@showler : well, actually, considering Vortex is my mod manager, yeah, I'm better off launching my game with it, to make sure that SKSE, dependent stuff, and mods are loaded correctly. You said it yourself : having tons of mods can be risky : so better having them load properly. And indeed, it does suck up some resources, but not that much on my machine.

@showler Well, since my game is modded (1 201 and still going), yeah, I start it via Vortex's tool that was exactly made for that. And modding your game daily is not an issue if you know what you're doing. With time and experience, you know what you can do, and what you can't. I've been doing it since forever, and yeah, I've scrapped old games in the beginning, but not anymore. Good to know that a fix is coming tough, but still a bother.

Same goes here, and it's stupid. I have to close Vortex and re-open it, and then the download works. I used to keep my Vortex open all the time, because I play Skyrim daily (and almost mod it daily too). But since last update, cannot. I have to close it, restart, and then it works... I mean why ? I've been doing this for years... Useless modification really.

Didn't noticed after which update it stopped working but... Turning off "Run as Administrator" worked out, thanks ! :cool:

Awwww, I thought we had to use Vortex... Thought it was the way NMM was working also, meh, my bad ! Just strange Vortex can't start the game anymore thought : I didn't changed Fallout's path... Meh.

Ok : how do I change the shortcut to Fallout 4 in Vortex ? (Because I need to run via Vortex to have my mods running, right ?)

I'm not using F4SE : I know I'm missing on some great mods, but I don't want to make updates everytime Bethesda's doing un update. (Yeah, I'm that lazy... ;) )

Start a new thread instead of hopping onto an old one. You'll probably get more help that way. Yeah, you're right : just did that ! I was looking for some post with similar issue... ;)

Greetings fellow players, I'm having an issue as of today : Fallout 4 ain't starting. Didn't installed new mods or updated anything : it just won't start the game. Anyone else just got that issue ? (And yes, I rebooted, Steam is running, and yada-yada. :wink: ) Even tried the game from steam directly : it's working. Weird, never had that issue before. PS : can't try Vortex with any other games, since it's the only game I'm modding, but every other games are working on my PC as usual. PS2 : Oh, and I have no error message whatsoever If anyone got a cue, I'm open, thanks !!

In response to post #36144840. #36150710 is also a reply to the same post. Tried it, still crashing at startup : movie starts and them , BAM !, CTD. Guess something is conflicting since update.

Putting the Survival Beta aside : am I the only one to CTD at startup since last update ? Can't figure which mod (or mods) is now incompatible with it. The only way for me to play now is to switch to Beta : it gets my mods off and I can play... but I'm not interested in the survival type. It shucks. :(

A call to cloth modders out there : I was wondering if anyone ever worked on a wispmother-like set of clothing for females... That'd look awesome on my frost mage. :wub:

Been premium for a while now and like what's done here on the Nexus ! If we need some money for the servers, as a sniperdoc said, maybe a Kickstarter could help, and keep us free from investors. Thanks again for all the good work for our community of gamers !
