  1. In response to post #34731275. It is very clean, quick and simple to use. Pretty confident that you will love it.
  2. In response to post #34731730. It's coming and I'm sure you will be pleased with it! :)
  3. In response to post #34736110. It's just an example :) But there should be some nice ones for sure.
  4. In response to post #34736140. #34740360, #34754215, #34765695 are all replies on the same post. As Elianora has said, these are mock designs at the moment and in no way reflect what mods will appear where. What we have to take into consideration is that we are gaining users at a fast rate, these users will have experience around the web where things like 'trending' is commonplace to let them know what is popular. Whereas an existing user will click once on trending and think "right, so that's now the hot files". One thing I would like to mention is that there will now be a much larger number of 'Trending/Hot Files' listed directly in front of a user. Giving more opportunity for mods to appear there.
  5. In response to post #34736435. #34740320 is also a reply to the same post. It has gone well beyond the look and feel and gone a lot into processes and flow. I'll make a note of this though and put it towards the team. We are focusing on the main site at the moment, the forum is separate mind and hopefully we'll be able to address it in the near future.
  6. In response to post #34738150. It's coming along hey Teccam, we're putting our all into it that's for sure. Phill is an incredibly talented designer and UX fella, his input has been invaluable. That being said, the focus group have also given their all and have led to a number of things being changed with the user in mind. We have a good team - I'm proud :D
  7. In response to post #34739790. You are more than welcome Sinems
  8. In response to post #34738650. :) It does have a nostalgia to it. But to begin with at least you will be able to run the sites side-by-side. I'm pretty sure you will either love the new site immediately, or at least after a little bit of use. But alas, we must move forward!
  9. In response to post #34744535. We've been trying a few things out in this regard recently. I am in the camp of mouse rollover will open a menu, a few others in the click camp. What I have seen that I thought was interesting is the mix of them both. a/ A user can click on a menu item to have it expand. b/ A user can hover over a menu item for 0.3ms to have it expand. c/ A user moving his mouse around the screen will not activate a menu item. Thoughts?
  10. In response to post #34745820. It should make browsing the site far easier and user friendly. Sure that you will love the experience. NMM will be having a facelift, though its priority currently sits below that of the site.
  11. In response to post #34747155. I'm super pleased with how it is going as well, can't wait to get the final item out to you guys.
  12. In response to post #34749425. Everyone is initially hesitant to change, way of the world. But I'm sure that when it is released people will love it.
  13. In response to post #34750045. Certainly do theMetamancer... You should see me on a night out :)
  14. In response to post #34750330. We have users firmly in mind while developing the site. Intuitive, powerful and quick are what we are aiming for.
  15. In response to post #34753205. Ha ha ha, it'll all be in English come the final product, the Latin is simply placeholder text. Thank you for your kind words though, I'm over the moon with how it's going at the moment.
  16. In response to post #34753775. Thank you for your kind words! :) Can't wait to show you the site working now.
  17. In response to post #34756715. We are going totally responsive, feedback from the focus group is that it now works incredibly well even on mobile devices.
  18. In response to post #34756810. We've been having a lot of discussions regarding categories. Still haven't nailed it down yet though! It's complicated stuff :)
  19. In response to post #34757035. #34805540, #34889920 are all replies on the same post. Hi James, I'm very sorry to hear of the problems you are having with NMM, I haven't heard of this before so thank you for bringing it up with us. We have developers working on NMM full-time and there is a Bug Report forum here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/tracker/project-3-mod-manager-open-beta/ where you can submit any problems you are having, the developers are usually quick to respond and will be able to ask you questions that will help you pinpoint the issue. I'm not qualified enough to give you an immediate solution to this. Post into that forum and I'm sure that the guys will help you fix the issue. Kind regards Paul
  20. In response to post #34770380. Hey Surmkatten, The site as it stands at the moment is quite piecemeal, it has had features bolted on over the last few years which have maybe ended up in confusing locations. They new site has been looked at with old and new eyes, the focus group has been incredible and truly helped shape the site for the general populous. It will be easy to navigate, easy to customise and your experience will only be enhanced by it. I'm sure that you will love the final product, though we will be running both old and new concurrently for you to get used to it at your own pace.
  21. In response to post #34775475. We want everything to be snappy and easy to navigate, we're working on making code as optimised as possible and hope that the new site brings about a new experience for all our users. :)
  22. In response to post #34780125. #34889950 is also a reply to the same post. What, no Comic Sans! It's the BEST font ever... (JOKES!!!) What you are seeing in the first image is a Wireframe using Balsamiq (https://balsamiq.com/), this tool allows you to mock up the site to give you ideas for placement, flow. etc.! There is NO styling on these pages which is the reason I think that Balsamiq make Comic Sans the font of choice within the program - no one in there right mind is going to consciously make Comic Sans their web font.
  23. In response to post #34782920. Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Our desire it to provide users with a way of finding the mods they are after (be it the hugely popular ones or the hidden gems), I'm hoping that we have shaped the new site to do this incredibly easily.
  24. In response to post #34786075. And it gets better each day as I see more and more progress. I hope you like it as much as I do after its release.
  25. In response to post #34788205. #34829345, #34830695, #34889860 are all replies on the same post. Tracked mods will become more powerful and easy to manage, but we're also implementing something that will help managing mod files - I'm sure you will all like it :)
