Think that's good advice. I'll do that. I'm just gonna deconstruct all of it & start over completely. That's the only way I'll feel that I've got it all clean as I can get & not start putting good over bad. Thnx

Only tried USLEEP & Skyui. Tried moving some files around but that didn't work...so I put them back the way I had it... & now getting error messages about ini files missing. Think I should just uninstall MO2 & use that MO2 installer file....& redo the SKSE & FNIS? I think I did step 1 right but missing ini files...not so sure even doing that would fix those issues. I should just start all over again, shouldn't I?

I used the Nexus Mods Page (Skyrim Special Edition) Mod Organizer 2...Uploaded by LePresidente. The first download file.

Still cannot launch the game from within MO2. It is also saying...this save relies on mods not present anymore. So, I removed those mods & re-installed them & I still get that error. Something still isn't right with MO2 or Skyrim SE or Steam or Bethesda or whatever/whomoever (including me) not reading what mods are installed/enabled. Maddening, absolute madness.

I've got Skyrim SE installed to a new Steam path. It runs in-game. As to MO2, u say re-install to C:\mods & hit Portable. I don't have a C:\mods folder??

Ur philosophical approach is quite unique & bears many truths. I still need to know if I should uninstall my current Steam? I have a feeling if I install Steam again, it'll just say ....u alrdy have Steam. I too know from past experiences that Steam will only give me 3 options to install...on C, D, or E drive. D & E on my system don't have enough free space (so it says). Further, when I tried to create a unique folder (Skyrim SE install)...Steam wouldn't accept that path.

This PC > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > Skyrim Install or r u looking for where it is in Steam Site itself? That would b...Steam Library > The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition > Properties> Local Files > Browse Local Files. There r 13 Files in the Browse Local Files. Am not sure what it is u ask of me. The other Path would b This PC > Windows (C:) > Users > trijj . There r 24 Files in trijj .

@purr...I don't have a C:\games\steam......I got C:\games\downloads or mods or overwrite or profiles or webcache. Just create a folder called Steam & put it in this list? I just installed Skyrim SE using Steam but haven't launched it yet.

Thnx greatly for responding. I've been away from Skyrim (Oldrim) & Skyrim SE for a long time. Coming back & I c a whole lot has changed. Yesterday was my 3rd attempt to sort all things out but it was no use. i uninstalled everything that was associated with SE (that's the only way I know to get a "clean" start. It takes me hours to do this. I thought, well I'll just go back to Oldrim & do without some things. That didn't work either... with no Vortex around on the Nexus & posts about avoiding it like a plague. I go step by step with the YouTube how to's but those guys "assume way too much imo. But u r correct...there r no Saves in the MO2 Save Folder. When I log out & start up again...it goes back to "Load'---greyed out...I have to hit New & start all over. It will say SKSE is not working....yet in game...it is right there with the proper SKYUI Tabs. I turned on no Anti-Ware programs. I'd rather play the SE version, so I'll try once again to install everything for SE. What I need most (& will never get) is some1 right next to me to answer questions that continue to pop up as I go along. Like when the mod authors say do this...& it doesn't do that for me. Let me c if I can ask u a few 'trouble-areas" questions here. 1) Does MO2 need to b placed in the Folder where SE is installed? { I use Steam...do I go to Local Files where Steam put it or do I go to Program Files x 86 where I put my Skyrim Install Folder? 2) Which "Tools"...SKSE, FNIS, LOOT, TESVEdit or whatever....go where? Saw somewhere..never put so & so in a Game Folder...followed by some1 else saying..this has to b in the place where the game was installed. So confusing. If u can help me out, I'd b truly grateful. MO2 is not Saving my Playthrus. The Save Folder is empty. I can c the Saves within the Save Tab within MO2 but when I go to launch thru SKSE in MO2, the Game won't launch. It'll launch using the Steam Icon or that runtime icon but the Load tab is greyed out. I have to start a new game. MO I am not too familiar with...alot has changed since I last used it. I got all confused on trying to follow YouTube how to's. Some do it one way & another does it different. Help me, plz...lol (Skyrim Special Edition)

The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch must load b4 RSChildren & RSChildren must load b4 Axe's RSChildren, right? My load screen just keeps spinning.

I have Skyrim Special Edition installed on Steam. LOOT is not recognizing that though. I get error ...cannot initialize game setting. How would I fix that? Thnx

I forgot to mention that "Return Horn to Arngeir" is in my Completed Quest Slot.

Came back to game and loaded up a Save that had me returning to Wulfgar to get his shout. Quest arrow led me right to him but he won't talk to me. In my Quest Log, the part that deals with the Horn has an "X" by it. Also, Delphine is sending me to meet Malbourn, so wouldn't that indicate I did return the Horn? Can't recall if I did or not. Is there a "setstage" that some1 might could share, so I can move this forward? TY

i got the first writ of sealing in Saarthal & equipped the Magicka Amulet...but did not get the quest to proceed. Is there something I can do to continue this quest-line? I also later on asked Serana to cure herself but with AFT she never left our home. Now, I can't cast AFT on her & have no dialogue with her now. She just keeps on repeating ...this is something I need to do or something to that effect. Is there something I can do about this 1? TY

I probably don't have USLEEP installed on this playthrough. I forgot about that 1. I'll go c if I have it & put it on if I don't. ty guys Edit: So, I didn't have USLEEP...I got that enabled now but the results were the same. Esbern is not talking...not opening the door. What gives with this 1? I've nvr had this ever happen.

Here's is what I thought was correct. setstage MQ202 stage 160 Probably got the spacing wrong, right? Nope...it wasn't the spacing, it was the stage..i didn't need to type stage. 170 got me to where Esbern goes to his chest...but he just kneels b4 it & won't follow. I went on to Riverwood w/o him. But 180 had Delphine complaining to me about leaving him & to go back & get him but nothing had changed. He was still by his chest. What to do now?

Ok..i am down in the ratway & esbern is not talking. the others down there r though. So, he never opens the door. Could i get the next quest-stage for him? I did try the tcl & went on in...but he had no text. Thnx for any help.

This is my first time going back to Skyrim & using Vortex. Pretty sure I did the mod installs correctly. When I hit my SKSE Shortcut icon, the Game displays as a small screen in the upper left-hand corner. I c no way to "expand' it to full screen. How do I get it to display full-screen? Thnx

I've been away from Skyrim for awhile. I now c that NMM won't update but I don't c where I can install a newer version. Did NMM go away to b replaced by Vortex? I thought Vortex was for SSE??

Yes, I'd have to agree I should just go back to an earlier Save. But....I did a bunch b4 I ran back over to Angeir. This specific Quest Objective is 40. In SSE would the console command be {player.setstage 40}. I highly doubt it though. What would it be? Thnx (this won't be a big deal if it doesn't work..SSE drives me nuts anyways...not enough mods and too many still in alpha)

Upon returning to High Hrothgar with the Horn, I noticed Angier hadn't moved from his place by that outside sprint place. I gave him the horn but he didn't move. The quest arrow was over Wulfgar but he was inside. I tried to talk to Wulfgar but he only went thru the motions of giving the word. I never got the word. Is there a setstage on this one? TY

So.... the hot fix turns out to b a hot break! I uninstalled NMM & installed the latest (old version). Wagons still not moving. On this attempt to fix, I went even further with uninstalling my previous mods and any & everything associated with Skyrim. As u can c, it didn't help.
