  1. In response to post #27188304. #27188919, #27191199, #27192944, #27193319 are all replies on the same post. Actually, he is completely right about the common core. One of the lowest grade tests left half the kids crying in misery because if they clicked a wrong button it led them to an 8th grade test. They would still try to complete it, because they thought they would get in trouble if they didn't, but they had absolutely no idea how to answer the question. In a lot of the tests it was nearly impossible to find many of the places to answer the questions. Even better, there was a question that asked you to find the comma that was in the wrong place, and EVERY SINGLE COMMA was in the wrong place. The spelling and grammar (or, as it was spelled in the test, grammer) made the test look like it was written by a Somalian 14 year old. The tests were actually only suitable for people 1 or 2 grades below the test takers, but the test takers generally had to skip 5-10 percent of the questions because they couldn't figure out where the answer box was, or the correct answer wasn't an option in the multiple choice. Then you could move on to the fact that the common core has been trying to lower the difficulty of all grades, so non-core 3th or 4th grade is the equivalent of common core 5th grade. I could quite understand why a child would ask a teacher why they were being taught so poorly. Schools should be more mentally stimulating, being as around 70% of kids are smarter than 50% of adults. Yes, that was a long-winded lecture.
  2. Wtf? You're telling him to remove the unofficial patches? And saying that the high resolution pack (which is in three parts) is three different textures? Have you even modded Skyrim before? On to the helping: I notice you do have a lot of potentially resource-heavy overhaul mods, and a lot of script-heavy mods. Script heavy mods: rnd frostfall wet and cold (You are going to have to choose between mods that increase the amount of npcs and wet and cold. No matter what your computer can handle, the skyrim engine has limits.) possibly clanking armor (it depends on how the mod creator built the mod) Potentially resource heavy mods (note the potentially. I am not 100% on these): realistic water realistic ragdoll skyrim flora overhhaul (if you have version 2) multiple mods that do the same thing can also cause quite a drain. Unstable combinations: 4 different city overhaul mods will almost guarantee a crash. I have etac, Dawn of Skyrim, and Jk's Skyrim. These all have compatibility patches for each other, but can still cause lag/freezing/crashing when put together. 3 different combat mods? That all appear to affect humanoids? You don't generally want more than 2 combat mods for the same people (I use ultimate combat and TK Combat) 2 different sound sets (sos and Fantasy). More than one will just be too much. Either they override each other (which can cause crashes) or there will be a cacophony of noises. choose a theme and stick to it. multiple mods to edit character creation. at least get showracemenu precache killer (search it on google) Barbarrosa12 was right about saying you have too many mods that do the same thing.
  3. Right off the bat I see you saying the problem only occurs on preexisting saves. It has been said countless times, by countless people, that you cannot change mods (or your load order) during a playthrough. Even if you manage to play the save after installing a new mod, your game will become much more unstable. I know of only one mod that cannot be installed from the start of your playthrough and that is Helgen Reborn. In this situation, SKSE counts as another mod. Also, changing your load order mid-game is a recipe for disaster. Of course, not having SKSE installed and not using LOOT before you started the playthrough mans it was already unstable.
  4. Nevermind, I got lucky and it started working without me using the .bat.
  5. I agree with mg88. Also, are you getting low fps before crashing? What graphics card do you have? You should also get SMPC_DB. Looking through your load order more carefully, I see a few more script-heavy mods/mods that can cause problems. Try disabling wet&cold, skytest, Frostfall, and rnd. after you sort your plugins using loot, check if it says there are any errors (on the front page, it should say errors: 0). If you're going to keep Interesting and Inconsequential npcs (both of which I use), you should probably forget about wet and cold altogether. If your game starts working after that, then you can re-enable the mods one at a time.
