Call it Nexus' ModCeption. NMC. Or maybe ModCeption of Nexus. MCON. =D
  2. In response to post #47395865. #47401590 is also a reply to the same post. It will though be 64bit :D ... and give errors with all 32bit external applications!
  3. Money make the world go round. No matter how you see it, if someone works even for a hobby on something and suddenly from that hobby he can make money, the hobby becomes sweeter. This exact feeling I am getting after reading this post, I get from the Minecraft community too. I feels like something "negative" is stirring and slowly being awaken. Bad mood always is there like you said, since different people have different personalities and some are just competitive. I do though believe that someone that did not really care strongly before for fame or endorsements or whatnot, will still not care much. They will mod for their fun, maybe or maybe not charge something and then leave the mod behind in the hands of someone else, with the only request for their mod to never become a reason for people to make money. I guess I believe a lot in humans, but I know that even if money is something as important as health and love, (because without money you can indeed lose both of these, as I have seen while growing up) some people still manage to not be controlled by that power. There will always be the more and less famous mods out there and when the better mod will become too expensive people will go for the less expensive one, skipping the "better" one. But I see this as normal and to be honest even if it comes to life, it will only remind me of how The Sims, seeing how modding was so successful, created their own market with "extra" items. But even with that store people kept making new items and releasing them in sites that ask nothing for these items but people to make an account and maybe vote and comment, almost like Nexus. Sadly English is not my first language and I am not the smartest person around, but if your worry is whether Bethesda will make it so free mods are illegal or not, I say you must not be the only one worrying over such a decision. If they will take such a step it will move them too along with the rest of the world. Suddenly the DLCs appeared and they moved the world and I have to accept many people go for them, buying a game for a "full" price and then spend again and again money for sometimes a really good and large content to at times mere features that normally should be part of a patch or the game. It shocks me how people receive such updates and they are called "free" dlc when they should be called patches with a bonus content. Was the DLC a good step for the gaming industry to take? I bet the game creators are making more, probably, money than they would normally get. I do though at times sit with friends and we make fun of such games, even the more popular ones. We say how you could pay in the past a single time for a game and fully enjoy it, where now it has become virtually impossible to do that. But enough of that, returning back to the subject, like I said, if they will move the world to that direction they will have to follow it too. I can easily see Fallout 4 or TES 6 getting released with such restrictions as you fear, and people will simply be like; Let's go back to Fallout NV or TES 5. They had free mods and the final result was so much more better than when the new ones can reach. A community with no free mods first and foremost means that people will have higher expectation for Bethesda. I still remember when I bought the game when it came out, swimming in bugs and game breaking glitches and being glad when I managed to finish the game and sidequests with my save being intact. Skip the rest of this paragraph if you do not want to read my experiences with vanilla game and how USKP I will never ever forget how the unofficial Skyrim patch that was one of the first mods I added not only made the game playable, but let me finish the darn questline for Hjerim, the house in Windhelm. I consider that questline one of the most bugged ones, but I remember visiting Markrath and there was that mage looking imperial guard out of one of the houses and my friend was like omggggg talk to hiiiim. I ignored him for the simple reason that I have been through all major cities and spoke to everyone... on my first gameplay. How could I know that talking to that guy would lead to actually getting a daedric weapon? He has never appeared before there but I did not think someone this important would never appear in the game. Adding the unofficial patch was like I unlocked a very different Skyrim, which actually was true since now quests worked and things I have not seen before appeared. If they will release the game and enforce prices on mods, will there be free community patches? Will the community while fixing problems be as enthusiastic knowing others get paid for such things? Will people be happy with Bethesda still accepting their free help but them asking for money? Games nowadays get released with endless bugs and the people that pay full price for a working game either have to wait for a LONG time for bugs to get fixed and at times games either send reports via the net or ask for people to go to support and give them crash logs. For better or worse the buyer is the game tester giving feedback to the company. It becomes a job when you try to play, but bugs, glitches and crashes make you feel like you are actually doing a chore. A game that does not entertain you is work, which is how I feel with MMOs after I play for a while grinding and repeating the same thing and it tires me not making me feel happy. I can't imagine or predict what they will do, but if they will release their next games with such a mindset, I feel and believe they will be harming their own selves as well. Then again according to the money charts and percentages.. yeah I hope it will work for them, because if they do it I will stop caring. Sure if the game turns out good I will wait for them to release all expansions and DLC and when a supersale is announced I will get the game, play it once and then throw it in a drawer and play Morrowing, Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 3 and NV. Well time will tell, like it does for everything. At worst I see them enforcing that on Skyrim too and people either using the already owned mods they have to play once more or getting newer ones from illegal sites so they can play a last time. Either way at least I believe that if enjoying the game as we have up to today becomes illegal, it will be the last time playing for many people, or people will actually play illegally and get over with it.
