  1. I kind of wish I could add ballistic weave to Grognak's costume, since it's attributes are pretty decent except that it offers almost no defense. :/
  2. I really find it annoying that when in First Person my view appears much 'shorter' than it should be. What I mean is, it's as though my character's eyes are at his neck or chin rather than where his eyes actually are, making my view feel much shorter than it actually is. For example< I'm standing next to someone of the same height in game, and yet I'm practically looking up at them. Is there any fix for this?
  3. Pretty much this. Only -one- follower is just...silly. Did Beth not notice the -extreme- popularity of the multiple follower mods?
  4. In response to post #24784099. #24784289, #24785139, #24810294, #24811099 are all replies on the same post. That about sums it up. Very good points.
  5. Instead of Bethesda looking at the modding community and saying "Oh wow, people are still playing our single player game almost 4 years on due to mods? What great PR!" They said "Huh...maybe we can squeeze a few more dimes out of them." Yes, companies need to make money, but just because something makes money does not necessarily mean its good for business. Paid mods is one such instance where making money is not necessarily 'good for business.'
  6. I'm in need of a new computer -- building it myself is not an option -- and it seems that windows 8.1 is now more or less standard in the prebuilt machines. That said, will I be able to run Skyrim once I get the new machine?
  7. Err...that maybe true in a lot of cases, but I think you are largely ignoring a few things when it comes to 'skimpy' armors. 1) Influence of JRPG. "Skimpy" armors are the norm in JRPG, where both male and female characters are highly sexualized as a show of their physical prowess, and many of the 'skimpy' armors we see here on the Nexus are directly influenced by JRPG armor sets. Terra Armors etc. 2) Red Sonja. Red Sonja has been making the "chain mail bikini' popular since 1973. She remains one of the most popular female characters among female comic readers, with her chain-mail bikini being one of the most popular costumes for female attendants at comic conventions. 3) Skyrim was heavily influenced by Conan the Barbarian. Let's face it, the Vanilla Skyrim Tsun Armor and Forsworn armor is basically a total ripoff of Conan the Barbarian. You might call those costumes skimpy, but they are ingrained in our fantasy ideal of the barbarian/viking/nordic warrior, and it shows even in the vanilla game. 4) Skyrim is an escape, and as such, it is just more pleasant - for most players regardless of gender - if your character exudes qualities that you find pleasing. In other words, you are living vicariously through your character. 5) Sexuality, and the qualities thereof, are different in men and women. There is something of a primal sexual quality in a dirty, hulking brute clad in armor. He is geared for war, he is strong, he is brutally masculine, and that makes him sexual, because he is exuding primal male qualities. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your mindset, the same cannot be said if that hulking, dirty, armor clad figure were a woman, because those simply aren't 'primal' female sexual qualities. Sexuality and sexual features are just different in and for men and women.
  8. It works as promised, and so far does not appear to come with any of the bugs or instability of mods like nightmare or asis. Many thanks! :)
  9. Nightmare's toggles do not work properly, as stated by the author himself -- for instance, Dragure spawning with creatures, and NPCs spawning and respawning despite toggling them off. ASIS causes crashes, glance at the comments, and its Skyproc Patcher does not compile its ini tweaks properly for a lot of users -- myself included. That said, around two years into Skyrim, is there a reliable Mod that increases spawns yet? So many followers, so few enemies is getting dull.
  10. EDIT Nevermind. Apparently you need to enter the interior once, then save, and exit and reenter for the follower to follow.
  11. I've added a custom blacksmith into my game, and he buys and sells products fine, but I also wanted him to buy mined ore via dialogue option, just like when you bring miner's ore, and they buy through a dialogue option. I added him to the FavorJobMineOre faction, and he greets me by saying "We'll buy all the ore you can dig up," and though I have ore in my inventory, there is no dialogue option for him to buy it. Any help on this would be much appreciated.
  12. Already done. ^_^ http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23260 You can travel to Masser...the moon, the ClockWork city, teleport through Skyrim, conduct AethWalks(spacewalks) on your ship, call down orbital strikes on enemies, etc.
  13. I downloaded Atvir last night...and I am so loving him. I love how he has so much to say, and his wit. He actually makes my character seem like the 'dead' one! LOL! Which is really nice for a change from the vanilla followers. I cannot wait for further updates, and maybe even more dialogue! ^_^ Walking around with him, it actually feels like there is another character there. His random comments, his personality, it really helps bring the idea of a 'gang of adventurers' to life, something vanilla Skyrim was sadly missing.
  14. What Bethesda failed to realize is that they really need to beef up the RPG/Functionality of the non-combat areas of their game. Seriously, Skyrim desperately needs developer made, non-combat features. They should have fleshed out the marriage feature. They should have fleshed out their non-combat employment areas. They could have given functionality to non-combat jobs such as woodcutting, smithing, enchanting, etc.., much like other, modern big-time rpgs. Skyrim needs to add some "Role Play." Most rpg-players want to do more than run around mindlessly hitting stuff with a sword. Really, they should have done anything they could have to shift some much needed focus onto areas that are more than just hack-and-slash. Some of the most popular mods available right now are mods that allow the player to do more than kill things. The non-combat area of Skyrim is painfully lacking.
  15. Actually, there is already quite bit of the work done that would need to go into a pregnancy mod. To make a pregnancy mod as we had in Fallout or Oblivion, you need three thins. Sex Anims, Pregnancy bodies, and scripting. 1) Sex animations. Obviously, we've got these. A lot of them, actually. 2) Pregnant body. There are at least two of these right now, both on another Skyrim modding site. So, they do exist, just not on the Nexus. 3) Scripting for the pregnancy to happen. We've got this too. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12419 And it's right here on the Nexus, and it pretty much works. :) Really, all we need is someone to put these three things together, so that the pregnancy scripts trigger either at intervals or randomly after the Sex animation has taken place.
