You can make it so the potion is always the same, but the duration changes with ingredients, and skill perks. I'm making a potion that summons a creature, and it will summon the same creature of the same level, no matter what. Only for longer durations depending. I know it's not an answer to your question. Just suggesting an alternative. Good luck.

I have made a potion that summons a unique NPC. It is a Fire type thing, and I plan on having a few more, like Frost type, and others. I would REALLY like to avoid using the normal Conjuration Summoning FX. Does anyone know a way I can copy the effect, then make different color versions? Rather than the normal dark blue? I would also be content, if I could make a fire effect, that lasts about 3 seconds, then disappears. I tried the Flamecloak effect, and it was cool, but I don't know how to make it disappear. If the Summoning location stays on fire, its not really ideal. I bet there are a number of solutions that would be cool. Please throw any Ideas my way. TYVM. Peace.

Hello. What I'm Doing: I am currently working on a player home type mod, that when finished, will have not only great scenes, and functionality, but also some fun lore. Since my modding specialty is world design, most of the lore done by me, will be through books, and journals, as well as the flavor of the scenes. I plan to add myself, (or hopefully have a partner do) at least 1 in depth NPC on the property, possibly even uniquely voiced. ------------------------------------------------------ What I'm Seeking: I would LOVE to first of all feature some unique items in my mod. If you have a weapon, or armor, ect. that stands alone, It could be incorporated somewhere in the mod, and give the whole place more flavor! Also, I have a few more specific requests, that require skills I don't have. One is to take a rusty old lantern, and press a few gems in the thing. (Gems are not static, so this cannot be done with CK alone) I have a porch area, that is so close to perfect, but it needs a little pop of color. This unique lantern, would be just right! A small request, that I think would be the cherry on the cake! Secondly, and perhaps a bit taller of an order, would be some weapons/armor with a theme. The property as it stands, and I think will stay, is "Foxridge" So, how about a new shield, and banner set. Orange, with a fox face silhouette! Also a sword, or dagger, that has a fox face on the hilt. The flavor I imagine, is either steel, or silver for color, a leather grip for a woodsy feel, and a simple design, perhaps with some Nordic flare. ----------------------------------------------------- If you do the modeling stuff, or retexturing, please hit me up! The property is looking so good, and people are gonna love it, but with a few unique items, it would be over the top! Of course, upon release, I would up front in large font, give a huge thanks to anyone who added to the mod, and suggest they check you out.

Ok so, assume I have a cool "Player Home" type Mod, and another person has a "Cool set of Armor" Mod With permission of course, what If I wanted to have that armor, included in my home, sitting on the table or whatever. How would this work? Would you copy info from his ESP, and then paste it in my Mod? Thanks in advance for any help. PEACE.

If you are referring to Navmesh, u cannot connect them over cells. What you do, (I don't remember how) is push the Navmesh up to the edges, then tell it to connect the parallel sides.

