1. Yes I agree that 3440x1440 is stressful on a 980ti with reshade and lots of mods BUT I must admit that performance is a heck of a lot better on this Special Edition, I'm not sure i'd even use ENB again as visually i'm pleased with my mods and a reshade. I was using uGrids 7 on Old Skyrim for some time without issue when I finally got my head around how to actually implement the change correctly. All the purpose of this thread was for was to share knowledge as SE is a very different beast, I'm not serious about a play through yet as i await other mods that I need for a fresh start so I'm using this time to test. Changing the detailed LOD to 21 has proven to be stable and with out a issue although I still can't get my head around the tree pop in as even with the uGridsToLoad upped (I been as far as 11) it does not fix tree pop in. Oh and one last thing that is puzzling me, I perfectly understand that upping uGrids hit's the FPS BUT whether it's 7, 9 or 11 my FPS stays the same. So for example with uGrids at default I'm at a solid (CAPPED) 60 FPS when running through the settlements outside Whiterun but when set to 7,9 or 11 it's 45 FPS, I moved to higher ground and the increased grids was obviously working but performance impact no different. Any way back to it.
2. Yeah I enjoy playing around with it as I wait for the other mods, greater numbers of cells used to make a huge difference and with the right tweaks relatively stable on Oldrim. The below link is for a uGridsToLoad 7, I tried to get it a lossless as I could.
3. Just had a play for 20 mins and all seems stable with uGrids 7 BUT performance seems to have tanked, I input the following edits in my Skyrim.ini [General] uExterior Cell Buffer=64 uGridsToLoad=7 iPreloadSizeLimit=51380224 I've gone from a solid 60 FPS to all over the place (Low of 35FPS), I'm running 90 Mods including some heavy texture mods and a ReShade so yes performance hit can be expected with uGrids increase. Oh and the resolution is 3440x1440 21:9, anyway I have a test video for uGrids 7 uploading to youtube now and i'll link when complete. System Specs Below: Intel i7-4770K CPU @ 4.20GHz 16GB DDR Corsair 1600 Mhz Acer X34 (3440x1440, 34.2")MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G 2x Crucial_CT512MX100SSD (512GB)EVGA Z97 Stinger Core 3dWindows 10
4. I find myself struggling to find information on uGridsToLoad with regards to Skyrim SE, has there been much testing\Experimenting? Using the excellent information from Sheson and brought to our attection by Darkstorne in the forum - Detailed LOD View http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/images/690/?page=1&sort=DESC&pid=0&thread_id=5010700&pUp=1 I made the following change Skyrimprefs.ini uLargeRefLODGridSize=11 <--- change this value to 21. Yes this makes a vast improvement but STILL not giving me the results I seek, I want something similar to OG Skyrim with regards to uGridsToLoad tweaks as I played at uGrids 7 (Anything higher just caused things to become strange for me). I'm about to start tweaking my uGridsToLoad using the settings from a classic thread which has tons of information on uGrids http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1274926-ugridstoload-skyrimini-comparisons-and-explanation-default-57911/ Anyway I figured it would be handy to have somewhere to share findings as after googling I cannot find much information about SE and uGrids.
5. As LordNyron said https://techraptor.net/content/skyui-not-in-the-works-for-skyrim-special-edition I believe earlier versions of SKYUI (Pre SKSE) work with SSE although its not SKYUI as we know it but a vast improvement over vanilla UI.
6. Tried the above link and it does not work because of moderation, how can it work without SKSE anyway?
7. Well I was just reading this link https://techraptor.net/content/skyui-not-in-the-works-for-skyrim-special-edition and apparently Schlangster will not be porting SKYUI! Obviuosly they have their reasons I just hope someone in the know now takes the reigns as this is a must have MOD.
