  1. Hiya, Ace, how´s it going? :)
  2. Hello, Trebor!

Thanks for always leaving your kind comments at my images! :)

  3. When you try to access their inventory are they using conjured items? The share function is bugged when NPCs wear conjured items.
  4. Ello, Tetro =)
  5. Hiya, Angga =D
  6. Yo, Kayin =)
  7. Yo, Darigaz. =)
  8. Could you supply a little more information such as your load order (installed mods)? And by skins do you mean races or...? Also, did you make sure to place a tick infront of each file to ensure it's active? They don't activate themselves
  9. Hiya, thanks for adding =)
  10. No need to post my load order any more, MOTOSXORPIO  The problem appears to be with KamiCAS... It probably keeps 'assigning' animations, in this case none, they're the standard animations. I guess I'll just have to live with the problem, 'cause I don't like the standard animations.
  11. Good point  I'm using KamiCAS to replace just my own character's anims, but maybe it's resetting other NPCs as well. Going to try and disable it
  12. No problem  It's indeed a plus the GECK has compared to Oblivion. Have fun!
  13. Yup, you can. If you're using a custom race, load it's .esp file; once it's loaded go to characters->race in the main window (the big one). There you pick the race you're using on the left hand side, then go to the body data tab and ta-da! There are the options you seek ;) It goes the same for non-custom races, just load the oblivion.esm instead of the race plug-in
  14. I've been through my ini (with that guide as well) already and I just can't find what's causing it. I too think it's in there, but it may be something different... So yeah... that didn't work  Keep in mind that the only thing unloading are the NPCs and they re-load straight away. Thanks, any way, Striker  P.S. There's something I forgot to add in the first post: NPCs who are in combat don't reset.
  15. Hi, I'm kind of stuck with a problem that I've been having for a long time in my Oblivion install. That problem is that my Oblivion loads whenever I walk a couple of feet, an example of what I mean: Know the square in the IC Market District? Well, around it are four barriers (the start of each street) and every time I pass through one of them all NPCs get reset by flashing out of existence for a millisecond and then back. No matter where I go, this happens... Yup, even outside. What's so annoying about it, is that all reset NPCs become unresponsive for a while and by that I mean that they won't do anything by themselves; I can still talk to them. They won't even fight me right away when I hit them. So, clearly their AI packages just got reset and they're loading again. Okay, so I've been having this problem since before I even installed things like the Stutter Remover, Streamline and CPS and I just tried turning them all off again to no avail. I recently patched my Oblivion.exe to use 4GB and it didn't fix this problem (though it does run o so smooth now :woot:) . Does anyone know a fix for this? Almost forgot to post my specs: Processor: Intel i7 620M Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics Card:: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1 GB Thanks in advance
  16. If you're using a 64-bit Windows Vista/7, it may be useful to use the 4 GB patch on your Oblivion.exe. It'll enable your Oblivion to use up to 4 GB instead of 1.8 GB of memory. Here's the link that'll get you started http://forums.bethso...d-memory-usage/ It's in that first post, not far down. Don't forget to make a backup of your original Oblivion.exe incase something goes wrong  It sure helped improve my Oblivion install and I hope that it'll do the trick for you as well
  17. Yup, that's what the previous poster meant. That folder/path you posted is a directory that causes problems running Oblivion with and without mods, so my advice is to install it in something like C:\Games (if it isn't there, make it  ) That's what I did and I have a problem-free Oblivion
  18. You say that crash preventer is an old mod; do you mean out-dated by that? I would look for alternatives if I were you  It sucks when Oblivion starts to go haywire with the exact reason unknown :pinch: I don't think I can help you any further with this problem
  19. No problem  Good to hear that was actually the fix, even though you found out on your own  And well... getting a clean save.. I don't think that's possible once a save is corrupted, but my advice is to use no auto- and quick saves from now on. It's been reported that those don't work so well for modded installations  It could have just been these quests that were bugged; If your game doesn't crash like mad, I wouldn't worry too much
  20. If you're using a 64-bit Windows Vista/7, it may be useful to use the 4 GB patch on your Oblivion.exe. CTDs often occur when Oblivion runs out of memory, so it may do the trick, especially since you say your system is top-of-the-line. Here's link that'll get you started for now http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1078392-oblivion-and-memory-usage/ It's in that first post, not far down. I hope that'll work
  21. Hi Voodoo26, have you tried using Windom Earle's Crash Prevention System? It works really well, if you haven't and I seriously recommend it. Here's the link: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22282 The installation process is short and simple, as well  Also, have you used BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) to sort your load order, as well? Judging from your load order, I doubt it a little... Linky: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516 If that doesn't do the trick, we'll just have to further look into this matter
  22. They may have gotten corrupted. You could install Oblivion on another PC, get the BSA's from there and transfer them to the game that's broken.
  23. "HeyYou" has a good point there, Joey. If you're using Windows 7 or Vista, an Oblivion install in program files can cause a lot of problems. In case you are using either of those Windows version, you may wish to try and run TES CS in administrator mode or even reinstall your game to let's say... C:\Games. The cause is Windows UAC in that case, it blocks programs not run as admin from modifying program files and sometimes even when they do run with admin rights.
  24. Okay, I have little to no experience on broken quests, but I'm going to try... First about the Arena; un-do that change you made in TES CS; it's probably game-breaking. About actually fixing these quests... If you have Wrye Bash, you can go to the saves tab and attempt to fix the Faction by right-clicking on the specific save you're using and selecting the Fix Factions option. Another thing you can try is manually forwarding your quest progress ( I believe you can also change your rank that way). http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Join_the_Mages_Guild At that wiki you can also look up that Arena quest and change the stage. Open up your console by pressing Tilde ( ` ) and type player.setstage <questid> <stage> Instead of typing <questid> <stage> you'll, for example, enter the questid and stage there like this: player.setstage MG00Join 100 (That's for the first quest you spoke of) OK, then your quest's finished, but your rank may still be too low. If so, use this in console Player.SetFactionRank 22296 1 That'll make you the rank of 'Apprentice' ( 1 ) of the Mages Guild ( 22296). Information about setting rank from these pages: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console_Command_Tutorial#Player.SetFactionRank_BaseID_.23 http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Factions_M#Mages_Guild I hope any of that'll help you
