Ah thanks!

Hi everyone. Iâm replaying Morrowind and am doing the Tribunal quests. I donât know very much about the lore or backstory of the Gods, but as I talk to people they say how caring and helpful Almalexia is. Iâve been doing her quests and itâs obvious sheâs nothing like how the people see her. Iâm just curious to know if she ever WAS a benign, loving god, or was she always this way, but hid that from her people? Also Iâm wondering if she once had been a kind, loving god and then something happened to make her the way she is now? This stuff fascinates me, and so Iâd love to hear what you guys think or know about her. Thanks! Tracy

Hi everyone. I have both mods installed, and itâs driving me crazy trying to figure out a certain storyline because Iâm not sure which mod it belongs to. There is a vampire (Alighere, I think) who wants the player to search for his sister. I really love this part of the mod and want to play it again, so if anyone can help me figure this out that would be great. Thanks SO much, Tracy

Hi everyone. Iâm replaying this mod, but am stuck at the Bouyant Arminger place in Molag Mar. When I try to get into the room, I get a message saying ânot now, while Drathen can see youâ. Well, Iâve tried the ring that you buy in Caldera, as well as any concealment/sneak/invisibility potion I could find, but I still get that message, can anyone help me get past this door? Thanks SO much! Tracy

Hi again. This works great! I love the painting and the rug, and the candle of course, and the hidden strorage above the bedroll. I love this-I'm so tickled to have it and it was so nice of you to make it for me. : ) btw, I was thinking about the shelves and as you mentioned the havok and I realized I don't know how to put books on shelves anyway (lol) could I have you remove them and then I'll just put books up in the chest? Thanks so much, Tracy

Oh thanks SO much! You made my day. ð

Hi there. I thought Iâd request another mod while Iâm up playing Oblivion. I love tiny spaces, and in the game my favorite place to âhideâ is in the closet at the Lonely Suitor. I love the idea of having it be my tiny âhouseâ mod, with a candle on the left as youâre looking at the doors, a very small shelf with a book or two on the right, a small painting/safe on the wall behind me, and a bedroll standing straight up on the wall behind me as well. Plus a good lock spell to make my character feel safe. I know that you guys are busy and need to make mods that are wanted by many members, but this is such a small, quick thing I thought Iâd ask. ð I know someone will tell me to learn to mod and do this myself, but tbh, I donât have the time right now. (Iâm my Dads caregiver and so Iâm always on duty so to speak except for a few hours before bed which is my game time.) Anyway, thanks for reading this and considering it. I really appreciate it. ð Tracy

Hi everyone. I've been playing Oblivion again lately and have found almost all of the mods I loved years ago. There is one I can't find though, and so I thought I'd post. I don't remember the name of it, but it was a well within the grounds of the Arcane University that is a home. You can get to it by going down the well, and inside there are like four rooms. I loved it so much, and I'm not sure if it even exists anymore, but I thought I'd give it a try. Looking forward to hearing from you all, Tracy

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a mod that's based on a necromancer who has a secret hideout in a small farm house. I remember that you have to go down and around a corner in the house, then there is an easel with a painting, and when you touch the painting, it takes you to his secret hideout. I can't remember the name to save the life of me, and I can't find it here on the Nexus by searching for "Necromancer" so if you guys could help me that'd be great. Thanks! Tracy

