  1. oooooo so i can manually download a mod and put it in NMM so that it works the same way it would if i had downloaded it using NMM? pleaaassee tell me how so i can deactivate mods i installed manually (cuz when u move those folders and they merge and stuff, theres no turning back lmao)
  2. I'm running windows 7 64-bit. I want to play skyrim with my 360 controller. So, i see that there is an option in game for vibration, and one to enable the controller for use. I click them both, and exit the game. then I plug in my 360 controller using the cord that came with it when i bought the xbox years ago (to charge the included battery pack, by plugging in one end to the controller, and that has a light on it that lights up when its plugged into the 360, you know what I'm talking about lol) The cord still works, and when i plug it in to the computer, windows makes that noise that you've plugged something in to the USB port and all that, and the first time i did it (im on a new computer so this was the first time i had plugged in the controller to it) that window popped up showing you that windows is installing the device software and then when thats over showing a check mark and saying the device is ready to use. so yeah i did all of that, and keep in mind the controller is off, as is the 360, and theres no light on the cord but since windows made the noise i figured it was all working. I started up skyrim (using my mouse and keyboard at this point, i figured it would kick it to controller mode when skyrim loaded onto the screen) and it started up but i was still using my mouse and keyboard even in the main menu, so i clicked continue (i was playing using mouse and keyboard earlier), and when my save loaded, i still could only use mouse and keyboard, my 360 controller was plugged in and all but it didnt do anything. I went to settings to make sure the two options for controllers were still enabled and they were, so i thought id log out and search the internet more. Found out there was software from microsoft for connecting 360 controllers to the pc called "Xbox 360 Wireless Accessories Status", so i installed that, restarted the computer, then double clicked the software (a small pill shaped screen opens, exactly the same as the notification blerb that pops up when you earn and achievement or a friend logs in and stuff like that) this screen apparently shows how many controllers are connected, but it doesnt show mine as being connected. i double clicked it and the small screen popped up and i dunno why it wasnt showing that mine was connected but i went ahead and started skyrim up anyway but still i can only use my mouse and keyboard TL;DR I haven't tried it with an emulator like Xpadder because apparently you don't need it, everyone is saying you can just plug in the controller and go, but it's not working for me. I figured that windows installed any driver necessary when i first plugged the controller in and it did that initial setup (where when it finishes a green check appears next to the device saying it's ready to use). Any help?
  3. Would it still be worth buying the legendary edition on steam, despite the fact I've already gotten the DLCs for the 360, and still havent even beaten alot of the game?
  4. Hello! I want to get Skyrim for the pc through the Steam sale going on now but I don't know whether to get the regular edition or the legendary edition. I know the legendary edition comes with all the added features like the buildable player housing, mounted combat, etcetera etcetera, but can I get that stuff through the nexus as well? If it does, is it as good as what Bethesda made (mounted combat for example)
