I second this, I'd like also to see an aging system, and all the mentioned features given to npcs as well, to create a really dynamic world, I would even do it myself, but let's see what capabilities the Construction set will have to offer before planning everything, and let's hope for a skyrim script extender really soon after the release of cs

  3. For your savegames going beyond 20mb and crashing this way it's to be assumed the environment you uses to mod is the real issue. I don't have a save game which fits the request, anyway it should be a clean savegame without mods. My advice for you and any other modder is to keep a clean game installation (a modder should know how to backup restore the relevant register part and create batch files to allow toggling between the modding environment and the playthrough environ). That procedure should grant two immediate advantages: 1 - be relatively sure the mod will work and be as independent as possible of external factors 2 - Allowing the test under heavily modded game installations. Of course the savegames (indeed all that fallout3 folder under (my) documents) should be included in the toggling too. Addendum: That multiple installation is possible and I had at least 3 sometime ago (albeit it was Oblivion instead Fallout3) ... One for a 1.1 patched version, another for the 1.2 and one, heavily modded environment I used to actual play and testing purposes. It's not caused from my mods, I haven't ever used placeatme command which is the cause of all problems, I always use persistence reference and moveto script, I neither use weapons that make ash piles anymore, yes they make larger the savegame, I messed up my game building my village with RTS, I used more than 300 obects among metal plates and stairs to build a floating city, but unfortunately I couldn't load savegames anymore

  6. I found in the description of my mod, Moderator Edit, before there was a link to give a kudos and a request to endorse, without link. my questions: Are those things prohibited? I remember that Dark0ne decided not to let people link to the rating and vote as file of the month, but he didn't say anything about kudos. Then the other request hadn't a link, and I thought it could add it. just to know if I missed something or there are new rules. the other question is if I can remove the line with Moderator Edit

Bitteschoen Yes, you can use an invisible activator instead of the ball and then use placeatme on that reference to spawn where the invisible activator is I have to my own support to this question actually, if you're showing something off it should be in the best conditions possible ;p I cannot talk for others but I do it because all my saves are nighttime and currently I use them only for testing mods

  13. I made a script which make an object (activator) follows the cursor on the ground. See the video to understand what exactly it does If you need this script for a mod, PM me writing what kind of mod you're making. I used Fose to compile it but it can be made also without FOSE It should work also for Oblivion

  17. I checked the scripts and noticed that my most hated bug is still bothering me (<< instead of <), I fixed it and snow all works fine, I' ve just uploaded the new version, again thank for testing
  18. Can you try to deactivate the mod, make a clean save and then reactivate it , still in winter, I know that change a variable used in the script while the script is processing can break it. Any problem with the radioactive rain plugin?

Make a mod similar to deadly reflex is a problem, that genius that is Skycaptain worked for months on scripts to make them work, and it is very hard to understand what each script does, I am a scripter myself but when I tried to look at Deadly Reflex script my brain exploded, there were a ton of scripts with a ton of variables and globals. Anyone who wish to get involved in this mod should STUDY for days the scripts to understand what they do and then start to make them for fallout. Or you could buy a copy of Fallout for Skycaptain and wait until he imports his mod :biggrin:
  20. Try to type "set gamemonth to 0", to check what's the month type "getglobalvalue gamemonth" 0 is January 11 is December I will let people choose through the settings item, just to know it works well?
  21. I've worked a lot to affect less the framerate by decreasing the number of activators from 50 to 6 for heavy rain without losin numbers of raindrops, anyway the thing most bother me is to know if the snow appears sometimes in winter