8. WOW some great info above, this transition to Special Edition may not be as painful as I first thought. Cheers guys
9. Well that clears it up for me and finally makes sense. Cheers Sir
10. Well I'm struggling to understand the future with regards to Mods, I understand SSE is 64 bit as oppose to 32 bit and SKSE along with mods that work under SKSE need to be rebuilt. But what about for example texture mods that don't require SKSE? Will mods like Bijin Warmaidens and Cabals aMidianBorn series be able to be installed in their current state, or will they require rebuilding should the Mod authors even decide to rebuild? Many thanks in advance
11. Still dead in the water I have no UI mods, texture mods disabled, re created Inis and created Bethesda account and still CTD on save load.
12. Please share if you suss out roll back as my fallout auto updated but I cannot suss out roll back. I read that it's UI mods that are the cause but I have no UI mods :(
13. I'm in the same boat! My Fallout 4 auto updated to v1.5 via steam and now my save will not load. I tried disabling and renabling all mods via NMM and also removed my .inis and still it CTDs when loading saves. These updates should be promted if you ask me as now my Fallout 4 is dead as the mods appear incompatible. Sad times
14. Well after the advice in this forum and a little reading elsewhere my problem is now fixed! How I fixed it i'll explain below which some may think I went the long way (took about 45 mins) but this is something i'm learning and CBBE did infact leave behind some files (I presume was from NMM stopping responding on uninstall of CBBE) which was causing problems. I removed in following order using NMM Smile HD Female Facial Animations Eyes of Beauty Underworld Eyes Vampire Lord Retexture All my standalone followers (5 of them) Bijin Warmaidens (Complete Package) Seranaholic Seranaholic Texture Update Mature Skin V2 BETA 5 Dimonized UNP Cover Kajati Male Cover Kajati Female Skysight Male 4K Skins I then entered "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character" to find the following folders which still contained some files, bretonfemale darkelfemale female femaleorc facegendata imperialfemale redguardfemale Then I compared the folder contents with the zip files for my initial CBBE and SG female texture installs, the remaining files were in fact from my initial body textures and meshes before switching to UNP and Mature skin, so I deleted the remaining folders with their contents. I then moved to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character" to find remains of the below folders. Character Assets Facegendata I compared the contents with CBBE and SG Female to find they matched and proceeded to delete. The MODS I removed above was then re-installed using NMM in a logical order, loaded my Skyrim save game and it was fixed, no more neck seam and i'd go as far to say COMPLETELY SEAMLESS. UNP is a new thing for me but I find it much better and more realistic than CBBE, I realize it's personal preference tho and that is just my opinion. I'm a very happy man indeed and thank you all.
15. Ah thanks for info and advice, well I messaged him and he's bringing it back in the next few days. Today is a good day.
16. It might be a difference in head mesh UV and n.dds map. You should install XCE (whole pack with high res complexion and dirt textures) overwrite it with unp body + textures +RaceMenu. What I use: SG Female Texture Reneval for UNP (for makeup) Real Girls Realistic Body Texture for UNP UNPB and SeveNBase - WIP (real girls large + face map) Search nexus for matching body/face sk.dds and s.dds textures (sweat/shine, subsurface scattering). If you like smooth skin you might go for Fair Skin Complexion by HHaleyy. (pretty much invisible neck > body transition) Ps: Body mods don't affect enb settings (it's the other way around), so there's no way cbbe would damage it. You just might have cbbe/vanilla textures/meshes leftovers. Make sure everything is replaced with unp compatible mods (see above). Also with some enbs neck trasnition is more visible in certain light. Thanks for the advice i'm going to digest it and have a go now. I'm happy that textures go to "\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character" but where would I find the relevant meshes? I only ask as your comment on left over files got me thinking and NMM did stop responding when removing a skin texture mod, so I cant help but think something is left behind. Basically I deleted all the race files under character for textures and want to do the same for meshes. Hope i'm making some sense as I'm not finding it easy to explain lol. Cheers
17. Having real problems finding a texture re placer for gravestones as the vanilla look awful especially when wandering around Osmodius Windelm 4K. I used EWI65 HD Tombstones in the past but cant find it in my backup of it in my mods and cant find it on the Nexus (presume EWI took it down or whatever reason), so was wondering if anyone has recommendation of a alternative? Many thanks
18. Well just wanted to say thanks to all for advice, I removed everything CBBE and installed UNP and mature skin beta Neck seam still appears so I done some reading and tried no more bronze shine and dry skin but still no look, although not as bad. I can't help but think that CBBE has damaged something or the ENB just makes the problem more obvious as I only notice seam in certain lighting.
