Your exterior LOD looks pretty much normal to me. Oblivion doesn't keep these small objects in it's LOD because it would be too much of a burden for some PCs. Otherwise, you can change the maximum distance that objects are displayed at in the video options menu by sliding the four object sliders all the way to the left. After that, it is pure LOD that is hiding them. You can also download a mod called RAEVWD which will allow Oblivion to show more objects in it's LOD than normal. Understand though that this will put more strain on your PC and only very powerful PCs can run with full RAEVWD enabled and even then, they can't run with it and a large texture pack installed. As for the interior buildings, see if those object sliders I mentioned make a difference. If not, see what the "Texture size" setting is set to in the Video Options menu.

Missing spell icons from all mods

You're welcome. -
You're welcome. I'm sorry you have to buy a brand new copy though. I find that Oblivion isn't as unstable as most people say. I regularly play for a few hours without any crashes. But then again, I follow most/ all of the suggestions on the website in my signature.

I'm sorry but you didn't give a lot of information to us. Where exactly do you run into problems?

I don't think Trandoshan's intention is to make critical hits work with spells. Otherwise, that is a very clever idea. I would never have thought of that.

LOD textures are crazy colors and wrong
XJDHDR replied to Imrinfected's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
You're welcome. I had a suit of armour mod installed once (it was called "Armoury of the Silver Dragon"). If texture size is set to large, the armour becomes one of the most beautiful suits of armour in the game. If texture size is medium or small however, I have the same problem as you had with the landscape, except worse. -

Are you using a script effect silencing mod? I think the one created by SCA is the best available. -
Try examining the clues more carefully to see if you can't work out where the armour is. If you still can't figure it out, maybe the author included a spoilers section in the readme or in a seperate file.

Were you trying to install Oblivion, Shivering Isles or Knights of the Nine when this happened? Does it look like there is any damage or scratches on that disc? I suggest you don't ask anyone here to give you their Data4.cab file. The moderaters will consider that piracy. I remember one occasion about a year ago where one user, "Dragon 1990", requested that anyone give their copy of Oblivion.exe to him because he was having problems. Buddah banned him for "requesting the upload of copyrighted material". Another user, "DremoraChurl", then announced in that same thread that he had uploaded his EXE file for Dragon to use. Buddah banned him as well.

I don't think I understand what you are trying to say. Bethesda should have a patch for every version of Oblivion they released.

I forgot about that. I did read somewhere that creating lip sync files with the v1.2 CS is impossible. The way everyone works around that problem is to use the v1.0 CS to generate lip sync files then use the v1.2 one to do everything else.

Can't install latest OOO/MMM versions
XJDHDR replied to 449's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
You should probably run BOSS again then. That means the times on each file is exactly the same, which BOSS should sort out. -
Did you double-click Oblivion.esm and make sure there was a cross next to Oblivion.esm before you clicked on OK?

Can you please post your mod load order. -
I think the most efficient way of doing what you asked (and the only way I know of) is to put a script on the player character with an OnHit block. What exactly went wrong when you tried adding a script to the player? According to my knowledge, references (ie Player 00000014) will inherit any scripts (and certain other attributes) that are attached to it's base object (ie Player 00000007). From what I've heard though, directly modifying the player record is supposed to be taboo in the modding community so I'll let you deal with that.

You can try and have a look at Tweakguides.com's Oblivion tweak guide. You may be able to find what you are looking for there.

The place you downloaded the Oblivion patch should also have localised versions. Try looking again and see if you can find a patch that matches the localisation you have.

You're welcome.

Oblivion Slowing Down Over Time
XJDHDR replied to Germandeathkittiez's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
The only way you are going to reduce loading times is by reducing the amount of time it takes the game to load your meshes and textures. The most obvious improvement in that regard would be a faster hard drive. Defragmenting would be another way. After that, you can try reducing the size of the files the game has to load (PyFFI and uninstalling large mesh and texture replacers would help). Then the final way is to extract the contents of your BSAs then repack them as an uncompressed BSA using OBMM. Of that list, I know the crash prevention mod by Windom increases loading times. Otherwise, I think the only other mod which would affect loading would be the UOPs since they use PyFFIed meshes, which are smaller and perform better. -
Good luck with that. Also good to know the problem is solved.

How can I get the default crosshair back?

That probably is correct but it doesn't matter anyway. I just told 449 that he already has the file he needs. -

Oblivion Slowing Down Over Time
XJDHDR replied to Germandeathkittiez's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
I think RAEVWD would be the main cause of your problems. If you run RAEVWD with landscape replacer mods, you are almost guaranteed to cause poor performance on even the best hardware available ATM. I suggest you remove either RAEVWD (except the base meshes, those will improve performance) or the landscape texture replacers and see if there is an improvement. You could also look at the website in my signature to see if any of the mods or methods listed there can help you.
