    I downloaded the majority of the mods in this compilation about 2 weeks back and it is a mixed bag. Performance is hurt in random intervals and some of the mods do not seem to do anything and/or are not compatible with latest Fallout version.

    The work Haoswidasee put into it is great but the list is in a sore need of being updated with no longer up to date or under performing mods removed.

    I see where he has mentioned an updated list is in the works but no concrete date or even updates since July.

    Curious as to which mods you found incompatible with the latest game version and or ones that didn't seem to do anything.

     

    I would imagine some of the keyword mods may be incompatible by now. Textures should all work the same. I am removing the marijuana growing mods because they are pretty big and complicated, might want to leave that out.

    Probably all true by now lol. I am actually getting laid off friday and I have a mastering session on saturday to finish a song I have been waiting to finish before updating this list. It won't be long and im getting excited to see the new mods out there.

    This might not be the right place to ask but im encountering a game-breaking bug with this list and I cannot seem to find the mod responsible for it.

     

    The bug is that when going to the first suit of power armor, I have to hit R and transfer my fusion core into the power armor. The animation does not play, and my character is sorta like sucked into the power armor. I think have all the damage reduction and so on from the armor but I have NO HUD and I CANT access my inventory at all. When I press tab a few options appear at the bottom (stimpack, radaway, cycle damage, perk chart, etc.) but I cant access my map, weapons, clothing, quests, stats, etc.

     

    I also can't exit the power armor, ever. When I run out of minigun ammo all i can ever do is melee with it.

     

    Does anyone know what mod or problem might be causing this? For the most part I only have the mods in the list installed, and the additional ones I've installed have absolutely nothing to do with power armor whatsoever...

     

    It's really, really frustrating the hell out of me.

     

    When looking in third person the armor pieces are incorrectly placed, with the shoulders floating above the head, and the player character not appearing at all

     

    Edit: I've installed the entire mod list and the game fresh twice now, taking something like 8 hours to do, so please any help would be majorly appreciated.

     

    Edit 2: No idea what mod was causing it but i did a third fresh install and now it works properly.

    Something to be aware of is that quite a few of the mods on the list have not been updated recently, while others have. So you might have weird texture or mesh issues, or even a custom animation since those are out now.

    I am sorry you are experiencing issues. The update will take a few days after I start it but its going to be a good one. I plan on doing it after I get at least 1 single on Itunes, going for my 3rd session tomorrow. Have one song almost entirely done. Won't be to much longer.

    For my first mod, I don't think I'm doing that bad.

    I can't make promises just yet because I have to put all the mods in a list, and go through and see what each one changes. It's difficult to know right now what I can and cannot put into the new list, going to be a lot of glowing mods though lol

  6. Hey @Haoswidasee, do you have a time estimate on when your major update will be?

     

    As soon as my first single is complete and on itunes. I have a recording session to hopefully finish one of my songs tomorrow afternoon. If I do good I can start that update soon. I was unemployed when I first made this list and I work full time now so its a bit more difficult than it used to be. Also I am having a really hard time pulling myself away from the game Rimworld. It's pretty amazing

  7. A suggestion for the @Haoswidasee: Consider putting the more ostentatious of the lore-breaking mods you've listed in your Optional Mods list. E.g., the cannabis mods, any of the texture mods that change the general coloration that is kind of standard in Bethesda Fallout games. It's easy enough to just filter these out as somebody is following the compilation, but from an organization standpoint it makes more sense for these to be in Optional Mods.

     

    My opinion. I look forward to seeing updates in the near future!

    Actually I am removing the big cannabis mod entirely, its a huge mod and as fun as it was at the time it doesn't really do anything for me anymore. The entire list will be changing soon, I haven't done an update for a very long time. Getting a full re-color as well. And the organization had nothing to do really with lore or optional mods or anything like that. The order is how you are supposed to install the mods so you can use Yes to All on the overwrites every time, with my best shot at the time for overwriting certain pieces of certain mods with higher quality pieces in certain areas.

  8. I have the Problem that the Mods Red Rockets' Glare and Illuminated Billboards don't work properly... Everything that should glow is only white and whased out... What is my misstake or what should i change that they work?

    I would just try uninstalling them and then reinstalling them. As far as I know all those mods do are replace textures and add a bit of light, not many things should mess with those mods.

