  1. Bugs... thanks for posting this. I was lost and couldn't find a solution. I know this post is somewhat old, but it saved my game and wanted to give you thanks.
  2. If the link for safety load is looping back to the forum. Try this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? Great information, thanks for updating and re-posting. (I vote sticky)
  3. I find the console is my friend in those rare situations where my followers get stuck: >open console >prid <follower reference id> >moveto player >close console This doesn't specifically give you specifically what you asked for but I am not a big fan of creating a mod, where a very simple console command can solve the issue. Of course if using the console is not your thing (breaks the immersion) maybe someone can suggest a better way.
  4. There are already quite a few good male body mods available (i.e http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57952/?). Have a look within Nexus and you may find what you are looking for. However, that being said, if you are keen on doing your own there are several tools you will need Nifscope, BSAOpt (also available on the Nexus) for building skeletons you are going to need a program like blender or 3dsMax. Google around and you will find some very good tutorials on how to use these programs and the process of building characters from scratch. I am also just getting started so can't offer any specific advice at this point but you have come to the right place. The Skyrim Modding community is very forth coming with advice and technical assistance.
  5. What Jannifer is suggesting is that you open the console while in game. The console is accessed by pressing the tilde key (~) on the keyboard. On an English keyboard that would be the key to the left of the number 1. Once the console is open you target the NPC with your cursor (you should see the reference ID show up in the middle of your monitor. Then type ResetAI and press Enter. Leave the console by pressing the tilde key again. We can't be certain that this will solve your problem but its worth a try.
  6. I am just getting started in modding and learning my way around the CK and some of the other great tools that are available. The one tool that I think I have the most trouble with (but getting better) is outfit studio. Why can some meshes be moved quite readily (edit connected turned off> and move brush highlighted) and other cannot? It seems with some mesh objects no matter what I do I can only move vertices and not the entire object. It seems to mainly happen when the outfit mesh is one solid piece (and maybe that is the answer). Outfits with multiple meshes don't seem to give me as many problems. Just curious - thanks for the help.
  7. The Art of Magicka also has some interesting versions of this type of robe: http://nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1040/?
  8. If vanilla is crashing, and you can't restore - uninstall and re-install? Is that an option for you. I know it can be a pain, but it sounds like something has corrupted your game files.
  9. I am fairly new to modding myself but I don't think it would work the way you described. The navmesh needs to be congruent (connected) at all time in order for an NPC to use it. That doesn't mean it can't be done but I would think you would have to do some advanced scripting to get this to work correctly. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some details.
  10. Thank you for the clarification Jannifer, in my rush to help I completely missed the distinction. I often think of SkyUI and SKSE in the same vain as the two utilities in my eyes go hand in hand. Your solution is the way to go.
  11. When faced with this dilemma (and I have many times) I always start by disabling all esp's. It may not be a bad ideas to also disable dawngard. Try loading SkyUI with just the Vanilla game this will confirm if it is a mod or the SkyUI install that is the problem. If it looks like it's the SkyUI install google SkyUI - there are many very good video, and step by step tutorials available. With the number of reasons for CTD's you really have to narrow down the root cause. If it ends up not being SkyUI then begin adding back in the mod one at a time until the problem occurs again. It may be that you need a patch or a different version of that particular mod.
