  1. Which is exactly what I do. My question is if there's an actual number or a formula based on size of load order. I write many modding guides and if there's an answer other than "try to limit the number of times you use it" I'd like to be able to provide that answer to users. Probably a question best answered by one of the developers or maybe someone who has used this feature extensively, or is familar with it. I do appreciate the response.
  2. Question for Zanderat or Picky, or Tannin, I too use the file overrides that you screen grabbed. How often or how many instances in a load order do you utilize this feature? I ask because there's a note within Vortex to limit how often you use it which I do but I guess my question is to what extent, or is there a guideline for this? I also get this question from users so a better answer would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. Modding is Reading
  4. Already my favorite thread. Thanks picky.
  5. Avrie is on the right track. I was going to ask for a better search in CK like If you want to just look at the added contents of a plugin rather than to load up xEdit. But yeah what Avrie said.
  6. I get that but I'm not asking about a game update. I was asking about Vortex updating as my current version of Vortex is 1.5.2 which has the Collections Beta. I did not want the version of Vortex with Collections. My question is did I accidentally update Vortex or was it intentionally included in updates?
  7. I usually accept the updates for Vortex but did not want to use the beta for collections yet today I noticed I'm on 1.5 and have been for a bit now. Did I miss something or was this intended for all to be on 1.5 at this point?
  8. So did I accidentally upgrade my Vortex from 1.4 to 1.5 or is it all 1.5 now?
  9. No answers? I understand why Vortex places it there but if it's not in Skyrim's root folder with the SkyrimSE.exe then the game will not launch thru SKSE64 launcher. Was working fine for me once upon a time but for the life of me I can't figure out what changed.
  10. For some reason SKSE64 will no longer install properly for me. Vortex keeps putting it here: D:\Skyrim Special Edition\skse64_2_00_19 When it belongs in the folder with the SkyrimSE.exe : D:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition
  11. Hey Tannin and all, Seems like using the "uninstall" button to remove a mod from Cyberpunk 2077 is not always removing it from my folder(s) even when I also use the "Remove" button afterwards. So is this just me or can you verify this? OR is it simply a matter of Vortex not placing the mod in the proper folder in the first place during install? The latter may be the case because in some cases where this actually happened (Vortex not installing in the proper folder) I then manually installed the mod in the proper folder(s). Thank you and forgive me if I should have opened a ticket inside Vortex, if that is the case (brainfart) I forgot how.
  12. Please fix this as I do not want to pay with paypal.
  13. Vortex is not forgetting anything for me and if you do not want Vortex to use LOOT simply turn that function off.
  14. Oh you're welcome and thank you. Loved doing it and I love Vortex. I'm on everyday so I'll try to keep up with any changes but if you guys see anything that needs changing or updating please let me know. I also wouldn't mind giving someone co-author permissions so they can make what ever changes are needed if for someone can't get a hold of me.
  15. would I use the Github link https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/releases/? ok, so far I have these 2 links https://www.nexusmods.com/about/vortex/? https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/releases/ ok, I published it so that it could be viewed. Consider this a rough draft therefore wide open to suggestions: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1977191236
  16. Thanks for the quick response Pickysaurus, I will link back to the source page. Where can I find the proper link? I currently have the quotations in place and have mentions throughout as to where info came from; example "taken directly from Vortex archives" or "taken directly from Vortex mod manager", something to that effect.
  17. I have pretty much finished the "guide" but have not published it. However I can give a member of the team access to what I have so far.
  18. Thnx rmm200, yes, that sounds good. and yes, I'm looking for a Vortex Team member as I could not find a way to email them. They do reply here do they not?
  19. Like the title says. I help many people in the Steam Forums with their modding issues when I can. However, I feel many who are confused would be better informed if they could read some basic facts about Vortex. So although this would be a short guide, much of it would be me copy and pasting from the info provided once you download Vortex. I would also be using the words "according to the Vortex Team", or "according to Vortex" followed by the copied information from Vortex.
  20. In response to post #75822968. #75827368, #75827573, #75828433 are all replies on the same post. So is anyone from Nexus going to advise by replying here on this matter/post?
  21. Oh I have not tried to log out again because when I went to settings to reset my password it would not recognize my password so after 2 tries I stopped.
  22. So I just now logged out of Nexus and when I clicked the "Log in" link I was asked if it was ok for Nexus to access my account, I said yes and clicked the log in and was immediately logged in. My question is; is that how it works?
  23. I'm a little late with my reply but I just now saw this lol. thank you and yes, I love Vortex. My current playthrough has 510 mods and it's been smooth sailing (*knock on wood).
  24. Just downloaded and installed a Nexus Mod with Vortex 2 minutes ago.