    Sure, when I have it all installed lol. If you want a sneak peek I took all the photos for the "Glowing Items" mod. Im using legendary lamps as well as the Cinematic Excellence ENB mod. Thats basically how the entire game will look, but only install the mod that makes it night-time, all the time, if you want to never see daylight in your game. It's a whole different experience.

  10. I'm glad I'm not the only one who compiled (is still compiling) something like this, but you're a better man than I if you got everyone's permission and made it available to the nexus.

     

    btw, I'd heard a while back that decompressing the game's ba2 archives, appling the materials, meshes and texture overwrites to the merged folders directly and then re-archiving the whole thing is the best way to do an overhaul of this scale.

    I didn't go through the whole post, but did you take any screens?

    That I am not allowed to do. You have to make your compilation in a way that explains every detail from start to finish that way nobody has any issues or need to complain. The nexus does not allow for anyone to mash a ton of mods together and give it to the public in a single file. Not to mention if I needed to change a bunch of stuff, making that file would be a lot of hard work wasted.

  11. Hey, just came around again. I regularly follow this compilation since you first started it in January and I'm still using it as my basic mod "setting". I absolutly hope there will be another update at some point after Nuka-World releases.

    I will have to wait for many of the mod authors to update their material, (probably 2 weeks to a month after release). That way I know what isn't being kept up with enough for the list and what is. There have been some amazing mods since the last update of this list.

    I'a using F4SE for looksmenu, but i tried it without them and it still crashes ;/

     

    Can't be arsed to test every single mod or start anew with less mods/other mods. But I guess I have to if I want to continue.

    Just to give you feedback, I do play my game wich is modded based on this guide except for some textures pack as I play in 4K with Ugrid to load = 7 on top. Some occasional crashes mainly due to my VRAM exceeding my 6GB limit. But very rarely. I removed, installed mods along my actual game which I am at level 43 on survival mode and works like a charm.

     

    I am using NMM to install all mods except for some manually required ones.

     

    One point though I had some problems until I deleted my custom.ini file which was really messy and duplicating many stuff from the 2 other ini's. It only now contains few lines and I made it read only. Other 2 ini's are managed through the F4 launcher.

    Sometimes when you install mods, they corrupt the data even if you remove them. I used to have an eye mod where if you removed it everyone in the game was left with big eye sockets even if you installed a new eye mod. Had to completely reinstall everything

  14. I don't like extra patches either, but sometimes when a mod author is busy with other mods or big projects like the one for Nuclear Weather. I create a patch. But I also have contacted both owners and requested if I could do so. Unlike the one that did the other patch. Both you & I along with others are thankful for the hard work they put in on the elaborate ones that are out there. But I do have a couple of screenshots for Vivid Weathers throwing out a freak massive nuclear snowstorm:

     

    That is for some odd reason not uploading. They are on my NMM profile, and anything that you upload is supposed to be available. Oh, well. I'll try again another time.

    Uploading photos on the forum always screws up for me as well, idk why. Anyways, keep me posted I guess :D

    Update about the Vivid Weathers/Nuclear Weather Patch: I took a look at it in Fallout4Edit (FO4Edit), there were a little tweaks that needed to be done. While I don't know if it was working, the only weather system I saw was the massive nuclear snow storm that Vivid Weathers has. It would have CTD if it didn't work together, so that's a plus. The tweaks I performed had to deal with the the "Chances" of a storm happening. I think the person that created the patch, which from my limited understanding of his meaning, English is not his native language, it was created in FO4Edit.

     

    I took a look at the Nuclear Weather page, the mod author is busy working on a replacement for Nuclear Weather, he stated a while back that when he has time he would make a CK Vivid Weathers patch, but his main time is working on a massive ENB/Weather all in one. I'll let you know how my tweaks went, if you like I could send to my tweaks in Word form, if you are comfortable with using FO4Edit to make those tweaks.

     

    I'm now actually working on a proper patch, I don't like it too dark but would you like me to try and add your Darker Nights?

     

    I'll let you know when I'm done, and I'll upload it to the Nexus

    It's about time! lol. Been waiting on that one forever, I will add it to my list of mods I plan on trying to add. You mean add darker nights to the patch? Idk lol, I didn't make any of those mods so I don't really want to have a say in anything like that. I honestly prefer mods to not require patches lol. It makes life a lot easier.