Looking for Modding Partnership!
Oracleofmoons replied to Oracleofmoons's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I know this, but that is no reason to not pursue a partner. I appreciate your suggestion, and I do intend to do many things on CK, but for now, I would like to create a rad scene, and then let a partner add the other stuff. Some good things can come from working together, that I may not see alone. Also, if the person has a deeper understanding of quest creation, they may add a lot more than whatever simple quest I would be able to do at first. -
Hello! ----WHAT I OFFER---- I have a lot of modding ideas, but in the past, I had the best luck creating "player home" type mods. I have made some really cool ones, and I am currently beginning the best yet! My specialty IMO is the art of object placement. Similar to having a good eye with a camera, I can lay out a nice yard, and interior. You will NOT find any floating corners, or buggy furniture, because as simple as these mistakes can be, I'm VERY thorough, and cautious. (OCD lol) -------------------------------------------------------------- Out of the handful of mods I posted on Steam, I ended up deleting all but one. Ironically, the one I left on Steam, was the first one I made. The second one was very popular, but I was a bit embarrassed honestly by the sheer amount of crap piled into it. It was sexy looking, but WAY overdone, and crashed some peoples computers from too much plants.... basically. "Hunting Camp - Player Home" I think, is the name of the one I left on Steam, or I can send you a copy. ( I would need to get it from Steam myself lol) It is a camp near Riverwood. Very simple, my first work ever, but heh, people like it. 4 star rating for over a year now. -------------------------------------------------------------- Currently I'm working on a new Player Home type project, that will involve a yard, an interior, and a "private grove" out the back door. (location is placed on edge of world space) Now I have a good feeling about the place itself! As I said above, making beautiful places is something I have excelled at in CK. However, I would like to do more than place it on the map, and throw in a key. I would like to add some lore, mostly through a few books/journals, most of this stuff I can do myself. ---------------------------------------------------------------- ----WHAT I WOULD LIKE FROM MY PARTNER---- Basically a bit of quests, and npcs. I would give you completed project, and you would work your end of the project, and then release it, with both our names on it. Simple quests, and Simple NPCs. Perhaps also creative input on the storytelling, or just a tech guy, who lets me do all the story, and you just make it all happen. Here is (without giving away my whole idea) the basics of my current project. ----------------------------------------------------------------- At first I imagine when you fist escape from Helgen, upon getting your quest to go to Riverwood, you would also get a "Vision" from.... someone, maybe a god. This vision, would begin a quest, to "follow the voice" or whatever, leading you to the estate. (For now lets just say "Dovahome") When you arrive, I would like a simple pet dog, "or fox!" in the kennel, and a caretaker. This caretaker, I will of course have a story for, yada yada, so basically, besides the lore, I would want her to mind her own business, and move about the yard, the home, and all that. So now we have a basic quest to lead you here. 2 NPCs, a simple pet (easy), and a house lady, with much more extensive AI packages (a bit harder) And that is my basic wishes to start. -------------------------------------------------------------------- IF it turns out to be awesome, and we decide to add more quests, more lore, and whatever, then I would be down with that also! OK well I hope to get some offers! -------------------------------------------------------------------- P.S. Although I'm not a pro modder, I do my homework. I do not produce garbage. Because I am a perfectionist, please only offer to work with me, if you have also done your homework. If you are amateur, and code a buggy quest, it would cheapen my home, PLZ DONT! LOL

I was thinking about ways to make the MQ longer, before you actually go fight your first dragon at the tower. Here is a sweet idea I came up with! ---------------------------- Right about when you receive the "Stone Tablet" from Bleak Falls Barrow, you would have a vision of the greybeards, or perhaps "Hear" them speak to you. This would begin a new quest chain, that is a prerequisite for the first dragon to attack the watchtower. ---- Normally, you return the Stone Tablet to Farengar, and it triggers someone to run in, and report the dragon attack on the watchtower. However with this new quest chain, presented by the "vision" the attack on the tower would require not only you return the tablet, but another item. This "other item" would be obtained through completing the new quest chain, and of course should be delivered to someone "In Dragons Reach" since you need to be there, to see the tower attack dialogue. ---- Now as for what the vision says, or what these quests are, that could go a lot of ways. But I think my idea for placement, would be pretty easy to implement, and leave it open for some new lore.

I have two wishes here. One, is that I can see on my screen, my followers health, and possibly stamina/magic. Two, I would REALLY like a key that makes followers drop combat, and just follow. If I decide to run from a fight, I'm tired of followers just staying there swinging.

YES! I got it. I'm now looking at one master file, including all DLC. TYVM! Cheers.

HAHA TY See, this is what I mean by lack of basic tech stuff. Now that you showed me EXACTLY what to do, I think were moving forward. Ill go do this now. TY

That quest sounds EPIC :) As far as other NPCs, Ill throw some quick ideas. Karine: A young darkelf female (sexy haha) with curly black hair. Raised in an orphanage, she is small, but tough, and respected my the locals. Known as a brave fighter on her own, but also has her charms worked on o few of the "infamous" locals. Although she is a diamond in the rough, who any man would wed, she prefers being self sufficient, and keeping men at a distance. She runs a cart near the docks, selling whatever she can to make means, and lives in a small home, or apartment / whatever. Although she sells anything you can out a price on, she is most well known for her variety of alchemy ingredients. She prides herself on knowing "secret caves" where she goes picking. She is very bluntly spoken at first, and does not easily show gestures of trust, but once you get to know her, she is quite funny, and very adventurous. Perhaps some romance? Anyways, she could be a good npc, to add lore, quests, and some feminine vibe.

