  1. Ok, its only taken me 3 months to work it out, but finally after trial and error (mostly error) I have created and applied the correct script to attach the tiefling's tail and horns using a spell that toggles them on and off, and changes her faction. Consider this request finalised.
  2. Yes, that is exactly what I want to do, but when i try to add this script to a spell it does not activate. In fact I can't get any script to activate from using a spell, I attach them but nothing happens. I presume I am using the wrong 'on event' or wrong properties or something
  3. I have set up some horns as quest items so that they appear in the player's inventory at game start. I can also apply the following script to the horns so that they attach to the player and can't be removed: Scriptname TieflingHornsScript extends ObjectReference Actor Property PlayerREF AutoArmor Property TieflingHorns Auto Event OnContainerChanged(ObjectReference akNewContainer, ObjectReference akOldContainer) If akNewContainer == PlayerREF Game.GetPlayer() .EquipItem (TieflingHorns, true, true) EndIf EndEvent However, I would prefer to have the horns equip and unequip by using a spell that transforms my character from Human form to Tiefling form. I was hoping to create the spell so that it does several functions such as: 1. cast an effect (flash of light or smoke) to signify the change of form from human to Tiefling2. equip the horns and tail3. change faction (add to Tiefling faction when wearing horns and tail, then remove from faction when horns/tail are unequipped) I have successfully created a spell that performs step 1. I have also attached the script above to that spell to try and perform step 2, but it does not activate. Any help would be appreciated Cheers,dePog
  4. Ok, ok, ok, I admit it. I suck at papyrus. I am ready to insert the porcupine rectally. Can anybody help me with a complete scripting to permanently equip the horns tail, nails and weapon claws. Yes, I am defeated. Yes, I should be able to do it myself. Yes, the world would be a better place without people like me trying to suck up to people who can actually script. But there it is! I can't do it. If somebody can send me a fully functioning script then the porcupine will not have to suffer the indignity of exploring my lower bowel regions. Please help porcie. EDIT: after months of wrestling with papyrus I have finally created a spell that transforms my tiefling from human to tiefling form and attaches her horns, tail and other armor items so that they cannot be removed by any game event (going to jail, quests, etc). It seems the porcupine can now rest easy. :smile:

  7. Hey guys, I have been creating my Tiefling mod for months now. I thought it would just be a couple of days, lol. Anyhoo, the Tiefling character has to wear horns, tail, nails, and weapon claws. As you can appreciate, If she doesn't wear these then she is not a tiefling. However, if she gets put in jail, or does a quest like Cidhna mine where all her gear gets taken off, all her tiefling bits get removed. I have been told roughly how to do some scripting that will keep all those bits attached, but after a week or so of scratching around in papyrus I am ready to poke my eyes out with a porcupine. Has anybody got a working script that they can post so that I can leave porcupines to roam safely once again?   8. Hi guys, In Creation Kit can you turn off the automatic restoration of your health, magicka and stamina when you level. If you just want a quick way to start without the cart ride and head chopping the Dimes Quickstart mod will allow you to start the game in the last section of the cave (just before you start the journey down the road to Riverwood). The only choice you get is who it was that saved you (Ralof or Hadvar). Simple and quick.   10. Have you downloaded Nexus Mod Manager (NMM)? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/? If you used NMM to download the texture file then it will be showing on the "Mods" page. Just double click on the texture file and NMM will install it into the correct folder on your computer. Cheers, dePog

  12. Hey Wolfiecfc, Have you looked at your skin settings in showracemenu. You might have dirt turned on. Hit the tilde button ~ (it should be next to the number one button) Type "showracemenu" (don't type the quotes) Hit the tilde button again Then look at the settings for your face to see if dirt is turned on Cheers dePog
  13. I am not a skeleton modder so this answer may be off the mark, but does your current skeleton allow for weapons on your back? I know that when I want a character to sheath dual daggers on back pelvis that I have to install a skeleton that allows for it. Might be the same for your staff. I just have to have it, lol) More Dynamic Injuries - http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/5072-relz-more-dynamic-injuries/ (this gives specific damage depending on the injury. If cut you will bleed out unless you apply stitches, if hit with a heavy weapon your bones may break and you will need to apply a splint to reset your arm/leg, etc.) Player Headtracking - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23600/?   15. Hey Lokityz, I too am a Skyrim junky with 2828 hours logged up so far. I would like to fly the flag for Requiem. The first time I loaded it I thought it was waaaayyyyy too hard and removed it. I played with SkyRe for a while, but something about my experience with Requiem was nagging away at the back of my brain (or it might just have been some sort of psychological neurosis). So when Requiem was updated to be MCM based I went back to it. Now I am a Requiem junky. The game is just no challenge without it. So basically, what I am saying is, when you've played Skyrim for a while and it seems too easy, go back and try Requiem again. You might get hooked too :) Cheers, dePog

