  1. In response to post #27772820. #27773245, #27785260, #27787150, #27827605, #27828245, #27828875, #27833980, #27837490, #27840175, #27841035, #27848505, #27850734, #27856114, #27933514, #27939239 are all replies on the same post. As far as I know the "45% of gamers are women" statistic is including people who say that occasionally play angry birds or candy crush as "gamers. So, kind of true, but super misleading. It's not like anyone gives a s#*! (or should give a s#*!) about gender on the Nexus, of all places.
  2. Oh hey, haven't seen this thread in ages :D So, for a while I've been working with Twarrior to redo the lighting in his interiors, fix bugs, completely fix navmeshing in the interiors and main street, add my own personal touches to the mod for diversity, etc, just generally adding polish and bug fixing. We're soon to merge with the Solitude bathhouse mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18811/?) which I will go over for any bugs and issues, and then edit the lighting so that it fits with the rest of Solitude. However, one of the most time sucking things I have to do is making interiors unique, editing them to have different books, plants, items, furniture placement, etc, and so me and Twarrior have come to the agreement to get outside help from other modders. People of all levels of Creation Kit experience are welcome, we'll give you some basic information (EG: Small wooden farmhouse for 2 adults), then you simply create your own .esp file, make a new interior, and the rest is up to you! Once you're done, you can send the file to me, and I'll use Tes5edit & the CK to check the mod for any bugs & issues, and that's it! If you've never used the Creation Kit before but would like to learn, this is a good way, as we'll be able to guide you and help you with any issues you might have, and you'll still be making valuable contribution to the project. All contributes will be credited, of course! Sp, no matter your skill level with the CK, write a comment or send me a PM, and I'll help you get started!
  3. Don't think this is really viable, it would require scripts constantly running checking whether it's dawn, further clogging up saves with scripts, and even then it would be difficult to do and the end result would never be really what you're looking for.
  4. Hi, I have recently upgraded my system to include an fx-6300, Asus m5a97 LE R2.0 Motherboard, and a CM hyper 212 evo CPU cooler. I still seem to get these issues, but I have tried turning off my ENB and it seems to help a fair bit, but there is still a lot of stutters, even when running a vanilla mod profile, does anybody have any ideas what may be the cause? The CPU and Ram still seem to behave pretty much the same, ram usage high but not maxed out, all six cpu cores are being mostly used, and the vram usage is kind of middling with a lot of spare vram, gpu usage is about 60% and spikes every few seconds with an ENB, but doesn't spike without.
  5. For anybody interested, I will post updates on the Better cities Skyrim comment section, the mod is being prepared for a large re release.
  6. Looks very good, I hope work on this continues! Good luck :)
  7. Thanks, I suspected as much. Would you recommend windows 7 64bit or 8 64bit? I have had recommendations for both. I will also buy a new cpu soon, does anyone have any suggestions for a cpu under £80? (Can be a bit more if required). Also does this mean it is not my vram causing the stuttering? I expected 2gb vram to be plenty since I am running no landscape or town textures and I'm not running huge amounts of 4k textures either. Oh and btw, Chanchan05, I am using the latest version of SKSE (I believe, I installed it about 2 weeks ago), and SSME, and the enb includes enboost.
  8. Hi, Yes, I am having stutters and ctds, and yes, I have looked at a bunch of other stutter posts asking for help and I still have am not completely sure of the cause. Basically, Skyrim stutters horribly in most areas outside, and even more just outside towns (Riften and Whiterun mostly), and also stutters in certain towns like Windhelm. I have tried and tried to fix this problem, but nothing seems to work, and I'm wondering if it's caused solely by my CPU, which I suspect it is, since my CPU runs at about 90 - 95% usage whilst playing Skyrim, somethimes peaking at 100% (often when I stutter or ctd), and my GPU is only at about 60-70% load. Framerates are fine, I get about 30-40fps when looking straight forward, but then stutter when turning around and my fps drops to about 1 frame every 4 seconds for about 6 seconds before the game goes back to a smooth framerate. But I am unsure of whether this is due to Vram usage as well, as sometimes when Skyrim has a CTD the vram usage is at around 1970 mb (of 2048 mb), it might be my cpu causing the stutters and my vram causing the crashes. I would like other peoples opinion on this as then I will know whether buying a better cpu will mostly fix the problem, or whether it is due to having too many/too high res texture mods, or lack of system ram, or needing a faster drive. Here are my specs: RAM: 4gb crucial ballistix ram OS: 32bit windows 7 HDD: 500gb seagate 7200rpm hard drive PSU: XFX 550w GPU: AMD XFX R9 270 (Stock speeds) CPU: AMD phenom II x2 550 BE @3.5 ghz (Overclocked from 3.1 ghz to 3.5 ghz) CPU cooler: Arctic cooling freezer 7 Skyrim mods: Requiem A few other non massive gameplay mods such as Epic gameplay overhaul, Hunterborn, Convenient horses, etc. A few immersion, armour, weapon, animation, house, and other probably not performance affecting mods, such as wet and cold, immersive armours, etc A few not too heavy NPC