  1. Hey, thanks! It's a tough texture, I think. I have a 4k monitor so the pixilation is strong with the broom.
  2. Hey guys, Most items throughout the game have been retextured - but the broom (both the NPC ideal and the broom item) is really bad and very low resolution. It breaks immersion everytime I see it. If anyone wants to take a shot at it I'd be very grateful! Thanks!
  3. Congrats team! I'm excited to get started with Vortex soon!
  4. For starters: I want it to be a true role playing game (which I guess Skyrim kinda is but....) where the player can choose which path they want for their particular character and aren't boxed into very many decisions. And these decisions need to have an impact of the game. Certain quest need to be forgone only to open up entirely new story lines. NPCs need to act dynamically to your station, title, and role. Variety in armor and weapons of the same type Reworked alchemy, crafting, and forging I'd like the character not to have speaking roles but for ALL other NPCs to be voiced with custom voices.
  5. In light (get it) of Nvidia's big push today - do you think we'd (I mean, not me, but some smart capable member of the community) be able to add in raytracing into Skyrim via postprocessing? Like add in a raytracing ENB? That would change so much of the current state - but could it happen?
  6. No. I did manually download it and when installing in Nexus that's when the error message appears. I haven't seen anything like it before. Perhaps because it is an Oldrim mod? Thanks! Do you mean concerning your A/V? If so, you may have to manually download the mod then use Nexus to install it. That's my preferred method anyway. Otherwise, make an exception in your A/V to allow Nexus to download and install mods.
  7. For whatever reason there is some kind of security error with 2.2 and Nexus where it won't allow me to install it? Have you experience that kind of thing?
  8. Yes! This is probably what I want for now. I'll report back if it works for me. I play with zero hud so the message won't bother me anyway. Thanks, LeddBate!
  9. OK, So I've resisted working with SKSE 64 because of all of the version issues and the wait until Vortex, etc. Back before SKSE 64 there was a version of SkyUI that apparently worked without SKSE for SE? Does anyone know about that version and if it is possible to stably use SkyUI without SKSE? I understand that this sounds ridiculous. Thanks!
  10. Aurora is pretty cool and customizable. She not as in depth as Inigo or Sofia but still worthwhile. Also, Ambriel (with overhaul) is awesome but I got stuck on one of the quests and couldn't advance the story.
  11. Good luck with actually "playing" oldrim with Windows 10 and more than 50 mods.
  12. I also like setting "rules" for myself to actually role play the character (like - this is a mage I'm ONLY going to max out magic and health use items and take quests that make sense for that character setting). This also applies to buying and selling, looting, fast travel, etc. I find it actually makes a big difference.
  13. You can probably run 2k textures just fine but an ENB is going to sap your performance. I'd try playing around with textures and graphics settings (use Bethini) until you find a good mix of graphics and frame rates. Then you can explore a reshade or ENB.
  14. SSE is so much more stable and there are thousands of mods and more are being ported everyday. What do you want to see? SSE is superior in most aspects and while there is room for improvement and mod support - it's a solid product.
  15. I use a 28" Samsung UHD. It's like the cheapest one you can get: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/uhd-and-wqhd/samsung-uhd-28-monitor-with-high-glossy-black-finish-lu28e590ds-za/?cid=pla-ecom-mul-27,000,002
  16. i5 8400 (I'm gaming in 4K so the 8700 K wasn't needed) EVGA 1080ti (carried over from my last build that I bought for MSRP in September. As of right now - forget about it)ASUS ROG Strix z370 -E Gaming MoboG Skill Trident DDR 4 RAM 3200 2 x8 GBSamsung EVO 960 SSD NVMe 500 GB (I wanted to put all mods on here but since everything carried over from my last SSD I'll just keep it there I guess). Corsair 750 PSUx2 SSDs x1 HDD Corsair Crystal 570x case (a bit of a splurge but it looks so damn cool). I'm getting around 10 FPS better over my last build (both using the 1080 ti) @4k - that's with all maxed settings and an ENB.
  17. Ha! It worked! This is all I did: 1) Rename file paths to former names of drive on previous build (changing the letter "C: as an example"). I didn't have to move my saved games location after renaming the drives. 2) Changed the steam library location in Steam under settings 3) Re-downloaded Nexus 4) Re-downloded Loot (I guess optional) 5 Updated ini (just launch the game) and changed with BETH ini (optional) 6) Launched Skyrim - Done! Thanks for your help, y'all! This thread may help someone in the future.

  19. Thanks! So, I know that #2 was on C (which I think I can restore for just the data?) and #1 and #3 were on another dedicated drive. What do you recommend I do first after downloading SSE afresh?
  20. Hey gang, So, my rig died and I'm planning a new PC build soon (like tomorrow) The problem is, I love my former SSE build. I have all of the files on a dedicated SSD that was not the C drive. Would it be possible to just plug the dedicated SSD drive into my new build, format it, download Nexus, and then tell nexus where all the files are and load them up - or is the process more involved than that? Thanks for your help!
  21. Hey gang, So, I'm at the building phase. Does anyone have suggestions about if I can plug in my SSD (not C:), download Skyrim Special Edition (hopefully the version that works with SKSE 64) download nexus and then point it to the files that it could work? Thanks for your help!
  22. Do you think that's still true with a new M2 NVME SSD? Like an EVO 960? I ask because I'm assembling a new build now and was planning on using that as my Windows and Skyrim drive with my older SSDs being used for all other games.
  23. Just about sums it up. I don't actually care if it doesn't come out until 2020 personally. My guess is we'll all be slightly disappointed until good n' plenty mods are out and then it will be awesome. There's no way to deliver on the hype the game will have.
  24. It really informs on the lore. I love collecting them (especially with the unique high resolution book covers mod) but I seldom read them :/
