I made some mods. I asked for help on forum and my mods discussion boards and usually hear nothing. As soon as someone wants me to add a mod or change something to a mod I already made you bit I hear plenty. I'm still new to modding so it takes me longer to do things and even longer to figure out mod issues. I finally said forget it months ago and haven't been back till now. I just came to see what news is out there about creation kit and DLC's, now I'm going back to my life and if I ever do make mods more mods I'll be a little more inclined to keep them to myself.
  2. I'd have to agree. That would seem to be the easiest fix, though hopefully you wouldn't have lost too much time.
  3. I'm still a bit new to this, but I usually uninstall the old and upload the new. Making sure that the new has the same load order as the old, which I believe is very important.
  4. yes settings are fine. The only issue I have had with my screen is not being able to see the whole hud when I'm in Power Armor. Is there a setting you recommend?
  5. The issue is probably Settlement Keywords. It just happened to me a few hrs ago when I updated a mod that now requires settlement keywords.
  6. I just had the same issue today when I updated my mod Pro Farming. I entered my chem station and many items have been moved around including missing a category/tab. SK sounded like a good idea, but it seems it would require every single mod on the nexus to go through it otherwise we'll have problems. Bethesda has to be the one to fix this issue (or CK?). luckily the either still had the old mod so I'm going to get rid of keywords mod and use the old version of Pro Farming until it's fixed.

I don't understand how could something like my resolution effect only one thing in the game like CTD when I go into this specific tab in the chem station and not everything like when ever I try to craft anything? The crash is only happening when I scroll down the tab/category I created not every time I try to craft anything else. I'm going to check anyway. Did your friend get a chance to look at it?
  8. I'm just happy to get any reply. This is my second attempt to get help in the forums and my first time getting any kind of reply. I'm sure it's something little and silly that I missed up on. I had spent 1 week (morning till night) making it. It's the largest and most complex mod I have mad so far, I was bound to screw up somewhere. Thanks for trying !! :laugh:
  9. I'm sorry I wasn't clear, I didn't mean it came from Bethesda but that people used them in the past Bethesda games. Yes, your right on the name, it had escaped me as I was writing my first reply. Thank you. :laugh:
  10. Past Bethesda games eventually had something called a Bashpatch (I believe that was the name) which did just that. Not sure if it can be used for FO4 mods. Might want to wait for that tool or as last person said for at least the CK to come out. Right now the T5edit is a work in progress since they don't even know what all the code does. They are also waiting for the GECK to fill in the rest, is my understanding,
  11. Here are the pics with the formID of my latest attempt to fix it. Not sure if you also need everything on each item on the right side as well. Here I added misc_ and co_misc to all and it seemed to help a little in that it took longer to crash. Now it seems to happen when quickly scrolling up and down the new tab I created in the Chem Station. The keyword "Essential Crafting Supplies" is the tab I created in that station. I gave link so people can have direct access to file so they could see for themselves either in T5edit or in game. Perhaps play with it a little so they could give a fix they tried themselves. I have tried to post screen shoots just now but its wired system they have. I can't get it directly from my pc and I can't use a site like tinypic for url they want. This is a far better, constructive, and helpful comment, which you (Demonikone) gave to ENB or Reshade messing with my resolution since it states what information other people might need to be able to help. "is it by chance bokeh DOF blurring thingS?? 3 things that would make it easier to help the name of the enb/reshade :tongue: System stats and maybe.... if you run an nvidea card you could even use shadowplay and record a short video to demonstrate :smile:" instead of: " not yet, and too be honest i dont know how much help you will get with the lack of infomation given... people generally like to be able to read the details on the thread.... not open new tabs and blah blah... and sorry but im struggling to understand wtf you even mean" I'm still new to this and not sure what information is best to put on here..... :sad:

I made this mod and it works ok just that it crashes to desktop when I try to craft the items I need in the chem station in the tab I created, no other CTD issues only when using that specific tab and scrolling down or staying too long in that tab. I made it like I have the other two mods I created and never had issues with CTD on them.   14. Grimmdus...a little more detail on your issue and how you fixed it would be helpful. It wasn't clear what you did to your .ini files to fix your issue.
  15. Not sure if this is the right place to post or the mod forum but I'll try here first. So I have a mod that has a lot of mats in the workshop menu need to make an item. I can't make it since I don't know what's missing and I can't find that out since I can't scroll down. trying to put pic so you can see there's an arrow pointing down on the right corner letting me know there's more. I'm using keyboard and mouse. For example I want to build a turret and it need different materials then Vanilla and I need to scroll down to see it. There is a arrow pointing down on right hand corner right below the pipboy character animation but I can't scroll down. Ideas? I have tried down arrow, and the S key and page down, and mouse wheel. You can't put your pointer on it in workshop menu screen since your whole face moves with the mouse not any pointer.

It doesn't read your ammo in your inventory either in AMMO tab or in your hub (these may be two separate issues though i doubt it) 2. It doesn't change the receiver name when you change the receiver when applying the baseball grenade receiver 3. I believe it can currently shoot the grenades even without the receiver (at least if I remember currently, I did have a version that did that) In the 6hrs looking into it, I was able to fix the issue on the gun shooting the grenades with or without the receiver. That was it though. I wasn't able to figure out why it's not reading the ammo though it uses it just fine, and I ran out of practice to try to figure out why the receiver name isn't changing gun name. This isn't enough to to put out an updates file since it wont change anything other then adding another step for you to use the gun which is to go to the workbench and create/apply the new receiver. Gues it's for immersion though if your really interested in a shoot gun shooting a lot of grenades then immersion isn't your highest of priorities. I think that was enough effort on my part given the current interest and support. Well see if it grows more, if I feel its grown enough I'll try to make some time again to come back to this at some point. Sorry I can't add more features like different ammo types yet since more things will only complicate my investigation efforts. I would like to thank Frederikshadows for offering to help with mesh/skin. That's nice that people want to help but the skin is again an immersion issue and that should go last. I really need some help with the issues above. I'm going to put this up on the Forums before I pause my efforts for now and see if I can get help there.   17. I don't mind, it's to be expected we are human and sex sells. I have to agree with all above posts and moderator has a point, this isn't a kid site. You can't go and watch South Park and be shocked at the cursing and language, just because it's a cartoon doesn't mean it's for little kids. Just because these mods are for a game doesn't mean there intended for children. TV, cartoons, video games are simply a medium of expression, and that expression can take many forms including the human body. I would add though that I do agree with one thing in the OP and that's the amount that's out there was more then I expected from pass Bethesda games. I have a feeling it just seems like a lot because we're currently limited on what we can mod. I'm sure that once CK comes out you will see a growth of mods in other areas. If your the appropriate age then perhaps you might want to return when the GECK has had some time to be out.
  18. I agree with all of the above. CK will help a lot, will probably need script ext. for some and yes should probably separate them as separate mods at least to start. That just comes from my own experience in modding this game so far. It is limited and some hassles GECK will make easier.

  22. Hi, a bit new to modding. I read the "new to modding" post. I've been using mods sine fallout 3 and just started playing with values in other peoples mods recently and now want to move on to making my own. I want to start small. I want to create a recipe to craft a baseball. I have the Tes5Edit tool set up for Fallout 4, and have search for tip on how to do it on Youtube and other places and can't find it. Was hoping this would be the place to get a walk through on how to do it. Thank you