19. First of all thanks for the swift answer so here is my next question, say I go for UNP I just download Dimonized UNP body then install real girls realistic body? I'm just getting confused now by Bella and XP32 skeleton. Thanks once again
20. I have a neck seam problem using Mature Skin and CBBE Slim but I cant see to shift it with Texblend which is strange, and any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. I appreciate it's more than likely a fault on my end but I'm just seeking advice off anyone as I cannot suss out the problem. I installed in the following order, below the pictures i'll list my load order CBBE Slim without facepack Caliente's Vanilla Outfits for CBBE Install Mature skin texture and body for UNP CBBE ADEC Mature Skin V2 Beta 5 UNP 7BASE CBBE VANILLA I have even removed the above mods then deleted the associated texture files and re installed the above mods without success. All was installed on a clean install of all mods and game and also a new game was started, I run everything with UNBLEAK ENB. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/673/SORZpS.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/538/ozCMjZ.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/673/SORZpS.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/538/RSmmLb.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/537/ag5c0J.jpg GameMode=Skyrim Skyrim.esm=1 Update.esm=1 Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp=1 Dawnguard.esm=1 Dawnguard - Textures.esm=1 Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp=1 Dragonborn.esm=1 Dragonborn - Textures.esm=1 Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp=1 Skyrim Project Optimization - Full Version.esm=1 Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm=1 HighResTexturePack01.esp=0 HighResTexturePack02.esp=0 HighResTexturePack03.esp=0 83Willows_101BUGS_V4_HighRes.esp=1 lighterdbs.esp=1 Better Dynamic Snow.esp=1 Smoking Torches.esp=1 Babette.esp=1 BetterQuestObjectives.esp=1 KrittaKitty_horses_uniqueFrost.esp=1 Frea.esp=1 BW Ingjard.esp=1 Convenient Horses.esp=1 Differently Ebony.esp=1 Brawl Bugs CE.esp=1 NobleFemaleClothes.esp=1 SmartCast_1_0.esp=1 FCO - Follower Commentary Overhaul.esp=1 AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp=1 SkyUI.esp=1 BW Delphine.esp=1 LessIntrusiveHUD.esp=1 dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp=1 dragonpriestmasks.esp=1 BetterQuestObjectives-Dawnguard.esp=1 CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp=1 BetterQuestObjectives-AFTPatch.esp=1 Serana.esp=1 Headtracking.esp=1 Beards.esp=1 Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp=1 Immersive NPC in the dark.esp=1 CombatDramaOverhaul.esp=1 RelightingSkyrim.esp=1 AOS.esp=1 dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp=1 AOS2_EBT Patch.esp=1 Relighting Skyrim - Dawnguard.esp=1 SkyFalls + SkyMills + DG + DB.esp=1 RealisticWaterTwo.esp=1 AOS2_RealisticWaterTwo Patch.esp=1 DeadlyCombat_GiantsAIFix.esp=1 ShootingStars.esp=1 Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp=1 Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp=1 Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin.esp=1 Guard Dialogue Overhaul.esp=1 aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp=1 AMB Glass Variants Lore.esp=1 Immersive Weapons.esp=1 Aela.esp=1 Bijin Warmaidens.esp=1 SPTDiverseGuardsSkyrim.esp=1 DeadlyCombat.esp=1 SplashofRain.esp=1 Unique Uniques.esp=1 UnreadBooksGlow.esp=1 vImmersiveBeds.esp=1 Volrath - Enhanced Lights and Fixes.esp=1 Birdsofskyrim.esp=1 SDO Full-LOD - The Morthal Swamp Light.esp=1 Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp=1 Relighting Skyrim - Dragonborn.esp=1 