  1. ...well here I am reading this thread a year later and I still can't launch FO4 from NMM. I tried...download the steam64.dll and paste near launcher..., it can't find the SteamUser...then it couldn't find the libSce.dll file. I had a hard time initially running the game through steam but figured out to stay off-line from Steam...4ever :p else my pc gets stuck updating what I don't want...omg! Load"*",8,1 (commodore 64 games load script) was sooo much easier. I guess it's back to manually installing mods and hoping for "no purple people" or game crashes! If only their were some gigantic algorithm. It would be really big! I hope your issues were resolved Pyroy <Stranger>!
  2. I'm getting 'save game lengthy reloads'. When starting up from a saved game upon initial loading of Fallout 3 (FO3), I get no lag in loading. It's when I go to reload thereafter is when it takes a long amount of time to load a saved game. It is faster for me to open the console [~] and type "qqq" to quit the game then restart by clicking the FO3 icon on my desktop. It was working fine a while ago? I have mods installed, my PC has 8g Ram but uses 4 per the games abilities. I thought maybe it was not recognizing saved games with personal titles (i.e. [~] "save this" instead of the default " 528 Capital Wasteland"?
  3. Omg! I have found the error and am very embarrassed to point it out but hopefully it will prevent anyone else from bumbling like me. I kept opening up my [Fallout3.exe] icon with CFF which is a CAT File and not the [Fallout3] Application file. The confusion was the .exe. My eyes and brain don't communicate very well with one another! Many great thanks to Kitty, M48A5 and Gopher's Vids. FalloutIII2013
  4. When I bring up the C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe and go through the steps to install, I get the following message: The Fallout3.exe has not been copied to this folder. Press ay key to exit. Is this because the above says system32 when I have a 64bit OS installed? I've tried the other way downloading CFF explorer and opening the Fallout3.exe CAT File but it doesn't give me all the subfolders like in the Gopher Vid. I installed the CFF in my Games folder and not my Program File or Program File x86 folders.
  5. I have tried both options on trying to get FO3 to use more than 1GB of RAM via the Gopher Vid and downloading the Large Address Enabler mod. My Game is not installed in my Program Folder, but instead in a created Game Folder. I have Win 7 Prof. 64bit. Do I need to deactivate my Anit-Virus or something? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall my 8GB of RAM from the MoBo? Any help would be much appreciated.
  6. I had CTD with my game after I upgraded my PC. The fix was making FO3 recognize I had more than a single core on my new PC. If that's not the case with you, try loading and playing the game one mod at a time until you find the one CTDing your game. My problem is having FO3 recognize more than 1GB of RAM. I've tried the 3GB mod fix to no avail! Hope you have better luck than me!
  7. I was able to Download (Manual) FO3 mods earlier and now it gives me a white blank page with a url of http://filedelivery.nexusmods.com/120/73278/(blah...blah...mod). Maybe its the servers? I tried downloading from FONV and got the same error. Also tried to download from Skyrim which I haven't played...same error. I went to the chat to see if anybody complained...crickets...then to the forums and read about the legacy NMM (from Dark0ne)...Win XP...Google Chrome...yada...yada. I tried to download using Internet Explorer...fail. I downloaded the newest version of NMM Legacy. Still can't Download (Manual). I tried refresh, log-out log-in to NMM and nothing. My OS is WIN XP and I use Google Chrome. My next step is to find a just Super Mutant to kick in the jewels and come back later to my new PC with Win 7 64bit and try downloading from there. Any help would be much appreciated! P.S. Forgive me if I've done anything wrong and did not follow proper protocol or procedures with this topic or any further traffic that follows.
  8. Why is it I have to babysit my PC when downloading a file that takes longer than maybe 5-10 min (depending on server traffic). I thought maybe it was my power/sleep setting on my monitor but all those were turned off. Do I have a key logger virus? I've tried switching mice/track ball devices. I can't see how it would be my keyboard? I've noticed that as long as I'm flipping between webpages, typing data or whatever, the mods will continue to download. If I stay on a program, lets say for example a word document I am typing while the mod is downloading in the background...err...download times out. Even if I just left the Nexus Mod webpage on my screen with no activity...err...download times out. This is very annoying especially downloading bigger files which take a while to download having to start all over again. Man I hope my download didn't time out while typing out this message. Yeah I type slow like a pecking chicken:) Thanks for any help I get!
