  1. MO2 also just to note, tends to hang less when installing very large files. NMM still sometimes hangs hard or crashes when using very large texture overhauls for example. Long story short: NMM: Easier to learn, and doesn't require any extra launcher setups (For SKSE64 etc) MO2: More stable and more clean, but requires a couple more steps. You could just wait for Vortex, it's being made by the guy who made MO2.
  2. have you tried using this oldrim mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29450 I am pretty sure I had that working, that or I got the swf elsewhere. I don't remember. It was a year ago.
  3. Nothing that changes the game quite like that, if you want the gameplay changes that make it more harsh and IF you do not mind Oldrim: Requiem+Frostfall+Needs Mod+Something that makes food more scarce. A combat overhaul and a dodge mod is wise as well, but will require tweaking in game to make it work well with Requiem. If you want to add more depth, Something like Skysouls and Living takes time would add more depth.
  4. If you uninstall all the mods you have in NMM, you may not need to re-install. It doesn't hurt. If you want to use the same mods, go to NMM's mod folder and move them somewhere handy and you can import them easily into MO2 with the "import from file" button on the top bar. When you do uninstall NMM, i suggest using CCleaner to remove any leftover files after you grab the mods you want to reduce the chance of it misbehaving when you install it again as it can be fickle. Another note: Install MO2 on the same drive you install the game, it's more stable and more fast that way. Regardless MO2 is more stable, and it's multiple profile setup works amazing if you want different sets of mods for different characters, so you can for example, not have magic and stealth mods clogging up your game if you are playing as a fighter. I typically have 3 Profiles: Magic, Fighter, and Stealth.
  5. I am starting making my first home mod for TES:Skyrim, I did stuff in the old days before the death of gamespy for Morrowind, and whatnot, so I am not 100% new to this, but I would like imput on ideas. I saw there was a mod alike this for Oldrim, but it's a tad small for my tastes, and although it is fantastic, I feel more can be done. He made a home, I want to make a grand sanctum. I plan already to: Use the extending hallways for hidden rooms, Having more than one chapter, (More details down below) Making the area around the acessable areas feel and look "filled" Having some non-hostile Seekers patroling, Having you gain it only after the main Dragonborn quest. Spouse support? The Chapters I had planned are: Chapter I: Housing, (Bedroom, hearthfire kitchen, follower rooms) Chapter II Crafting (Garden perhaps? Staff enchanting for sure) Chapter III Black Library+Trophies. (Possible support for Undeath's book in one version) Chapter IV: Warp room? likely to key cities and key locations (Dawnguard locations, soul cairn, and so on) I want ideas, I want to make the place as animated and dynamic as possible, while making it still practical enough to enjoy. I do plan to take my time on this and make it fantastic, not a slap dash quick room with some furnishings, I want to make it look amazing.
  6. Personally I see disabling the console as a good move. Having a magical button that makes it easier looming over your head as you do something difficult removes something for me. I will likely use mods with it to round out the features once it comes out of beta, but likely would try hard to keep within balance the whole way.
  7. Seems like we hit the same snags save a few minor details. I will have to just wait till the CK comes out or someone more experienced takes a crack at it. I haven't done much serious modding sense Morrowind.
  8. I don't know if this is possible without the geck but I have been yearning for a mod that replaces the pip-boy with the hud interface you use while in power armour. I tried to figure out how to change it myself but I have had ZERO luck.
  9. I have no idea If it is possible or not as I have heard nothing about it being possible, or impossible, can someone enlighten me? I just enjoy touch interfaces with top down games and whatnot.
