@Haoswidasee Thank you for this. Please bare with me, for I would like to give a little back history of my PC gaming life. Up until 3 weeks ago, I never had the money to build a moderately high end PC rig, so I never really experienced the thrill of gaming on them. I've always been a console person (I'm 45 and the first console for me was the Atari 2800), ditched my PlayStation when XBox hit the market way back when (Microsoft was saying before it hit the market that the XBox would be able to load PC games on the system). But after playing The Witcher 3 & FO4 on my XBox One, I knew only a PC could handle large "Open World" games like TW3 & FO4. So I finally had the money to build one a little over the FO4 recommended specs (TW3 recommended is less than FO4), with enough room to upgrade the CPU & GPU down the road to play anything else that catches my eye in the "Open World" type of games.

Now back to my point, Thank you again for doing this, I was confused by other members that created a "load order". I have since learned the importance of loading certain *.esm files first. The others, not so much. On that note I am asking if I may suggest something that will make it easier for first time PC mod users (and I will use the following term with affection for us virgins) aka "Dumb-asses" to follow along with your Mod list. Since the majority will (like me) use NMM, could you break it down even further on which category the mod is listed under. As in, Player Settlements, UI, Bugs & Patches.....I don't need to list them all.

Please, I am only making a suggestion. I am very happy that I stumbled onto your thread. I can't give you any higher praise than making your thread a perm bookmark on my Google Chrome, Because I see that you are constantly updating, and that is a wonderful thing. The only reason I am asking this is because I am one who wants to see what the modder that you list has anything else I want to check out, but, wouldn't know where it would be categorized, using your method. I know it might sound petty but it's an OCD thing for me. Also because some of the mods do matter in the way of load order. Your advice to DL all mods before loading is helpful to ones that already know how it works, but ones like me, OCD driven and DL a few at a time & enabled them & check the plugins to make sure there was nothing red colored, do not understand what goes first and not go together with another. Not only that but, I really doubt I will be buying any DLC, and I would like to know which of the mods on your list is DLC only mods. As well as the reason for your choice on removing the mods and putting different ones in their place for those of us that have gone by your list before April 28th (I know, it really sounds petty & a PITA. I don't mean it to sound that way, honestly).

Thank you again for your help & your list. And thank you for your time in reading this post, I have some updating to do on my NMM.

P.S. There is also a new Settlement Keywords (SKI), it does not conflict with anything & has, currently, 6 optional files that will give out new *.esm. Link to follow for your advice if this is any better:

I have been playing a lot of other games recently but I will point out a few helpful things for you. If you want to see more of what an author has, you go to the nexus and search their user name that I have listed next to one of their mods in my list. Find their nexus profile and click the "Files" tab. And it will list everything they have ever made.

The reason this list requires DLC is because most mods will eventually be updated to require DLC, and I will not be notified when this happens. Currently there are around 200 mods in this list, and there is no way to know right when they change so it's easier just to spend the little bit of cash for DLC, not to mention the DLC makes this game far better. As far as breaking it down more, the forum has a limit on how many times I can change a color pattern and also a limit on how long my actual forum can be. It was actually broken down into 3 lists at once before, The original, the neon wasteland, and hardcore survival. But when the forum is that big I literally cannot save it.

I am looking into SKI right now, thanks for the heads up.

I understand completely. I noticed that you have gone with SKI, so it must be a good thing. Is it alright to suggest other mods, or is that something you investigate on your own?

Now that the toolkit is out mods are coming out in droves lol. I get suggestions every single day, feel free to send them my way. It's easy to miss a good mod now that they get pushed back pages and pages every day.

  3. I like the idea. Never thought about it. Now that I saw this, I'm going to look into that for my buildables.

(particularly the BBQ. Should have red glow under the grill itself at least. Hmm, should be a glow from

the stove and fridge too. I mean they do have lights inside.)

And now that I think about it, my kitchen sink chemistry labs SHOULD glow. I mean really, you're mixing

chems in a bloody SINK!

Yet more to add to my todo list.

edit: oh, I'm also going to yank the bars out of my mod, I hadn't seen better stores when I dropped them in.

All sound like legit ideas. Anything involving glow or lighting or more than welcome. No matter how big or small.

  4. The best ENB I feel, by far. Is Cinematic Excellence ENB by Archalyus. I've tried many and theres just nothing on that level.

Its the ENB I promote with both the Ultimate Fallout 4 Mod Compilation and the Ultimate Fallout 4 Mod Compilation Neon Wasteland Edition. The installation directions are at the bottom of the mod description.

I would highly suggest the Natural Version. The Cinematic version is SUPER dark.

I was having this issue where i would enable all my mods. And then enable them with bethesda. And then right after that it would disable a few mods for no reason. They were better explosives, better locational damage, and faster terminals. So I just removed those mods because apparently bethesda isn't going to let me use them. And the Bethesda password system is horrible, I hate when websites do that crap.

