Body Slide ported over from Skyrim would be my suggestion. That way we don't have the issues we did with Skyrim, FO3 and NV with armours working with one body and not another. Also with Body Slide we could have one really high quality and customisable body that is well UV mapped and skinned for animation so that we don't end up with 8 different bodies to suit every ones taste. In terms of quality I mean something along the lines of "Genesis 4 female" from Daz3D in terms of detail. That product can go from a 22 year old super model, to a disfigured 89 year old to a 15 year old teenager girl with all different proportions for each. Speaking of animation, FNIS would be good as well. Also having a body that doesn't deform as much when moving as skyrims bodies had issues where the mesh would collapse when making certain movements, esp anything that required an arm to lift as the arm moved and not the shoulder.

Valve/Bethesda announce paid modding for Skyrim, more games to follow
galenwolf replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
something I have just noticed, skyrims update has changed now so you can't skip any updates. I wouldn't be surprised if Beth decided to disable non-workshop modding. -
Jesse Cox has put up a video about it, giving his thoughts on what he saw in the Alpha, if he what he says is true, it sounds interesting but considering this is alpha, anything is up for grabs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLp0ykvotEI&feature=g-u-u However its still an MMO, the whole "oh look I get to kill the same dragon 20 times" is a problem I am going to have and its a problem I have with every MMO.

I have to agree, expanding marriage would be a great addition. I also second the request for a kissing mod. I was going to make my own thread about this subject but since you have mentioned it here I'll agree in this thread about my request for it as well. However I would also like to add, if someone was to take up the request, then add in different styles. Something like kissing the hand, french kissing, a quick peck etc.

My request is simple in scope but I think it might be a little hard to script. What I'm looking for is when I have multiple followers, right now I have 3, we move more as a group rather than the PC and a follower train. if you think back to Baldurs Gate where you have people walking in 2 lines horizontal or vertical that is what im looking for. Does anyone here think that is possible?

I'll be honest its not just gamer girls, its everyone. X-Box live has certain games that just draws in the idiots that have no verbal or social skills and due to anon state of the net just let loose with all their vile core. Reddit could have a subreddit just for x-box live messages that feature racism, bigottry, homophobia, and general abuse and their server's HDD array would be full in around 2 seconds. I recieved torrents of abuse in the past just because im British. Oh yes, and I forgot. People telling me I am gay and I should set myself on fire and throw myself off a bridge because I play Alliance in WoW. It got so bad Blizzard actually tried to force everyone to use their real names, but the player base reacted rather badly to this suggestion, mostly because one of blizzards community managers gave out his name to prove the playerbases fear of privacy where unfounded, and then someone dug up all his information including the address and phone number of his parents.

So today whilst looking at my youtube subs I found a video that covers what is known about TES Online. Link After listening to that, I do have some major concerns about this MMO. The graphics are not the best i've seen from an MMO and the engine they are using isn't the best either. Whilst the graphics are a small concern, the later concerns revolves around the combat, and with that I have 2 major concerns. My first major concern is the fact this game will be following the same formula that most traditional MMOs use for combat. It is going to be based on a locked on targetting system (where you select the enemy) and then press a number of keybound action buttons and use stats and calculations to resolve combat. That is a huge issue because the most current crop of MMOs - Tera and Guild Wars 2 - are moving away from traditional combat models of MMOs to a more active targetting action based combat. With the new MMOs to dodge an attack you don't stack a dodge stat, you have to actually dodge the attack, aiming also requires you to actively alter your aim, and if you accidentally pull another monster by accident, you don't need to tab target them and stun them, you just point and fire. Having used both systems, I find the new system a lot more fun, its more interactive and better paced. Take for example my hunter (WoW) and archer (Tera). To aim with my hunter, I just ensure I have the target selected and then mash my ability bar. Even if the monster moves to the left or right my arrow acts like a homing missile and alters course to hit the monster. The size of the monster also makes no difference, it can be the size of a bus and if my attack roll misses, I miss. In Tera if I have to deal with a fast moving monster, then I have a problem because I have to alter my aim to account for the movement, and the size of that particular monster. Tera also allows me to dodge an attack properly. In WoW you can against player characters run behind them, but with NPCs they turn to follow you normally and whilst it does mean you can avoid an attack or two you mostly rely on your dodge stat. In Tera, to avoid a melee swing, I just back off or side step. My second major concern is the fact according to the video (and the man in it is usually pretty accurate with his info) there are not going to be the multitude of abilties like there is in WoW. Classes in WoW that do not have to juggle abilites get boring very quickly. In Tera and Guild Wars 2 the smaller ability set isn't a problem since its action based, you do not want 20 keybindings. I feel that the traditional combat style with smaller ability set is going to make the combat rather boring with Tes Online, and to be honest TES Online should really be using the new combat model. Now, what I like. Well first off all there is the questing. From what I understand there will be no quest log, at all. Which as "TB" explains in his video is nothing more than a shopping list. Instead you will happen across quests by over hearing guards talking, finding a dead body with foot prints leading off into a mine, you might loot a book that talks about an ancient artifact that leads onto you completing quests just trying to find the artifact. This sounds much MUCH more natural than the big yellow ! you get in current MMOs. It also means no more quest hubs which will be a good thing as well. The second thing I like is the fact due to the lack of the traditional quest giver, all the NPCs will be voice acted, SWTOR took the lead with that, and it worked very well - even if they did use quest givers. Going back to reading text in other MMOs was rather painful since the added voice acting adds to the immersion and over all feel of the MMO, it gives the NPC emotion.