  4. Thanks a lot lofgren. It looked at first like it was actually one of the lighting overhauls doing the damage but even removing it did not help. Well It is kind of minor I guess! Thanks again :D
  5. THe game has been modded with quite a lot of mods, but no texture mods yet. I have installed previously together RLO and CoT but the screenshots are taken where ONLY Skyrim.esm is loaded. No expansions, no patches. My torch seems to give light to the stairs only if I get really really close to it. So the light transition got from 0 to 100 as long as I move to close and that of course does not feel natural. In my previous games I almost never used torches but then again I never used a mod that would make interiors darker. Even thought I have messed around with Skyrim Configurator so here is SkyrimPrefs.ini And here are the screenshots http://i.imgur.com/Z1wsII1.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vhW1ng0.jpg
  6. Thank you so very much for all the suggestions BlackRoseOfThorns. I am going to try and see how RCRN is and if it will not go well I will go back to CoT. Definitely am going to check the real clouds :3
  7. This is a thread made to ask for the help of the people. I am sorry if the tittle is kind of misleading. English is not my first language and I do make mistakes at times. I want to use CoT for the weather options, but I do not want it's lighting changes. I have been using it for ever and one thing I hate from CoT is that light sources are dim. RLO is the best lighting mod I found for myself up to today (ELFX just removes all ambient and everything is too dark). I would love to use them side by side CoT and RLO, but I have read that they are not compatible any more. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated
  8. There is a sticky thread in here that is called mod detectives. You should try there.
  9. Wrye Bash gives an error for Origin of the Mages Guild if the load order of the Master Files CyrodiilUpgradeResourcePack.esm and CURP_Controller.esm are in that order. When I try to switch these two to be on the opposite order CUO Bravil/Bruma/Chorrol/Leyawiin give me an error. I was wondering if the load order of these two is actually critical and if yes, is there a way for me to do something? Thank you very much for any help. I hope you all are having a great day~
  10. I really want to replace the texture of mannequins to a brighter color one so it will make a good contrast with armor. I have found Arie Mannequins that are not a mod but a source with different textures of mannequins. Is there a way for me to use these textures in my game? Actually if it was possible for me to use my own image, it would be great. Thanks to anyone that will help.
  11. Thanks for the offer Grimy. Well since there is a way to sell them one by one like Myztikrice said, I think I am good :D Thanks a lot for pointing out that feature Mystikrice! Really appreciated! Hope you both are having a great week.
  12. I have absolutely no experience in modding in any way, but I found this mod that I really liked, that adds a new area in the game which is connected to all the buyable houses in the cities and it has a lot of weapon and armor stands (plaques, racks and mannequins). The mod is Dovahkiin - Wardrobe Room - a lot Mannequins by Vasyner and it is absolutely great, but it has one thing that makes it lack the "perfection" for me. I am not sure if it was intended or by mistake, but if you look on the picture you will see that on the wall the creator did not add the whole big weapon rack, but only the middle part which is for the shield http://i.imgur.com/kb0yN9o.jpg and I am guessing the reason is because the plaque is actually made from more than just one part and it would be hard. I looked a bit around and found another "mod" or more like modder's resource where the creator have made such objects be one (sorry not sure how that works or even if these work). The mod is Modders Resource - Weapons Racks - Bookshelves - Plaques - Mannequins. Now what I want to ask is if anyone is able to make an addon mod for this, replacing/covering the shield rack with a big weapons plaque, or if that is hard maybe add side by side a small weapon plaque with a shield rack, or whatever you believe it would make the main halls have the ability to accept weapons.
  13. Ever since I used mods that do both these on Oblivion I felt spoiled and now coming back to Skyrim makes me feel a bit annoyed that selling 10 daedric chestplates counts the same as selling one sweetroll, in leveling for speech. I was wondering if there is any mod that with a button or combination of buttons would disable the slider, or even better a mod that would level speech according to the amount of gold sold and not the amount of transactions. Damn you Oblivion mods for spoiling me =p
  14. Yes I know, I got another floating doors topic, which I would assume it was my fault again, but the other one I posted here was OMG conflicting with BC. A problem I always had too were extra floating doors in Bruma. This time though the doors are not ones that have been added by another mod, randomly placed in the air. If you take a look at the pictures bellow you will see that its actually two instances of the same door, one from the BC and one from Oblivion itself (Thank you once more Nephenee, for pointing out this helpful mod. Hope I got your name right). http://i.imgur.com/di81CFv.jpg This is what I get when I check a set of doors with Refscope: These are some more doors: Now I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I know I have not installed another Bruma overhaul mod that could conflict with BC, except if CUO can count. Even if I did though, it just seems like BC does not remove the doors added by Oblivion. I had these doors floating there without CUO and a lot of the mods I have added nowadays too, with just BC and a handful of other mods, back a year ago. I never really bothered to fix it, because thankfully Bruma is not one of the Cities I pass my time in a lot. But still if it would be possible, I would like to fix this. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I will provide more info if needed. P.S.: Even if this will sound crazy, they are not always there. I have never though tried to see what triggers their appearance.
  15. Always resourceful and helpful Nephenee! Seems its a mix between Better Cities and Origin of the Mages Guild actually. All the extra doors have been added by OotMG but for example the bars in front of two od these doors are added by BC. I am guessing that BC also alters some of the walls, but I find it weird because I have added the compatibility patch of BC for OotMG. I will try to play around with the order BOSS placed them at and see if something works. -Edit- Well it was probably something I have done wrong? Wrong installation order? Then again I used the same order now. I uninstalled both OMG and BC and re-installed them in that order too, and well now I can see everything in the right place. No more floating doors, and I even see more doors now. Thanks as always for the help guys! Have a wonderful day :) P.S. Awesome tool Nephenee. Thanks again for the tip.
