  1. You mention it does it in game hours, according to this link: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/164594-fallout-4/answers/417159-how-long-is-the-day-night-cycle 1 minute realtime = 16 minutes in game. so just multiply by 16? wouldn't that work? Also I would be interested in hearing more about this factory you are developing, as I also have some ideas! Let's connect! all the best.
  2. Vanilla Energy Immersion Problem No Immersion: Generators run on seemingly infinite fuel. However, oil is not being extracted. So where is this coming from? This mod by pirRelli partially solves the issue: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14193/ A little known fact amongst post apocalyptic community is that gasoline/diesel goes bad and must be re-purified after less than a year. “Regular gasoline has a shelf life of three to six months, while diesel can last up to a year before it begins to degrade. On the other hand, organic-based Ethanol can lose its combustibility in just one to three months due to oxidation and evaporation.” https://archive.is/Z0lQX Solar panels also lose 20% of their efficiency every 25 years , so the ones in the game should be completely degraded unless by pure magic they were stored perfectly for hundreds of years. Why Resin? Resin can be readily harvested from trees in the environment. The process is simple. It only requires basic materials: (1) A hatchet for removing the bark, (2) a bucket, (3) a nail, (4) a hammer, and (5) some cord to attach the bucket to the tree. One tree can provide multiple kilograms of fuel. Process https://www.wikihow.com/Tap-a-Pine-Tree Resin can be distilled at the chemistry station to create Turpentine (already in Fallout) and Rosin. Turpentine can power generators as a drop-in replacement for gasoline: https://archive.is/wip/ULhko Rosin can be used to create medicines, great asphalt, plastics, adhesives (glues), soap (essential for hygiene), soda, soldering fluxes, and sealing wax. Vision A new faction, the Pineans, use pine trees as their fuel and they make all kinds of things from resin (plastics, fuel, asphalt for roads). Currently, the highest producing trees in the world produce over 10 kilograms of resin per tree per year. The lore of this mod would be that pine trees were mutated from radiation and are producing a lot more resin thereby reducing the amount of trees needed to be tapped (100 would be enough for the faction). Pineans wish to reforest the Wasteland, help them make it happen! Could be used in combination with many other mods. What we need Experienced modders Brainstorming and ideas Writers for possible missions I would love to hear your thoughts! Looking forward to making this happen
  3. i made a mod near the lake where the b29 bomber is located, and there's a little port. i removed the shack that was there and made myself a really nice, cozy home.
  4. I brought my own mesh into the game and tried to set a texture by creating uv maps and whatnot and it works in the modeler... but how do you export it to NV? thank you so much
  5. I am having a huge prolem and I have tried looking for the problem on the forum, google, everything BASICALLY what happens is I have created custom meshes and put them in FNV, and in-game they seem fine, until you get too close to them, and all of a sudden they disappear. Take for example a weapon. It's visible in the world and visible in 3rd person but not in 1st person. I then resise the model so that t fits in the viewport and it's visible.... any way to make the model be visible out of the viewport? thank you so much!!
  6. do you think i should go ahead and make more models of bikes? 2 more city bikes http://queenmargot.com/italian_montante.jpg and one mountain bike? so at least modders have the models to go ahead?
  7. Hello forum, I'm kind of new at model modding, I've been modding weapons and such for a long time for NV, Skyrim, and FO3, but I just started adding my own models to games through NifSkope. The other day I dreamt about how fallout could have bicycles, as they don't require much Energy as cars or other vehicles, which would make them a more likely mode of transport. I made a 3d model from the ground up through wings 3d. It's not that good, but its good to test it. Now, I've seen mods such as XRE Cars, etc, but a bicycle seems more appealing as it would feel less out of place. IDEAS: In Germany in WWII Bikes had tires with springs instead of rubber, as rubber was used for war... Maybe you should repair the bicycle before being able to use it in-game? You should be able to "summon it" but not in places where you can't fast travel. The bicycle could be stored as an object and sold through vendors. Different kinds of bicycles for different environments. The one I did had a city-like look. (I know it's bad, I did it in 20 minutes...) ALSO I am having a very big difficulty with the textures, so the bicycle looks flat and pretty bad... I used Blender for the UV mapping, which for some reason doesnt work with NV... and Wings3d to model it. The 3d model is provided in the link below: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8pHzCBQ6TvIdFI1VUYybzJKV28&usp=sharing