With the release of John Carter, I went back to read my comics of Warlord of Mars, Princess of Mars and Dejah Thoris and I realised it would be cool to get the outfit of Dejah into Skyrim. Does anyone want to have a go? If you search on deviant art for Adam Hughes, J Scott Campbell, SquirrelShaver and PaulRenaud you see the type of outfit i'm looking at. http://paulrenaud.deviantart.com/ http://squirrelshaver.deviantart.com/ http://bakanekonei.deviantart.com/ http://adamhughes.deviantart.com If possible it should be made for CBBE v3 or CHSBHC (or both!) with physics enabled.

I was wondering if it would be possible to add in some death animations to compliment the ragdoll. A lot of times, if I don't get a kill cam kill the killing blow lands someone from alive to instantly dead but this doesn't seem that realisitic. Take for example killing someone with an arrow to the chest. Whilst the person will be dying pretty quickly, the body doesn't instantly go limp and die. The person would grab at the arrow and then fall down to their knees and then keel over. Do you think its possible or is this a feature that would have to be requested from bethedsa?

Did you try to use TUTO? (assuming that you have BG2). The resolution for the unmodded BG1 is indeed horrible by todays standards, but the graphics in BG2 is managable imo. I was just about to mention that. There is also one for Planescape Torment (goes looks it up) Ah I found something better The GoG Planescape Mods Guide. I think I'm going to play that one again. It is still the best RPG (story wise) I have ever played.

So I just heard some news.... BaldursGate.com is back online with a new (old) shiny high rez Baldurs Gate Logo with the theme blasting out. It has been reported on Escapist Magazine as well as on Kotaku. gamebanshee.com has also reported that the people over at Beamdog confirmed it isn't anything to do with the steam release of the BG series. When looking at the source code the following appears: <!-- February 28, 2012 --> <!-- Shadowy Figure- Raise Dead : Infinity Engine --> <!-- For years, I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory. --> <!-- And then... it returned. Better than it was before. --> <!-- Pore over the tapestries and works of art hanging from our walls if you wish, Child of Bhaal... perhaps you will find a clue. But patience, ah... patience would reveal it all. --> <!-- As the silver moon waxes and wanes, so too does life. --> This was me when I saw it: :psyduck: I'm hoping for a HD remake.

I have to admit, I like the idea of those categories. Much better to do it now as well with there not being too many files up yet. I especially like separating vanilla and new content.

edit: the description should have read "No matter the situation the actors just stand and talk, no emotion with body language is given." but I ran out of room. This is really my only gripe about the game, I loving it in every other aspect. In Oblivion my major problem was NPCs. Because of the lack of VAs in the game you ended up very lack luster voice performances, they lacked emotional depth and if two male nords where speaking to each other you'd think it was one guy arguing with himself if you closed your eyes. Worse still they would just stand there and not move, they looked like talking heads on top of manikins. Where as in other games if someone was angry they might end up taking their anger out on innocent items on their desks etc, in Oblivion the people just stood there. Now with Skyrim the hugely increased voice acting talent has improved the voice acting a hundred times over, however the manikin problem is still there. There is no body language to translate the now emotive voice with movement. You might get a scene where you come across two people arguing, they sound like they are arguing but they are not moving like they are arguing. If you have someone come up to you in fear for their lives, they stand there calmly whilst screaming "HELP I'M GOING TO DIE!" rather than grabbing you for dear life. I might have been spoilt with games like Mass Effect, but in that game when someone was angry, you could tell. Same with people who where scared, confident, nervous etc. Aria in Afterlife is a prime example, she just exuded confidence of someone who was in charge and they knew everyone feared and respected them. Garrus was another, I could look at him and think "he's about ready to shot someone", I can't do that with Skyrim. What annoys me the most is seems like a trivial mistake to make, especially for a company that tries to make games as immersive as possible. The much improved voice acting covers it up - a lot, especially compared to Oblivion, but I still pick it up. What does everyone else think?