mods: Interesting npcs, inconsequential npcs, and populated roads paths lands (No other NPC mods) Realistic water 2, the grim and somber ENB (game still stutters without enb), ELFX, Grass on steroids with imingrasssize @ 80, SMIM, unique grasses and groundcovers, Skyrim performance plus, Skyrim project optimization. Running the enb in borderless windowed mode, with the recommended enb local tweaks for my system. A bunch of texture mods, most of which only effect interiors, weapons, armour, and npcs. No landscape textures apart from Vivid landscapes all in one (performance version) & alternative snow 1k, no town retextures. Most of the textures are 1k, with some exceptions such as the amidianborn armour and weapons mods. I realise that my cpu is vastly inferior to my GPU, this is because I have upgraded the GPU but not the CPU, I just want to know whether upgrading the cpu will fix the problem, or whether the problem lies with something else. Here is a picture of Skyrim in a stutter heavy area (Windhelm) the game ctds and the memory usage drops at the end. Sorry for the crude ms paint picture :)
  9. Also a link to the better cities Markarth thread! - http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1280942-better-cities-markarth/&do=findComment&comment=10731842

  11. Hi, I have been creating a patch for Morrowloot4E and Immersive armours, and the patch will add armours from IA around the world as static objects. But, I have come into a bit of a problem. Whenever I load up the creation kit, I load skyrim.esm, the Immersive armours esp, morrowloot.esp, and my own mods esp. I can place objects and items from IA in the creation kit and it works fine, but everytime I load the CK up again to continue working on my mod all of the items I have placed from IA dissapear, but all my other changes are fine. I asked Hothtrooper44 (creator of IA) about this and he said I have to also add IA and morrowloot as masters, I can't just load them up in the creation kit. I looked up how to do this, and tried adding masters with Wrye bash, which seemed to work, and my plugin shows up as having the IA.esp and morrowloot.esp as masters, but as soon as I save it in the CK all my IA items dissapear again. Sorry if I am being unclear ._. But does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help :D
  12. New screenshots now up! You can look through them here - http://s856.photobucket.com/user/moozilbee/media/Newlanterns_zps10a9f625.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2
  13. Anybody interested in testing out the mod to see what you think so far? Only done market stalls and a few things so far, but a second opinion would be good!
  14. Yep, been working on it more recently, more screenshots to come! I have now edited the red lights in the market to make them stand out less
  15. Are you using any texture mods? post your mods list, just saying "fully modded" isn't very helpful
  16. Here is a link to a mod I am making for markarth if anyone is interested or has suggestions, I have shown it to TWarrior but it is still in the early stages of development - http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1280942-better-cities-markarth/
  17. I would recommend you try out an enb mod OR the RCRN mod as alternatives to Climates of tamriel (project reality) OR use Climates of tamriel AND ELFX together (Plus an enb if you want). RCRN and ENBs are very performance heavy, but since you have a rather good computer you should be able to handle them fine, but can you try an find out what graphics card you have? I assume it is quite good as you have a fast processor and lots or ram, but just to be sure you can run an ENB/RCRN. Personally I use ELFX and Climates of tamriel together, I tried RCRN and ENB's and they were nice but my graphics card wasn't really good enough for them. I would also recommend Recommend realistic water 2 as an alternative to pure waters, I find it makes the water nicer and more realistic, rather than all water being crystal clear. Good luck!
  18. Most of these mods should be fine, (if you can run skyrim anyway) as most do not change the graphics at all, just add in new content. However, get rid of the high res texture packs, also get rid of climates of Tamriel and Realistic lighting overhaul, your computer won't be able to run them, and they do the same thing anyway. Also get rid of all immersive patrols plugins (called immersive brigands, immersive factions etc), they add lots more NPCs and will melt your processor. Just stay away from any graphics mods in general. Here is an entire list of all esps you should remove - Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esmHighResTexturePack01.esp HighResTexturePack02.esp HighResTexturePack03.espBetter Dynamic Snow.espStaticMeshImprovementMod.esp StaticMeshImprovementMod-FurnitureChestSnowFix.espImmersive Battles.esp Immersive Brigands.esp Immersive Factions.esp Immersive Mercenaries.esp Immersive Patrols.esp Immersive Travelers.espSkyrim Flora Overhaul.esp WetandCold.espFootprints.espCloaks.espBook Covers Skyrim.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espRealistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Exteriors.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.espprod80_CoT_patch.espPurewaters.esp If you still struggle even after removing all these, remove Immersive weapons and/or immersive armours (hothtrooper44 armour compilation) as the weapons they add are rather high resolution
  19. I would recommend just not using that many mods, look through your mod list and get rid of mods that you don't actually need/use/notice, that many mods and your game is bound to be unstable