dD-DG-DB-Immersive Creatures EBT Patch.esp=1 High Level Enemies - SIC.esp=1 ImmersiveSpells.esp=1 FireAndIceOverhaul.esp=1 DeadlySpellImpacts.esp=1 ImmersiveSpells-NoDlcDawnDragComp.esp=1 Vox Mundus.esp=1 Morwen.esp=1 MindiFollower.esp=1 Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp=1 aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp=1 AOS2_GDO Patch.esp=1 BetterQuestObjectives-AMBSkyforgePatch.esp=1 Birds.esp=1 People Have Torches.esp=1 Fantasy Soundtrack Project.esp=1 FSP - Dawnguard Edition.esp=1 FSP - Dragonborn Edition.esp=1 FSP - Unique Towns & Locations.esp=1 Dead Body Collision.esp=1 Sighne.esp=1 RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp=1 rtZuleikaFollower.esp=1 SDO Full-LOD - Waterfall Effects.esp=1 RiversideLodge.esp=1 DanarielStormbow.esp=1 Point The Way.esp=1 SMIM-Merged-All.esp=1 Farm Animals.esp=1 SDO Full-LOD - Whiterun Trundra Creeks.esp=1 DragonCombatOverhaulDragonborn.esp=1 AOS2_FIO Patch.esp=1 AOS2_DSI Patch.esp=1 dD-No Spinning Death Animation.esp=1 SDO Full-LOD - Giant Campfires.esp=1 SFO - Dragonborn.esp=1 ASIS-Dependency.esp=1 DeadlyCombat_ASIS_Patch.esp=1 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

22. Hello Well I have been playing a modded Skyrim for sometime now and love it, but I have a problem. The NPC faces are a different colour to their bodies and I cant work out why, I have done tons of research and tried editing through the creation kit. I have followed the guide below to the letter Assuming you have the creation kit, open that up. Once you got the creation kit up, click the open folder box in the top left hand corner. Select the "Skyrim.esm"(don't make it active, just put the check mark by it), then select the Apachii.esm(also just put a check by it, don't make it active". Then scroll down and find my "apachiihairstyles.esp" and set that file as active, then click OK .Click "yes to all" in the Warning box. Wait for loading to finish then open the "Object"window if not already open.Click on +box next to "Actor". scroll down to the nord race,Click on the first name in the list, hold down "Shift key and arrow down on keyboard to highlight EVERY npc in the list in the object window then press ctrl f4. It will bring up a dialogue box asking to export face gen data, select YES. After this, since there are so many files you're exporting it's going to take a minute(find something else to do while it finishes) and yes.. Your creation kit will hang, and seem to not respond, but only because it's working. When it's done it will bring up another dialogue box telling you it's done, click OK on that. Then do the very same thing for the Imperials. Once that's finished DO NOT CLOSE OUT THE CREATION KIT Navigate to your skyrim folder. Go to Data\Textures\Actors\Character\FaceGenData\Facetint\Skyrim.esm, and delete ALL files from that folder. Close out of the window Click save in the creation kit, then close out the creation kit Even after that time consuming fix i'm still without luck. I have also done as this youtube video says also without luck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOXF89QtgYM The Mods i'm using are listed below Apachii hair Apachii hair styles on npc's Apachii natural retexture less contrast Apachii natural retexture patch Cover woman look 1 Natural eyes I'm using a ton of other mods but the above are the only NPC altering ones. Here is a link to some screenshots I threw on flicker http://www.flickr.com/photos/52380110@N03/sets/72157634463061515/ Whether it's a man or woman and through various races there is the colour mismatch and it's driving me even more mad now i'm using ENB's Any help would be greatly appreciated.
