  1. I had no idea the server costs were THAT high. Hopefully I'll be able to shove a wad of cash in your face soon ;) I agree with dgs012, I've been here since 2006 I think and never noticed any major site problems beyond a couple of blackouts or DDOS. The only problem I have currently is that I'll occasionally get a 502 Bad Gateway error, but a refresh typically slaps that away.
  2. Hearing about this made my day. It's nice to see a known developer of top-shelf games come out and officially partner with the mod community! Who knows, maybe someday the guy with the money will start to listen to us?
  3. Sorry in advance for any mistakes, I'm used to doing long typing on a tiny laptop keyboard. This is my first mod request, and I'm not even sure if this is possible but it can't hurt to ask, right? I was wondering if it would be possible to make the staff animations into two-handed ones, somewhat like a rifle or crossbow- We have spells that summon arrows, and the Dwemer Rifle mod actually shoots bullets, but the staff animations look silly to me. I figured if somebody got these animations done, it might open up the way for more Dwemer stuff, crossbows, etc. I don't know if this will work correctly with the dual wielding system, and I'm pretty new to posting on these forums, and I don't have any picture to post, but I'll do my best to describe them. *Idle/hold animations: Holding the staff at the hip or up at an angle across the torso- akin to holding a hunting rifle or other non-pistol-grip weapon. Think of the animations from Oblivion, but, you know, not so stiff and awkward looking... *Charge/ready animations: Bring the weapon up to your shoulder, or bring it down to your hip ala Scarface. Personally I'd prefer shoulder aiming, but some kinds of crossbows had to be fired from the hip (like the Chu Ko Nu) *Fire: A little or a lot of recoil, of course. Maybe a little bit or just some hand shake if you're doing this with crossbows in mind. It would probably make the regular staffs look dumb, but then again the destruction staff is a golden stick with a dragon head on the end... Like I said, I'm not sure if this is possible- I figure if it is at all, then you would have to wield only the staff, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make- I know from experience that spell idles override most if not all other animations, but maybe if it would work with offhand melee.... Have a detachable bayonet? Sorry for being long-winded for something that sounds kind of simple. To anybody who's interested in doing this or just telling me it's not possible, please have a little patience if I don't respond soon; Our only Skyrim-worthy computer is shared by all in the house. EDIT: If rifle animations don't sound possible, what with the dual-wield system and staffs being hardcoded(?) as one-handed, some cowboy- or pirate-style 1-handed pistol animations would also be wonderful. Something along the lines of Red Dead Redemption or Fable 2, with the gun being held upwards, bent-elbowed, next to the face. Maybe the fire animation could have a small amount of recoil instead of a large amount, that way the vanilla staffs wouldn't look as weird as they would with rifle-stances. If either of these sound possible and worthy, PM me or post here and I will do my best to either: 1. email or pm you some pics for reference 2. give you some search terms to look for (I tried searching "rifle stance" and so on- not as many results as I would prefer)
  4. Every time I use an animal companion (Rex, Dogmeat-mod, Deathclaw-mod, etc.) they will randomly sit down and refuse to follow me. If I'm lucky, I'll notice soon enough to find them. I've found that Phalanx fixes Rex, but I've found nothing to improve mod-dog reliability. If anybody could help, that'd be great- It's just not Fallout without good ol' Dogmeat!
