  1. So my latest major update for the Ultimate Fallout 4 Mod Compilation is just a few days away. I have not had the time to constantly check for new mods, although I do catch a nice one every now and then. Since the release of the toolkit the flow of incoming mods has been pretty much 10 times what it was. I want to know the best mods that you use with the least amount of issues. Anything goes, just make sure they are great mods. I can't promise I will use them, but I promise I will take a look. If I do like them I will do my best to fit them in with the next update for the list. Thank you!

  2. connection point issue resolved. working as fast as I can. update today for main file. neon version to follow.

(lots of items to add right now)

    bathroom is done.

    fireplace added.

    thats for mainfile.

    Glowmaps tomorrow.

    2 hooks.

    3 racks.

    mirror (storage one)

    soap dispenser.

    toilet paper dispenser.

    newspaper rack.

    shavedrawer.

    prewar fireplace.

    All buildable.

    Glowmaps on Sunday.

Monday is Victoria Day. So that's another outside day.

Kitchen stuff, shelves etc to finish the house are during the week.

(and no, haven't forgotten about the laundry room/hvac)

Vehicles are going to be a pain. (do I do the ones that you can blow up? what's the point. Will do'em as shootem'up and see what ya git. heh)

    hmmm...

Q: has anyone done Tattoos as glow in the dark?

All sounds good, this project will eventually consist of everything glowing. Literally everything. Even the water. So doing all cars is just inevitable. And I do not believe anyone has done glowing tattoos yet.

  3.

An all in one is on the list, but down a bit.

Just saw a post about editing nifs to add connection points properly.

Going to have a go at that later today. If it works (meaning if I do it right),

I can then add the rest of the bathroom to the buildables.

All that's really left are parts that have to go on the wall.

If all *that* works, then I may do the kitchen cupboards as well.

I want to be able to rebuild in pieces, then entire prewar house.

The cupboards of course, should also be storage.

If I get the nifs working, should only take a couple days to get the rest done.

(making items buildable is dirt easy for me now)

aaaannddd.... if I can do a connection point to add for hanging on wall, I should

also be able to do to connect POWER! Which means having the shower stall be

a decon station becomes a possible reality. (have to figure out how to turn it on/off

    and see about the animation)

One little thing that's been holding up so much.

Ok, time to get the yardwork done so I can go do fun stuff.

(ok, if it's warm enough, I may take the afternoon to sit in the yard and have a brewski)

Does the all-in-one include options for the Neon Wasteland? Or just the original textures and stuff.

Well, I haven't made an all in one. yet.

Just finished far harbor, so firing up CK after I check posts etc.

(and got really really sunburned the other day. nodded off in the backyard. ouchie)

Going to work on trying to get the rest of the bathroom added first.

If I get that done, then it's the shower and powered fridge (without the cooling effect)

Mixed in with that, someone found that adding my mod to their list causes a bug, so I'll be keeping an

eye on that. It's a fairly long list of mods, and I suspect that keywords is involved somehow, which I don't use.

(I changed nothing in the menus, so there shouldn't be any issues at all)

Doing a rollup all in one thing is rather near the bottom of the list. (more of a see if I can do it kinda thing)

But now, it's lets get the bathroom done!

Sounds good man, let me know when you are all finished. I am doing a playthrough on the 1st.

  5. Grab all the mods that have the glowy stuff.

Dump into data folder, extracting any .ba2 files (like mine).

Create new mod, say NEON_FULL. save it. (it's empty)

Now, make 1 new item copy. Doesn't matter what.

    (toilet for example)

copy the .nif to your new item nif.

In CK tell your new item to use the copied NIF.

    Ignore the .bgsm in it.

Now go through the motions of uploading to beth net and pack the archives.

(don't have to upload,, just want main and texture archives made)

Now you can use the archive2 tool (part of CK) to add ALL the material files (and meshes if any) to the main archive,

then add ALL the _g.dds textures to the textures file.

Now you have 1 mod, 3 files and all the pretty colors.

Giving the option to choose colors of course would be another story.

(rather, now we need an NMM installer script to pick what colors you want for various parts. That part I haven't tried yet.)

Granted, going to be a bit of a pain, but for loose files, would probably be tidier, and much easier on the game.

If I get the time, I could probably grab all the loose files and do that. (giving credit to the actual authors of the textures of course)

After Skyrim/FONV, I really got to hate loose files in the data folder, even with a mod manager.

    (overwrite? umm...gahh. Hated tracking that)

Well keep in mind that these lists are popular because of the minimum of amount of steps to get it all working. It would be preferred that people can just install with the NMM normally or with a FOMod launcher in the NMM. Excited to see it all when its done!

  6. Just updated the mod. (fell behind on the weekend)

Apparently CK didn't pack the extra glowmaps in by default.

So, if you edit the .BGSM files to add a glowmap, the .BGSM gets packed, the glowmap does NOT.

Have to manually tell it to pack the files in. Who knew.

(I don't want to have lots of loose files all over, that just leads to conflicts down the road)

Oh, the towel rack glowmap IS going to change. I just stuffed it in there for now.

(trying to figure what part of that map is what....)

All the little bits in the bathroom? paper dispenser, racks, all one big file.

    bleah.

Awesome, so is there an installer when you install now? Or is it a quick NMM install and it just installs. My next playthrough is scheduled for June 1st so that will be the next time I play Fallout 4 lol.

