  1. Wondering if anyone has seen a mod like this: What I want is a clothing mod (not an armor mod) like Letho's Pants. Just the pants, no shirt. What I normally do is combine Letho's Pants with Flamebringer Tattoo (slightly NSFW, so I removed the link) and Active Overlays to create a shirtless brawler who proudly sports tattoos with bits that glow brightly when he draws a weapon (or when charging up a spell, depends on the run I'm playing). But I'm doing a Nolvus run this time and wanted to use the Unarmored and Unarmed mod skills included in the mod pack to create a proper monk, so light armor is no good. The generic Ragged Trousers do the job, but they're a little too rough sewn to serve as the practical low-frills costume I have in mind. I'm gunning for "practical minimalism", not "beggar", if you follow me. I couldn't find something like that in my search queries, but I figure there's likely something buried in a clothing mod If it is part of a light ESP mod, that's my preference. I've already cut as many mods from the pack as I dare to make room for my old favorites, like Elden Sprint, SmartCast, and Mining Flames. For @kettleworks, that looks a lot like the Flat World Map Framework collection that I'm currently using in my Nolvus run. Really cool framework, but I had a devil of a time getting to work back when I tried installing it on my own: the esp files have to be at the absolute bottom of their category (light or regular), or you're stuck looking at a useless purple map screen. They've got maps for most of the major land add-on mods, like Wyrmstooth and Falskaar, so it's ideal for a big world run.
  2. I would like to find a mod of the Dragon Priest masks that don't have hoods, even if it just kinda hovers in front of the face. Every time I create a character, I end up looking through the mask mods in search of a hood texture that might almost kinda in a bad light resemble the character's equipment of choice. I'd much rather just not have the hood and use the masks as something akin to the vizard masks in Bleach. I tried to do it myself in the toolset, but my inexperience ultimately resulted in either an invisible head or an invisible mask. Has anyone seen a mod like that or know how to make one?
  3. I wish I knew how you folks did these mods without having the toolset. It's really quite amazing. But right now I'm having a hard time deciding between two mods that modify the Archmage's Robes: Hoodless Psijic Archmage Robes and Archmage Robes Armored. I would really love to combine these two mods together: the protection of light armor and the unrivaled style of the psiijic order. If I could get it to be tied to a smithing perk, that would just be the icing on the cake. Could someone tell me how I can combine these two so they don't clash? Or at least do it for me if it's easier to do than explain? I'd really appreciate it.
  4. The thought I was having was that lycanthropy would have a different effect on a dragonborn, though honestly I just thought it would be the easiest remodel option available to get to shapeshift into a dragonoid.
  5. You may want to look at Craftable Unenchanted Unique Armors and Weapons. It allows you to create your own nightingale armor and dragon priest masks. There are a lot of other ones, but nightingale armor seems the perfect light armor if you want to be a sneaky soul.
  6. I don't know if it's possible with the current assets we have for the game, but you guys always manage to go far beyond what I think is possible when it comes to modding. So here's my request: remodel the werewolf so that it has a draconic appearance rather than a lupine one, so that it's kind of a cross between a werewolf, an argonian, and a dragon. The werewolf's animations would work for a humanoid dragon, I think, and although it's a shame we don't have Shouts in shifted form, the howls all seem to be rather appropriate to dragons as well. The other, more long-shot, part of the request is for wings. A dragonborn should at least have some level of draconic features besides being able to yell at people. Some draconic wings similar to those made for Oblivion would really be a nice bonus.
  7. Yeah, that's the one. Didn't realize it until I saw the second upgrade, which has the colored musculature. Thanks for pointing it out for me.
  8. When Old World Blues first came out, I found a retexture mod for the Stealth Suit Mk II that was really quite impressive. It was mainly black, but had some red musculature in the shoulders and red bands on both forearms. I thought it looked awesome, but I also thought that SS2 was more than a little annoying, so I didn't really keep track of it when reloaded an old Data folder and rebuilt for another game. I can't find that mod anymore - all the ones left are either dull black, retextured original, or garish neon. Does anyone know the mod I'm talking about? I'd love to find it again if I could.
  9. No dice. I reinstalled the game with only Darnified UI (my ini file makes the game crash without it) and Roberts Male v4, and it does still do it. Using a body replacement (any variety other than vanilla, it would seem), take your characters shirt off and throw a few punches in first person. The first few will go fine, but after that the body starts jumping in front of the camera. EDIT: I have to think part of the reason this never comes up is the fact that hand-to-hand combat is so weak in the vanilla game that it's never really given proper consideration in the first place.
  10. That is excellent news. I will rebuild my data folder using a backup copy, see if I can't get it to work right. Thank you for your answer.