Hi everyone. I've been replaying Oblivion for a few weeks and I'm in the Shivering Isles right now. I love it here SO much, but a few things have bugged me and I'd love to find someone to make a mod for the following: Instead of the Duke and Duchess dying and the player taking over their spots, I'd love to see them both stay alive, and have the player choose one of them to work for, side with, etc. I imagine things like sneaking around for Syl (as an example) and not just doing fetch and carry quests (although those are good) and seeking out those who her paranoia have deemed to be enemies. In acting with and for her, the player could either truly become as mad as she is, and stay within her court or turn on her later on after seeing the insanity she's wrought. Also, I'd love to see her sending notes, dispatches, etc to people anywhere in the Isles; whether "love" notes to someone she's involved with, threats to those who she considers enemies, angry letters to those in Mania who are anathema to her and her Dementia personality, etc. Although I love Mania alot, I'm not crazy about Thadon, so while I don't want that realm's Duke killed, I'd love to have a replacement. And in this realm, if the player chooses it, they could work for/side with the Duke. He could be much more fleshed out, and pretty much "high" most of the time, and so unable to come down to earth and live in reality. I imagine him wildly frenetic, like Robin Williams was in his early comedy show days. Just out of control and unable to truly listen to anyone. Still he would need a right hand man (or woman) and the player would be firmly on his side. I haven't seen the darker/murderous side of Mania really, and so I'd have to think of what kind of dangerous things the Duke would have the player involved with. Definitely things like fetch and carry quests, frantic love notes to women (or men) all over the Isles, sending the player into doom only to magically rescue him/her at the last second, playing a "joke". (Sounds like a Sheogorath move.) : ) The other part of my idea is with Sheogorath and that whole storyline. I've never liked the whole Jyggalag/Knights of Order/Priests of Order storyline or the way the characters look. I would love to see that scrapped, and maybe have Sheogorath be someone (at first) who welcomes the player to the Isles and is of course, mad, but pretends to be a good-time God who only wants to see the Hero be whisked away to have a good time. He too would give quests to the player, some innocuous at first, then becoming darker as time goes by. As things progress, he gradually would show his true colors. Insane plots would come to life, his split personality demanding one thing while "demented" and another while "manic". Eventually the player is simply a pawn in a game that crosses the Isles and until it's played out, the player cannot leave. As far as how things would wrap up, the player could have the choice of becoming Sheogorath's assistant (assuming he/she has become as nuts as he is!), find another person to embody the Daedra who lives in Sheogorath, or even take over the spot himself. These are just some of the ideas I've been playing with lately. I am so in love with Shivering Isles but would love to see something entirely different for the main storyline. If anyone is interested, it would be amazing to see these ideas come to life. As most gamers who play Oblivion, I've played SI a million times since it came out, and though I could wander around there forever, I'd love to see something completely new. : ) Thanks for reading this! Tracy

Hi everyone. I'm playing Oblivion again and I absolutely love the Shivering Isles. One thing that's always bothered me though is that there are hardly any people in Crucible and I'm wondering if there might be a mod out there that would populate the area more? I have looked around but haven't lucked out so I thought I'd see if anyone here might know of one. Thanks, Tracy

Hi everyone. I found a mod I want to download but it requires the Vile Lair plug in in order to run. My Oblivion game is from the Elder Scrolls Anthology, so I don't have the Knights of the Nine retail disc, which is what it comes on. Do you know if I can download Vile Lair somewhere so that it would work in this version of Oblivion? Thanks so much, Tracy

Installing Oblivion and mods
autumnsky38 replied to autumnsky38's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Thanks so much, Striker. Going to have to give that a try. And Mixxa 77, I'm using the old Oblivion disc from the old Elder Scrolls Anthology. Love to hear your ideas too. : ) Tracy -
Hi everyone. I installed Oblivion yesterday and have been playing obsessively. ð Iâm dying to use some mods that I found, but when I open them in Winzip, I canât find the location of the game in order to install them. I think I may have installed the game in the wrong section, but I canât find it in order to change that. Does anyone know the best place to install the game? Also, I have Windows 10, and Iâm wondering if that might change where the exe is located? Iâd love to have your help with this, and if you need specs, let me know and Iâll post them. Thanks so much, Tracy

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. Well, I don’t know how to make mods (yet) and tbh if I did it wouldn’t be as fun playing a mod like this because I would know what’s going to happen. I guess what I’d love to see is: Longer running around for Glarthir A lot sneaking and hiding as you do his requests A chance to become as nutty as he is, and genuinely be come his partner in crime Or, the chance to join the guards in trying to catch him, while he becomes harder and harder to find (maybe running to other cities, hiding in a secret room in his house, etc. Getting his home as a reward if you are on the guards side and end up killing him A different reward if you become his accomplice (not sure what that would be yet) Those are the main things I’ve been thinking about. Love to hear from you again if you are interested in giving this a try or if you might know someone who might be. Thanks, Tracy

Hi everyone. I love sneaking around for Glarthir and with him, but the regular quest is just too short and over too quickly, so I would love to have someone make a mod for this! Thanks for considering this, Tracy

