  1. Open the texture file you want to modify in GIMP.

Under Colors choose Hue-Saturation, in the hue-saturation window under Select Primary Color to Adjust, select Blue. Then lower the saturation to -100. This should turn the blue color to grey without effecting the rest of the texture.

If you want it grey/black then lower the Lightness also.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I would completely remove it to be on the safe side.

I forgot to mention (because it seems so long ago) that my enb issue might have been compounded with an update on my graphics card and a Skyrim update... so I'll apologize in advance if this doesn't solve your missing texture issue or wasting your time.

  3. This is a stab in the dark, but do you have an ENB installed?

I had this issue before with the "sometimes" missing textures and I uninstalled the ENB I was using and the problem was solved. I can't remember which ENB it was because I've slept since then, but give that a try.

If you don't use an ENB then disregard my post.

  4. But what you can try to do first is to disable some of Oblivions standard shadows in the option menu (Self shadow, Shadow on grass, shadow filtering and so on). The game will then not need to work with two pair of "shadows" from two differnt light systems.

I hadn't thought of that  I hated disabling the shadows in the INI... it broke the ambiance of the enb. I will definitely try disabling the shadows in-game instead. Thank-you astrob0y.

  5. I've only just recently been watching the events and my heart goes out to the people of the Ukraine and their families abroad. It's a shame Russia is taking advantage of Ukraine's weak government. I hope, like bben says, everyone can work out a peace solution for Ukraine's sake... fingers crossed.

  6. I sometimes have issues with equipping and unequipping custom armours that result in game crashing, especially armours that I've monkeyed around with. ;)

It's possible that a mod might have modified the vanilla armours and your games doesn't like it... don't know.

What I usually do in this situation is start disabling mods to narrow down the culprit if any. The standard process of elimination.