  11. Not intentionally, but there is one in the 1st person folder. I believe it came with the EyeCandy female model. I tried removing it (putting a junk character at the beginning of the name), but I didn't see any change. I also installed the Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeleton, but I don't remember that having a 1st person element and tried disabling that as well. Anyway, can I take from your post that this is not something you see on your games? If I could get confirmation that someone else can use custom body models without them rendering in 1st person, that would at least give me a clue what I'm doing wrong.
  12. I posted a couple of days ago in the general category, mentioning that I didn't know why a portion of my character's neck was being rendered in first person (and thus blocking the camera during certain frames of unarmed attacks). I've continued to experiment with it since, and come to the conclusion that it's an issue with Roberts body replacer. It also effects the EyeCandy line of female bodies as well. The torsos of the upper bodies are being rendered in 1st person and clothes made off of those body types do the same thing wherever they display the original model's skin (such as the neck (clavicles) on kafei's elegant vests). I confirmed this by adding Roberts-modeled versions of vanilla clothing: the sackcloth shirt you start in wasn't a problem until I added the Roberts-style mesh. Is there any way I can fix this? I know nothing about modeling, but I can't imagine giving up the improved models Roberts created or the clothes created for it and yet I'll have to in order to play the fist-fighting brawler I wish to. I'm no good at anything artistic, but I'm pretty good with tools if I need then, so if you could just tell me what variable to add/alter and where, that'd be a great help. Please help if you can. I was really looking forward to this character, but this neck issue is going to kill it before it even began.

  14. Yeah, it's pretty much just something for my own interests. I'm pretty good at adapting existing material to my purposes, but I'm crap at models and textures and animations and most of the other building blocks of modding. As such, everything I do is derivative, and so I keep it to myself unless I really hit a problem, such as this one. By the way, I went to TESAlliance and got the mod you mentioned, but the only animations it has are for kicks.
  15. To celebrate the upcoming release of Skyrim and just generally blow off steam, I wanted to build a new data folder for a new character (I keep copied the data folder once I installed the game, patches, dlcs and expansion. That way I just have to swap in data folders to play different configurations without having to worry about unnecessary mods and files). I know what I wanna do, I have the mods to do it, but I can not get the animations to do it style. The key is a mod that lets you deliver touch spells via unarmed attacks. So the idea was to create a mage/monk who's preferred means of fighting is to pummel people into submission, using touch spells as unarmed techniques (disintigrate weapons: "Eagle Claw", paralyze: "Paralyzing Palm", shock damage: "Oblivion Buster", etc), creating a style akin to Jade Empire or Dragon Ball. The whole thing works quite nicely, but the animations are a problem. If any of you kind souls have seen something like this or have a suggestion, I'd appreciate it. First off, I'm not entirely sure why, but the shoulders and upper third of the character's chest are visible (off camera, but visible in TFC mode) in 1st person. This means that whenever a punch makes the character lean forward, it makes this section of the character clip with the camera, briefly filling the screen with a skin-toned blob. I have no idea why this portion of flesh is appearing, even when wearing a robe or shirt, but it will kill the immersion when I start playing if I don't kill the problem first. Secondly, I cannot find a good animation set for an unarmed fighter. I'm not looking for a monk as much as a brawler style, but I can't find any that work right of either variety. And I'm not talking about the kicks, as I know why those aren't showing up in 1st person, but the animations keep bouncing around, both in regards to camera height and stance. I've tried both with the Coronerras skeleton and without and none of the animation mods I've seen (excluding Seph's, because it only adds kicks) operate smoothly. I'm not using Deadly Reflex or Unnecessary Violence at this point, as they don't seem to offer much to an unarmed fighter, so that's not the problem. Frankly, I'd be happy with the vanilla animations if I could just get that darn bit of chest to stay the heck away from the camera. Finally, I still have to work out how to make legs visible for kicks. I'm a neophyte at best when it comes to mesh modification, so I'm finding it tricky. I know the mod suggested by DR, but I don't want to loose my rings - I used the spiked knuckle meshes from Claws and Monk Gear and like the effect having them adds. I'm also still trying to find some decent pants beyond the blacksmith pants to fight in, either modded or vanilla. Or some decent black boots for that matter. Anyway, that's my situation. If anyone has an idea on how I can make this work, I would appreciate it. If you're interested, here's the build I have: Race: Ravain (Modified Classic Witcher, rebalanced to use Breton stats/abilities) Body: Roberts Clothing: Tailored Black Vest (Elegant Vests), Fingerless Gloves (DMC Dante Clothes), Spiked Knuckle rings x2 (Claws and Monk Gear), Blacksmith's Pants, and Gold-trimmed Shoes. Major System Mods: Enchanted Hand to Hand, Midas Magic Companions: Rhianna, Vilja