  7. TBH I don't even know how to check the frame rate. As for cleaning out the clutter, This was a brand new PC when I got FO4 & The Witcher 3. I constantly clear out web clutter like cache & browser history. My System Mechanics keeps me running well, and I check the functionality once a week. The only thing I have a problem with the background blinking in and out in Sanctuary, but that could be due to the fact that I use scrap everything and I got rid of all the houses except for my house. Though I have noticed that Beantown Project makes the Concord houses blink in & out when you enter them. And when I say blinking in & out I meen everything inside including walls and floors.

Yeah none of that blinking stuffs happens for me at all, im pretty sure that has to be a different mod thats not on my list. All the scrap mods seem unsafe to me, thats why I don't use them. And when I say clean I mean physically, cleaning the dust out of your computer fans and power supply. Some people let that stuff build up.

  8. Question for anyone running this list of mods.

    I'm running;

    AMD FX 8350 Eight-core

    16GB RAM

    GTX 970

    Solid State Drive

How does this set of mods run for everyone else? I know they don't conflict but what kind of frame rates do you get? Esp. if you took the 4k or higher texture files.

At the moment I'm struggling to maintain 20-30fps in the overworld/wasteland esp in the city area. I'm running medium shadows with no god rays, 1-2k textures, ENB vogue, no ambient occlusion, and a few other things to try and help performance.

Interiors I have no issues with but outside I stutter constantly. With all this said I had come to the conclusion that 4k textures were not even an option but I seem the recommended here on a similar system and I'm hopeful that I'm just missing something or have another issue somewhere that I'm not aware of.

Any help would be great or just knowing how this runs on similar setups would be wonderful. Thanks to anyone who helps.

Your system is very similar to mine. The only time I experienced performance issues is when I neglected to clean the dust out of my computer for to long. Like ....3 years. After I did a thorough cleaning it ran 3 times as fast and my performance issues were fixed. It seems like 80% of PC gamers neglect to clean their hardware.

  9.

Faster Terminal Display simply shortens how long it takes to bring the screen up. Thats not really cheating. I used the 2000 caps version on the Rich Vendors, I feel like if you have stuff to sell, you should be able to sell it. I don't consider selling your goods cheating. Infinite Settlement Budget just lets you build beyond the limit set for you. Instead of having to stop build your base when Bethesda thinks you should stop building it. That's not really cheating either.

I believe the comic mod would replace the glowing mags and I really have a ......thing....... for glowing mods. Lol.....*drool*

I feel like radio station mods are a great idea but most of them add to many songs and most people only end up liking 5 to 10 of them and rarely get to hear them. I also feel like they bog down load times with all the data.

As for help, I imagine I will one day be looking for a dedicated modder to help me keep up with this list. I am juggling this list and the Neon Wasteland Edition at the moment but am currently waiting for the release of far harbor to update my list and I actually plan to wait a few weeks for the mod authors to get any kinks out of their mods before I bury myself in mods and testing for a week to get all the new stuff in and some old stuff out. I plan on doing a very large overhaul.

Exactly what @bwins95 said. I have it in game, and has not affected the glow mags. I hear what you are saying about why you don't consider those I listed as cheats, just like I don't consider Bag of Holding a cheat. How many times have you been so far away from a workshop or any kind of trader only to be bogged down with too much weight? I have plenty of times. So this Bag of Holding is a wonderful idea. Okay, I'm done making a case for it.

As for help, keep me in mind. I'm currently enrolled with a local college for I.T. so I have some free time. Except for after the 31st of this month. The last DLC of The Witcher 3 comes out then, and I already had it preordered for my XB1. It's adding 90 new missions and a bunch of other great stuff. Anyway, let's stay in touch, and like always, if I find something interesting, I'll post it here.

    BadWolf

Never been a big fan of The Witcher. I really don't like the controls in any of the games. I haven't played the 3rd yet though. And yes please let me know if you find anything good. I am probably putting War Of The Commonwealth in the next update. It looks like it would make things very interesting.

  10.

the 1st and last mods won't let me access the page, server down or something. The bag of holding seems like cheating to me lol. I appreciate you taking the time to throw me some ideas. I don't have as much time as I did when I started this list.

IDK what happend with those links, but I replaced & tested them so they are good links now. Strange this is, I replaced them with the same address. The Bag of Holding, yeah it's a cheat but isn't Faster Terminal Displays, Infinite Settlement Budget & Rich Vendors also cheats? LOL

And no problem with throwing things your way. You have said before that you don't have as much time as you used to. So that's why I post them. That way you and others can check them out. Just call it a Helping hand. Before I found your thread I was going to start one like this for newbies like me. But you have saved me the time.

Speaking of Mods, found a couple more:

Comics Got Back-CGB 2.0 by tonicmole

    http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1644/?

This is a texture mod to put on the backs of the perk mags. Better than seeing the burnt cover on the back. I was just thinking about this the other day during a loading screen, why is there nothing on the back? I used to collect comic books, and they as well as other magazines, have something on the back cover.

Also found a radio station mod. Not the one that I mentioned before with 268 tracks (I'm waiting for that on to be fixed because I like 90% of the songs). This one has 111 and it is for Diamond City Radio.

More Where That Came From by OldManMose76

    http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/637/?

Adds 111 new lore friendly songs to Diamond City Radio using JRavens' Extra Tracks Pack - DIAMOND mod (With permission). It also disables Travis' song into and outro, but still retains Travis doing ads & news.

Just tested the links I placed, works fine as it should. Listen, if you ever need help with this page, let me know and we can discuss in PM what I can help you with.