  16. Wait...the RPG Project is back? Awesome! I got really nervous when I saw the original was taken down. This sounds awesome.
  17. I'd like to second the request for integrating the Pregnancy Script with one of the sex mods. We have the animations, the Pregnancy Scripts, and we've got the models. What I think most would like to see is just some kind of chance for a pregnancy written into the sex scene. Then, perhaps after a given amount of time, the player/npc model changes to the pregnancy model, and then after a given amount of time the player/npc model reverts to normal and there is a kid or young follower. I started a discussion in Mod Talk about it. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/772029-integrating-existing-pregnancy-resources/
  18. After talking to several modders, I understand that Skyrim requires three complete parts to make a working pregnancy mod, 1) Animations. 2) Pregnancy Models. 3) Pregnancy scripting. After surfing the Nexus and 'another site,' I was surprised to find that we actually have all three of these items, they just aren't integrated yet. 1) Animations. As most of you are aware, Skyrim now has three working 'Sex Mods' that add in naughty animations, and other side features into the game. Two of the three sex mods, ASX and AP, are hosted right here on the Nexus. 2) Pregnancy models. Over on 'another site,' there are at least two pregnant bodies floating around. They are modders resources, and so are there for any modder wishing to use them. I don't know if I am allowed to mention the site, but most Skyrim modders will know where I am talking about. 3) Pregnancy scripting. Right here on the Nexus, we have a working and playable pregnancy script. It is a modders resource. Link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12419 My question is this, can we get these resources integrated on some kind of working level? We have all of the resources, and despite the 'sex mods' getting rather advanced, there really doesn't seem to be any talk of getting pregnancy up and working for Skyrim as we had in Oblivion, Fallout, and NV.
  19. I really am not crazy about the fact that once married, your spouse essentially becomes a reclouse, never, ever leaving the house...and then somehow managing a store from the home. Is there a mod that gives your spouse a sort of 'around town' schedule, or let's them keep their original schedule, except to utilize your spousal home at the end of the day?
  20. Since the patch, I am getting huge stuttering problems, and random freezes at least 2-3 times an hour. If I try to use an ENB, the game simply will not load past the main menu. Before 1.6 I was running Skyrim on a mix of High and Ultra settings, with zero stuttering or lag issues, except under the most 'intense' situations, and no freezes or crashes. I am running on 8 Gigs of Ram 3.40 GHz Intel Quad Core Processor 1 Gig Vram. Path 1.6 is the equiviliant of malware. Skyrim is now all but unplayable.
  21. I am not sure I'm following. When you say 'open' the NPC in the Creation Kit, you are simply opening the task window to edit the NPC? I really don't understand why you would have to rename the NPC upon saving, that shouldn't be happening. If you try editing a existing NPC, does this still happen?
  22. Am editing an existing one, but I figured it out. After making any changes to an NPC's appearance, you have to generate the new appearances textures/meshes by highlighting the NPC's name in the Object Window list, and then pressing CTRL+F4. This also soved a grey face issue I was having with an NPC I created last night.
  23. Okay, I am trying to edit an NPC's weight to get it to maximum, what I am doing is this. I open the charcter in the Creation Kit, and set weight value to 100. I preview her, and there is no seam. However, then i load up the game, and there is a see-through neckseam. I open the console, and use the setnpcweight command to reset her weight, and the seam disappears. However, upon entering/exiting a cell, or saving and loading the seam reappears. What am I doing wrong? Is there a step I am missing? No, non of my other characters have neackseams of any kind.
  24. As of yesterday, Leather Armor has begun appearing on all my companions. Here is the situation, I recruit a Companion, and they appear with their default equipment. I can change their outfits just fine, and while following me, they retain what I give them. However, when entering/exiting a cell, they sometimes revert to Leather Armor, even if Leather Armor was not their default equipment. ALWAYS when dismissing them, they revert to Leather Armor. I do have several Comapnion mods installed, but they do not change default outfits. I am also using Amazing Follower Tweaks, but that also does not change anything that would cause all comapnions to 'force' equip Leather Armor. Beyond that, I have no mods installed that should be causing this.
  25. From Morrowind, the entire Elder Scrolls series has been rapidly scaled back from its original Role Play design in favor of an action-rpg 'experience' that forces the entire world to revolve around the player, and quests that involve very little beyond killing things in a random dungeon. -- Example 1, Take for instance, the Companions, within less than 10 very minor, very short quests, you are somehow 'promoted' to being the Harbinger, and if you read Kodlak's journal, you learn that he had actually 'dreamt' of your coming. This entirely removes the possibility of fairly climbing the ranks as 'just another member.' This means, for instance, that there is really no way to 'just be a companion' unless you purposely choose not to advance the quest line, in which case Jorrvaskr becomes useless since the only way you can access the raidant quests at the end is to finish the quest line. -- Example 2, The Dark Brotherhood is also very similar in this regard. You join the Dark Brotherhood, and within a handful of 'kills,' the Night Mother has -- for no apparent reason -- 'chosen' the player to be the 'special' Listener that will magically restore the Dark Brotherhood to its former glory. This entirely removes any sense of accomplishment, as somehow everything was 'written in the stars' for the player. In short, there is no way to 'fairly' do anything in Skyrim, since in every guild, and every faction, the player is somehow 'special' or 'chosen.