SResourceArchiveList2 You must add official DLC BSA files to this line or the CK will still not work. This is where I'm at. When you say add bsa files to this line. How do I add them? I tried like... a few ways lol, or simply writing them, but I'm missing something. TY
-
Yay found it! It is in the long list, (made longer by messes of mod files) and is not labled a ini file. It is an ini, it just is not named that. Anyways, now let me try and do this right. Now that I even founf the file lol. Slow but steady I tell ya. Peace, and TYVM! if I wasn't poor, I'd mail u a cigar!
-
Yes I got it from Steam, and use it a lot. What your saying makes perfect sense... Let me try and find the damn file, it must be right here somewhere. Thanks again, and ill repost what happens.
-
Well, I think it sounds simple, but I cannot find SkyrimEditor.ini I'm assuming it is a notepad type file, that I just add the lines to right? If I type ".ini" in the search box it finds some of these notepad type files for SKyrim SkrimPrefs Skyrim Skyrim_Default But nothing called SkyrimEditor.ini :(

LOL as far as Caveman speak goes, I know so little about modding, and techy stuff in general. I'm just a little smarter than your average bear, and have nothing but free time. So basically, the small bit of CK I do understand, I pick up some lingo, and almost sound knowledgeable. But it's a farce! lol However I do see in time, myself getting real good at this stuff. So tyvm for you guys help! I am currently reading above info, and going to do it up. I'm feeling ready to begin my main files!

Oh, and how about a few escort type quests? I normally play without a follower, but quests that involve a follower, (for example when you first meet Esbern) I have always liked. Even though I play solo, I find in these forced moments of teamwork, I enjoy the temporary followers a lot.

Epic, I'm excited about this one. Can't wait to hear progress reports.

LE Cool Grass Idea, Just Curious.
Oracleofmoons replied to Oracleofmoons's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Um, yeah, I'm pretty sure the grass has no collision surface, or actor type deal, that moves. If a deer in in the grass, the grass goes right through the body. There is no "pushed down" grass where it lay. -
I'm doing some modding of the races, and among other things, I would like to make the "once a day" powers, have a shorter CD. One option I imagine is to change them from powers, into another type of ability... I'm not sure. Anyone who has done this themselves, plz throw some tips. Peace, and TY.

Need Help with Spell Talent Option
Oracleofmoons replied to Oracleofmoons's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Oh, as I sit here, it occurs perhaps I should dupe the Novice perk for my 2nd and 3rd tier, and ignore the other perks entirely. I will give this a try. -
Ya, they are mysterious Bigfoot files, that you can find multiple references to, but the files themselves are nowhere to be found. D:
-
In the vanilla game, you have Novice followed by Apprentice I believe, but anyways then you have the correlating talents, that reduce those level of spell by 50% Example, "Reduce cost of all Novice Destruction Spells, by 50%" I just tried to reroll it, so they are stacking talents, like this "Reduces Cost of ALL Destruction Spells, by 20%" 1/3 "Reduces Cost of ALL Destruction Spells, by 40%" 2/3 "Reduces Cost of ALL Destruction Spells, by 60%" 3/3 My first attempt was a failure. It looked cool, and all seemed to work, but the actual effect, when tested, gave the base 20%, and nothing more. When I chose the other two points, it lit up, and once again, "looked" like it worked, but resulted in the same 20% reduction, (even when I made the value 40% & 60%) Any tips on what to do here? Please, and TY.

I personally imagine this being a bit difficult, and probably not worth the effort, lol although I will ask simply out of curiosity, and perhaps spark an informative debate. Is it possible, to make grass move, and compress, under an actor, or dead body. So a dead body, or person crouched in the grass, would smash that area down, only as long as it remained, then the grass pops back up. As said above, it is probably a lot of work, for something small, but some real tech wizard may get excited about the idea. Peace, and Good Day!