Did you try the 3.0 version of my Faster Terminal Displays, turns out the game was probably deactivating my plugin because it didn't have Fallout4.esm as a master (master-less plugins have always worked fine in the past).

Rather than just adding the master in FO4Edit, I decided I may as well rebuild the plugins in the Creation Kit.

didn't know you did so, I will look into it tomorrow when I wake up. I honestly can't play this game anymore without a bunch of mods and faster terminals is definitely one of them. I can't stand 90% of the vanilla game.

  6. Well I am going to start your list now and begin downloading and all that yea i mean it seemed to be working fine for me the take cover mod but that was about a month ago I recently jumped back into skyrim as I was already on my 4th play through for FO4 ( House Arrest Is a MOFO) But since im still on it I guess I can begin another play through with your mod list

Good luck with all that man. Sounds rough lol

  7.

After much trial and error (ALL DAY). I have FINALLY fixed this list. It works now. My over-all thoughts are that Bethesda pretty much ruined Fallout 4 for modding. I don't like the new setup at all or having to enable all my mods twice. If this doesn't improve or I fail to eventually enjoy it, I will stop playing this game entirely. They have been making a lot of poor choices lately and the game No Man's Sky is coming out in like a month. I am VERY disappointed with Bethesda right now.

I feel pretty much the same way man.

I cannot be arsed having an account on bethesda.net that I have ZERO interest in if I can get my mods from the Nexus.

I'm sure the modding community outside of that shitty bethesda.net will sort things out...if not, then I guess it's back to Skyrim

Have you had a look at the nexus article Fallout 4 Creation Kit Beta and an Important Notice to Survival Testers ?

Apparently adding *'s in front of your plugins will enable them but yeah

  9. I am just wondering and I may have missed it but do you have any of the cover mods on here I saw fo4 hotkey what about bullet time and the auto cover one by him. I may tweak and try a play through with those when your done your next revamp

I also would like to know because im running my download to begin the fresh install now is it safe to at least run with your texture mods for now?

I do not, last time I seen that mod you were only able to use one side as cover and the other side didn't work. I believe you could peek right but not left. I try not to use incomplete mods. (No offense to the author). But feel free to install everything. I would suggest the Shader first like it says. Then test to see if the options work. That is currently working for me without issues at the moment. Then install each section and start your game after each. That way if there are issues you will know at least the section the issues are in.

  10. I Am doing a fresh install of FO$ I plan to follow this to a T I followed the Step with Skyrim and tweaked it a little and well lets just say I am highly satisfied I am currently not satisfied with my FO4 setup as i normally just look click download sort and play ... I want t to get a proper playthrough so HERE I GO

Well I would suggest waiting a couple days until I finish this major update, this new patch has my list a little wonky at the moment.

As the title says, I’m looking for Mods for Fallout 4… the main one I’m after are landscape Mods to make the rocks, land, water and such to look better. I know there are many out there, but I would want ones that realistic like based on the game, and all in one instead of single ones that are out there. If you know or have made one, please let me know.

Also if you know any other Mods that could help make the game play better, or make building settlements easier I would like to see them. I got a few but I want to get as many Mods, but can do the same thing but within one Mod like the landscape Mods to make the rocks, land, water and such to look better. I got a few apps like that, but want one that does it in one Mod. I hope you can help.

I’m also looking for Mods for Armour, clothes and such, got a few that I like and downloaded, but I’m after the best. So I hope you can help.

Here, this may save you a couple hundred hours.

    Ultimate Fallout 4 Mod Compilation

I'm using a laptop which allows me to play the game in low settings, will your Mods still work for it?

If it says 4k, just download a 2k or 1k. I am not sure how it will run but theres many mods on that list that do no mess with textures, like most of the mods in the creature/npc section, and almost all the mods below that.

    have another suggestion for you.

    Auto Doors

Got sick and tired of my companions randomly opening doors and settlement gates and this mod fits the bill.

Can create keycards which locks doors/gates, door sensors, auto closing the list goes on and on

Looked into this one already as well lol. Although I like the idea, you cannot open or close a door while in the build menu which really annoys me, so I literally do not build doors. I think I always have one entrance to my base lol, and thats the only door. There needs to be a mod where the doors automatically open up when you get within a couple feet, and close when you are out of range. Opening and closing doors will burn me out on the entire building process lol

you can create and attach auto door open/close thingos and attach them to all your doors. Works in build mode (it's what I do)

By auto-door, do you mean like an automatic door or do I have to click it? I want one like when you go to like a Best-Buy or Wal-Mart and the sensor detects you and open without you doing anything.

Exactly like a supermarket door sensor that opens it and then closes it

I will check it out, I like the idea of that. Like I said, currently I avoid doors all together because I don't like clicking them. But I will definitely look into this, thanks!