Hi everyone. I want to replay the Rise of House Telvanni mod, but I really donât feel like playing through all of the quests again to get to be the Magister. Does anyone know if there are any mods that allow you to skip to the part where youâre the Magister? Thanks so much, Tracy

Hi everyone. I love Morrowind but Iâve played it a million times, and since Iâve done all of the quests for all of the factions, I was trying to think of something fun as far as a mod to jazz it up. Anyway, does anyone know if there is a mod that has a âwarâ or something similar between the Houses? I would love to find something like that where the player could encounter a conflict between them, and then have to choose a side to support. If this kind of mod doesnât exist, would someone be willing to make one? ð Thanks for your help, Tracy

Hi thanks for writing back. I appreciate the advice but I don’t know how to change cells. Do you know where I might find instructions on how to that? Thanks! Tracy

Hi everyone. I've been dying to have a "sit down" mod for Morrowind for ages. I tried the one that I found here, but it doesn't seem to work. Plus, if/when I do find one that works, I'd like to be able to sit anywhere, especially in all of my homes. I'd love to have this kind of mod made if anyone is interested. Thanks so much, Tracy : )

Can't uninstall or reinstall Morrowind
autumnsky38 replied to autumnsky38's topic in Morrowind's Troubleshooting
Thanks so much for the reply. It’s taken me awhile to get back to the site but I wanted to let you know I appreciate your help. I’m not great at technical stuff on the computer, so could you tell me how to check my drive? I’m not sure which drive to tell you it’s on btw. I have it playing/installing on the E: drive, and installed to my c:/games drive. The weird thing is, I just checked it and there isn’t an icon for the Morrowind exe file. I’m not sure what happened to it (lol) but I only have the MW uninstall icon and the data files containing all of my mods. If you have some ideas as to where I can go from here, I’d be grateful. : ) Tracy -
Hi everyone. For some reason today when I clicked on my Morrowind icon, it wouldn't load the game, so I thought there might be a problem and went to uninstall it. I got a message saying "An installation support file could not be installed, catastrophic failure". Then I tried to "install it" as if it hadn't been installed, and received the same message. I'm not sure what to do now because I can't play it, or uninstall it or reinstall it, so I'd love to have help if you guys have any ideas! Thanks so much, Tracy

Hi everyone. I've been playing the mod Apostates to Oblivion, and at a certain point (the tree of life I think it's called) the person who was supposed to be with me didn't appear and so I wasn't able to continue with the mod. I uninstalled it and deleted everything I could find on my computer, then downloaded it again and installed it again. When I did, and I got to the part where you see head witch for the first time, a few guys (not sure what faction) came into her area and started attacking me. Then I tried using an autosave that I had before this mod was installed, and thought I'd give that a shot, but when I went to Suran, the ring wasn't there. I would be really grately for anyone's help who has played this mod, or had a similar problem with mods in general. I really want to finish this one and hope someone can help me. Thanks so much, Tracy

Hi everyone. I'm replaying Oblivion for the first time in many years, and I LOVE the Shivering Isles part of it more than anything else. Now that I've "become" Sheogorath though, a few things are bugging me, so I thought I'd make a request-or, see if anyone might know of mods that may help me. It drives me crazy that whenever I go into a building where there are Zealots, they attack me on sight even though they worship the old Sheogorath. I'd love to see a mod made that at least has them not attack me,or even one that goes further and has them bowing in deference to me. (lol) The other thing that's been bugging me is how the Saints/Seducers will have me pay a fine if I've taken something (or similar crimes) instead of acting as if I am truly their "Lord". I can't quite imagine them treating the old Sheogorath that way-I think he'd probably "pluck out their eyes" if they did! So, I'd love to have a mod created that allowed the Saints/seducers to treat the player as they would the original Sheogorath. ð One other thing I've been thinking of today, which is a different subject but still Sheogorath-related.......part of me can't help but wonder why we "have" to become Sheogorath and/ or take over one of the Houses. I sort of like the idea of the "real" Sheogorath, Syl, and Thadon being in their old roles, while we the player do other things like become part of one or both of the Houses, maybe do some spying on one Duke/Duchess on behalf of the other, rising in rank within the House (and maybe having more NPCs created to fill the palaces up and make for more conversations and quests) I don't know I'd any mods like these exist yet, but I would love to see them created if there are modders out there who might be interested. Thanks for being here everyone. ð Tracy