  18. Hey Guys, Wondering if anyone can help me combine all my character tweaks and turn this into a Mod. I have posted in one of the other sections, but think it was the wrong forum for this topic, so I am reposting here. The Tiefling in Neverwinter Nights was one of my favourite characters so I decided to try and make a Skyrim version. In order to make the game different she has a number of handicaps compared to the usual races in the game. Handicaps like: - She cannot access any restoration spells (no healing from spells) - All potions act as poison (no healing from potions) - Her health takes over a day (game time) to regenerate (healrate = 0.002) - She has no Stamina or Magicka regeneration unless she eats foods that supply regeneration - Her daedric father has put her in chains which stops her from wearing any armour - Because of her appearance traders charge her exhorbitant prices to buy and will not give her anything for sale items. Therefore, she has to make everything herself. However, because she is half human and half Daedra she has some extra special abilities, such as: - Her base stats are: Health = 2000, Stamina = 1000, Magicka = 300 - She can jump twice as high as a human - She starts the game with the two base Stealth perks and two of the Archery perks (zoom and stagger) - She also has the Night Vision perk She also gets bonuses from the wrist, anklet and collar chains that her father makes her wear and her horns and tail. Such as: - 40% bonus to Lockpicking - 80% bonus to Sneak - Immunity to most paralysis and draining effects - Muffle These make her a true creature of the night and shadows which is necessary because she is very vulnerable in a straight out fight (no armour and no healing ability) I play with Requiem, Frostfall, More Dynamic Injuries, and iNeed just to make the game more difficult and realistic. I have used the Creation Kit to change most of the potions into poisons and also make the Restoration perks virtually unattainable. This has completely changed the "feel" of the game. You have a lot of health and stamina to start the day, but you know you won't be able to get any top ups from potions or magic. I also have waiting turned off, plus, because More Dynamic Injuries means you could end up with extremely low blood levels and broken limbs it is imperative to carry a tent to allow you time to heal if you are badly hurt after a fight. My Tiefling uses the Lunari race as the base, then I add a tail from Mystic Tails, and horns from Angelic Halos and Demonic Horns mods. The trouble with this is that in quests like the ones at Elewens Party at the Thalmor Embassy where you get all your gear taken from you, it also takes off your horns and tail. Does anyone have any idea how to make the horns and tail permanent attachments? So my list of questions that I need help with is: 1. Can I make an esp that changes the values/characteristics of items found in other mods (Requiem, Frostfall, etc). I presume each person using my mod would previously have to load these mods that my mod depended on? 2. Is there a way to make the horns and tail a permanent fixture to the characters body? 3. Ultimately, if the above two questions are possible, is anyone interested in helping me turn Tiefling into a race? Thanks for any input you might be able to give me as to how to combine all this into a mod. She is the daughter of a Lunari girl who was unfortunate enough to be so pretty that the Daedric lord couldn't keep his hands off her, hence the arrival of a Tiefling 9 months later. When Tiefling was born with horns and a tail her mother was shunned by her family and friends and so Tiefling and her mother lived alone in the mountainous backwoods of Skyrim for 18 years until the Daedric lord heard that he had a daughter and decided to pay a visit. He was immediately smitten by his beautiful young daughter and wanted to grant her the same "favour" as her mother. However, Tiefling was understandably disgusted by the idea and would not give in to her father's inappropiate incestuous advances. Her father gave her the choice of either accepting his "love" and become his concubine, or she could have her freedom but bear her shame by being shackled around the wrists, ankles and throat as a symbol that she rightfully belongs to him. As a token of his supposed good will toward her he enchanted the chains so that she could be reminded that he "loved" his daughter. Her father also warned her that if he finds her without the shackles and wearing armour or clothes he will slay her mother without further discussion. So, two years later we find Tief (the name she calls herself) has managed to survive on her own. Ever trying to fend for herself in the wilds and (acutely aware of her naked shame) only venturing into the villages and cities when it is absolutely necessary. Cheers, dePog

There is a mod that gives you some range of different damage. http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/5072-relz-more-dynamic-injuries/ This mod makes you bleed out if you are cut, so you need to carry tourniquets and stitches. If you get hit hard your bones will break. Break a leg and it will slow your movement. Break an arm and you won't be able to wield a weapon. To fix broken bones you'll need to carry or make a splint from wood and leather strips. It also gives you burn damage from fire spells and cold damage from ice spells. Both these give effects that blur or throb your vision (simulating your pain). You'll need to carry burn and cold repair creams to treat these. This is the best mod I have seen for injuries so far.
