buy the game at least you know what you are getting. As for Nexus I hope the mods remain free. Most of my mods are from here, I only have 50 or so. And many of the are the unofficial updates. -
THANK YOU TO ALL MODDERS FOR WHAT YOU DO!

I have many mods from Nexus that is why I paid to become a premium member. Thank you all for amazing a Senior with what you can do. You have all amazed me. -
Thank you so much King it will help me to recover some of the mods that are no longer on Nexus. Some were just not on 7zip files so I guess I will have to download them again. After 5200 hours in Skyrim I wanted to get a computer that could run Hi-Res and Ultra for this playthrough. Each game I find so many different things. As a Senior who just picked this hobby I love Skyrim.

Good Point I was wondering if you download a windows 7 zip file for some of the mods that are gone from Nexus could the Mod Manager unpack them. Number 2 is there any way I can transfer the mod manager to the New Computer I am getting tomorrow or will I have to load everything from scratch. This is a replacement computer I am getting, I downloaded the mods again on the first one but the hard drive gave out so am I back to doing the same thing for the third time. My question is the 7zip files on this computer could be transferred into the new Mod Manager on the new computer.

I am getting a new computer loaded. The first one they sent was a dud after I downloaded all the files available from Nexus again. This will be my third time downloading is there any suggestions to shortcut this. Some of the mods I want are not Nexus anymore will I to download the manually or if they are 7-Zip will just downloading the manually from another site load them into the manager. I do not think it will and I know the data file to go to but it is so much easier with the manager. I will have this one on until tonight if anyone can answer.

At one time it required the SPIKE .esm when I downloaded it when I got my new computer it did not need it anymore. And it worked fine until the computer broke down. So try a new download I will be getting it again once my replacement pc arrives. Good luck to you I love that mod also. Sorry old heyiforgot did not see your post before I made mine.

It looks like I will be reinstalling Nexus and the NMM when the replacement computer comes. There should be an easier way. I also hate that some of my favorite Nexus like the Blonde Aela are gone. Not to mention many combat mods.

I have the Nexus Mod Manager. I recently bought a new Alienware computer and the hard drive was bad. I am getting a replacement so is there any way to copy the mods over to the new computer. I have been on Nexus quite a while and do not relish when the replacement downloading NMM again and downloading the files. I am a Senior and I will admit I started gaming at 59 so I could really use some help. I am 62 now and still a knob.