  6. Short Version: Disable Helgen Reborn until after you leave the cave in the beginning. Completely remove Populated cities and Lands Roads Paths from your pc (iirc the creator was banned from nexus for being a bad person and the mod may have a virus). Did you test if it crashed in multiple cities (including both walled and unwalled ones), and at different times (ex: try one of the inns, if it crashes load a save from before you slept, wait 48 or more hours, then try again. if it still crashes, try a different inn in a different town). Disable all npc mods except Interesting NPCs (3DNPC) and Inconsequential NPCs. also try disabling footprints (if all else fails). Get SMPC, but also get SMPC Overwrite Fixes. Remember to use LOOT to sort your load order. Long Version: If you have Helgen Reborn, You have to disable the esp until after you exit the cave (and alduin flies away). If you do not disable it, you will guaranteed crash before you reach Helgen. If you are ctding when leaving an inn, it generally means there is too much to load in the city. Things that can cause this are too many improvements (like JK's skyrim), too many hd textures/ a resource-burning enb, or too many npc mods (Generally though, it is a combination of all 3). The fact that it does not ctd on entering the town (you did test this with a closed city like whiterun, right?) means it probably isn't a conflict with 2 city improvement mods. If you tested it at multiple cities, at multiple times, then it isn't an event causing you to crash (either because of too many scripts, or mod conflicts over that event). Populated cities and lands road paths are widely believed to be unsafe (iirc, the creator was banned from the nexus), and I have heard (though I have not tested this myself) that footprints is script-heavy and can therefore cause crashes (if you have too many script heavy mods. I am not saying that footprints is badly made, just that Skyrim is badly made). Any more npc mods than Interesting and Inconsequential npcs is overkill (this may be causing your crash). Just a side note, you should get the SMPC patches (also get the SMPC overwrite fix from USKP). SMPC ownership has been changed to a better person (The original owner was a megalomaniac who deleted comments about bugs), so as long as you get the overwrite, they will help your game.
  7. Yeah, you definitely need to run PaMa (The PerMa patcher). The mod creator has said it's an absolute necessity, and since he's the one who made the mod, you should definitely follow his advice. If it's giving you errors, that may be because your load order's screwed up, which would probably be causing the problem with your companions. Have you used LOOT?
  8. I use Mod Organizer to manage my mods (Almost solely because it allows multiple profiles) and would like to use SUM to run my 3 skyproc patchers (Patchus Maximus, ASIS, and Automatic Variants). Sadly, Patchus Maximus is getting stuck at a certain point, and I think using the 32bitandMO.bat to run it might fix the problem. However, I am new to both MO (I have used NMM until very recently) and SUM, and am not sure how to make SUM run the .bat instead of the .jar. Can anyone explain to me how?
  9. It didn't work for me :( Thank you for trying, though. And maybe this will help someone else who's having the same problem
  10. Thanks I will try this out in a little while and see if it works
  11. I can play Skyrim at around 47 or 48 frames per second. But when I got project enb, which is supposed to have a low impact on performance, my fps drops to about 18. On performance option D I had about 23-25 fps, and on option E (Extreme Performance) I had about 28 fps. Since Project ENB is supposed to have little effect on your performance, I think it is a bug (or driver incompatibility). My specs: Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz 16 GB RAM 64-bit operating system & processer 4GB VRAM (NVIDIA GeForce GT 640) Windows 8
  12. When I got my computer that was actually pretty good. I haven't had the money to buy a new one.
  13. It appears a part of the problem was the resolution. Being as it is now at a reasonable framerate, I can do the rest of the fixing on my own. Thank you all for helping.
  14. I did get 60 frames before. I've just started having problems recently.
  15. I'm pretty sure the gpu is NVIDIA GeForce GT 640. I may be thinking of the wrong thing though. I'm not sure about how much PSU Wattage I have. I'm also not sure why this matters when I already told you my computer can run Skyrim normally, and only recently has been having problems. If you have the time, could you tell me?
  16. In the graphics adapter part it says "NVIDIA GeForce GT 640"
  17. Sorry my computer glitched out asnd posted this before I finished
  18. I am having below 30 fps on a computer that before this could get up to 60 fps. Whenever stuff is actually changing (me moving, me looking around, another person walking in front of me), my fps drops. This started shortly after I installed a few new mods, and even reinstalling my game diddn't fix it. My specs are: Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz 16 GB RAM 64-bit operating system & processer 4GB VRAM (NVIDIA GeForce GT 640) Windows 8 Even after deleting everything and downloading it again, the game still does this. Update: My mouse is also jumpy some of the time (More than it should be, even with the lower frames)