  9. How do you know when a file is restored from hidden when all the normal [Download NMM][Download Manual][*****Track*****][Endorse][Desc][Files][images][Posts][Forums][Tags][Videos][Actions][Readme] Tabs are also Hidden? See example below: File hiddenThis file has currently been set to hidden by the author of the file. You cannot look at this file page or download any files relating to this file until the author makes the file visible to the public again. The reason given by the author is: I've hidden this mod because I've discovered it has missing texture paths. I'm not able to work on Fallout 3 mods at this time so I've set it to hidden untill such a time as I can. If someone wishes to work on it let me know. © Copyright 2013, Robin Scott. I would feel terrible if every question is directed to Robing Scott. Is their a link I've overseen?
  10. Awesome! Hopefully I can get a good deal. What did you pay for all that or if not no problem for I will price the list above. Thanks!
  11. I will be purchasing a new computer this year's Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I would like to know what build (or upgrade on my current tower) in order to play Fallout 3. I don't need a high end monster rig but I do want to maximize my Fallout 3/New Vegas experience. Someone told me to match the PS4/XBOX one specifications? I currently have the following system: ATX midtower Abit AX8 Guru 939socket mobo (Max 4Gig Ram) AMD Athlon 64FX 3500+ 2.2GHZ Chip and OEM fan 1.5Gig DDR2 RAM 2700 (two) and 3200 (one) ATI Radeon Nvidia GeForce 6800 @ 256mb Optical Drives x2 CD & DVD/RW 450watt power supply OS WIN XP SVC PK 3 and Hard drive 500Gig old boxy VX900 Gateway color monitor that just won't die! :) peripherals etc... I would like to keep my tower if it saves me $$$ and possibly spend that on my Graphics card. A 32 Gig ram mobo too much? Don't care for blue ray but maybe get an external optical rather than internal for less power consumption. I like HDMI Hi-Res but not until my monitor dies. Too much crap to store:) Don't know if multi monitors, projector or 1 big flat TV is better. Maybe RAID...5or10 on SSD's but I can still use my current HD. Quieter or loud depending on what loud is? I can here my games/voices in my head :p just fine with what I have now and to me the sound of the tower humming is more like white noise anyway. I think my mobo&CPU will probably not work with 4 ram max? -I heard that a 4 core chip is more than enough for gaming -SSDs are quieter and use less energy but expensive (min 512gig recommended for Win 7 OS?) -I don't know if I need to Over Clock (over 4 GHZ)? -more fans, radiator, cooling liquids??? Heck wrap the tower in a towel and put it in my Coleman cooler with ice and beer...just kidding. -crossfire, hyperthreading...ugh! -definitely USB 3.0 with my 2.0 externals until those crap out
  12. Awesome! With some manipulation in the data files and some load order adjustments following FOIP site instructions...check in BOSS & FO3Edit...restart of NMM...CRASH...wait must recheck MMM.esm since it was somehow unchecked in my plugins menu...close all programs except NMM...restart NMM to verify check...click start game with FOSE and...wait for it...wait for it...YES it works! Now I can go to the next mod setups I believe HUD and DarnUI. Fingers crossed...don't crash...don't crash...purr...purr... Thanks Kitty:)
  13. I am following the Gopher tutorials religiously. I had an issue installing the FWE update. Somehow I was able to get it finally to install in NMM using BOSS and/or FO3edit. I changed an .esp to an .esm. These are the instructions I followed: 1) Download and run FO3Edit ( I put it in my top FO3 dir ). Wait for it to load... 2) Expand Alternate Travel in left tree view 3) Select File Header 4) Right-click "Record Flags"; choose "Edit" 5) Tick "ESM" 6) Accept warnings 7) Retry install of hotfix Don't know if that was the fix however now I am at square one again trying to install the MMM update on NMM. I keep getting the error: A problem occurred during install: BOSS_API_ERROR_INVALID_ARGS: Master files must load before other plugins. The mod was not installed. This is modness!
  14. The [cache] and [downloads] folders I am relating to are located in C:\games\Nexus Mod Manager\Fallout3\Mods\. I don't know if different OS have different file setup locations though.
