  1. For all those people who want to believe you get the same freedom in modding TES:O as you do with a single player game like Oblivion or Skyrim, that's a N.O. The only thing you will be able to do is replacers. Armor, weapon, Body, Animation and UI. And don't expect to add stats on the armor or weaons. And don't expect anyone else to see your modded stuff. You can only view it. And it replaces everyone elses. You don't have the same freedom to mod a MMO game like you do with a single player game. Remember that. Coming from a oldschool MMO player. And no I don't play that TES:O garbage. It's the biggest pyramid scam yet.
  2. In response to post #10897895. I just fell into the sky because gravity has now pushed weight upwards. Look there I go. I'm about to smash right into a cloud and my guts are now splattered all over the fluffiness.
  3. I'll never agree nor understand why giving modders the ability to block users from downloading their mods. Are they trying to create a grudge fest? I can just imagine how this is going to be abused. And if majority of the modders feel like this is not necessary, why apply it? Where's the poll? "Thought the mod authors certainly won't report as many...there will still be things reported as most of the reports we get are not from mod authors but the users." If that's the case, why don't you start publicly posting who reported it on who and when it was reported on the Nexus Forums. I mean since you guys seem to have no problem banning users and overwhelmingly expressing your power on the Nexus forums. You realize that most of us don't give a s#*!? And the rest that do feel intimidated. To the point that they just rather keep comments to themselves. And second. I don't and will never understand your nude policy. You enforce that nudity is forbidden on the public image share, but it's really funny if I go back in 2009 and 2010 I can clearly see nude images and even sex practicing images. If it's so damn offensive to adult users, why haven't you cleaned it up? Lazy? That's the only thing that I can think of. Yeah, I'm bashing because it's so easy to just ban someone for uploading this kind of content, but it's really hard for you to erase the past and forget it's there. Oh, but moderators are just far too busy to handle it just like they are too busy to clean up the mess, so they expect us to report it to them instead. If people started to post normal images and fill the description part with nudity without moderators taking a glance ever, and these images never being reported we'd have ourselves a fancy time. Problem is, you have underage tagging their profiles as adults to view this type of content. And in the end, exposed mods are the only thing keeping Nexus alive. I admit that when I joined this site back in 2010 it was due to a nude body mod and eye candy female armor. 99% of the images on Fallout New Vegas are nothing but female characters. Same goes for Oblivion and Skyrim Nexus. Take it away and you can kiss this site goodbye. ;) You know what the problem with Nexus is? You run a porn site, but sugar coat it from the children registered to the site. You are all against piracy and all this stuff, but you promote Mature games and let underage kids register to the site. Love it. Just love it.
  4. Very hard to find a modder who has any interests like that for Fallout 3. Most of the popular modders have shifted to New Vegas or have been banned. There are some real good modders around, but asking for something like that is more than likely a silent treatment. I've been seeing some real good modders coming out with stuff, though. Perhaps we'll see some epic mod soon. Do expect even more greater mods when FO4 comes out. Don't hold your breath, though... It doesn't look like it will be coming out for a while. I predict not until 2015 or 2016.

    Ghosts!

Spirits are very real. I had the fortune to see a few in my teenage years. I won't tell the few experiences I've lived because most people wouldn't believe it anyhow. Though, I haven't seen them in forever, but I do feel them near. My ex says she seen a spirit in my home. My cats would see them wander around and I would just stare at my cats and just know... I used to research many ancient fortresses and castles all over Europe that til this stay still hold it's own mysteries. I've always been fascinated these things after living the experience. And I won't forget the first time I seen one. The adrenalin... The moment... your body just grows cold and you become stiff and pale. I still get those shivers when ever I feel their presence around me.
  6. In response to post #9199156. I play neither of them. I mean I've played GTA 1 and 2 and didn't care too much about it. I played a little bit of Skyrim (vanila) and that was pretty cool. I just couldn't bring myself to sit down and play anymore of it simply because the medieval type of games just doesn't interest me anymore. However, I agree with you here. And I think Nexus needs to do something about this. Divide the groups into two. Not everyone is into the driven sex appeal type mods. And not everyone is into the more lore-friendly type of mods. I sit in between. And what I mean by that is. I try to go more for the lore side, but still have some sexiness in the game. I try to leave the skimpy armors discrete or posted elsewhere. Where a more pleasing crowd may enjoy it. I admit that I have posted a few images like that on here. In fact I have one up as I type. It's not a direction I really want to go as far as image sharing. But this is what I mean when it needs to be divided. It's very misleading even though the TOS makes it nice and clear. It's okay to post sex appeal looking images, but it's not okay to go out of proportion and post something completely out of TOS. Nexus should take this in consideration to balance both groups. I know many do not want to see those kinds of images on the image share. And I respect that. As much as I am not narrow minded and enjoy both sides of the world, there are certain images I do not want to see and feel they deserve to be elsewhere. Will they listen? Probably not. Or maybe they already have something cooking. How to make this work? Simple, add tags before the image is posted to the public. Making it mandatory. Does it matter? Yes, I think so, but this comment doesn't really belong here so I'll be leaving now...
  7. Anyone know where else I can find and download the EGM File Generator? The link is dead.
  8. You should post some links to the images you are referring to, to help give the creators a more specific idea.
  9. Completely understandable. Thanks for the quick response, Thandal.
  10. @Thandal Would it ever be a subject to change this? Considering maybe let members change a username freely without having to go through a trial process. I remember PMing Buddah in the past about trying to get my username changed and keeping my Kudos and never got a response. I know why and I should of taken it up with another admin at the time. But that is no biggy now since that was on another username. Anyways. Allow members to change their username with limitations. I don't mean a one time offer. Perhaps make it where if you change your username you have a 6 month restriction before being allowed to change it again. So things won't get messy and people spamming and constantly changing usernames. It seems like so many do it since I've met quite a few other members close accounts and reopen a new one because they didn't like the username. In a way this would make things a bit easier on the staff members I think. And this way it would flux things and probably wouldn't see a Christmas list of account closure requests.
  11. If you have questions regarding custom race and cannot find answers or a response, PM me.
  12. Grats sahdow! I figured out my problem too. with no responses. by god we are too smart  -smelly :teehee:
  13. Since I'm a genius and end up figuring out this stuff on my own. I will teach you how to walk on water. Just make sure when you do use a head mesh in a custom race and change it's path elsewhere, it includes the headfemale.egt. Since most uploaded head mesh mods fail to include this file (which can be forgiven since it's substituted by the actual headfemale.egt from the Fallout3 BSA file) it can and will lead to this problem if and when you do install the headfemale.nif, headfemale.egm and headfemale.tri into a different directory other than the original directory and set the head mesh path to that file in GECK. Solution is extracting the Fallout3 BSA file. Look for the headfemale.egt file within meshes/characters/head folder. Copy n paste it onto where ever you've installed the head mesh you are using for that particular custom race. This can be easily missed for people (like myself) who do not know all the containing files for that particular nif file. And mainly if you don't know what meshes and textures files may also pertain to. Thanks to my thoroughly own researching. I was able to trigger the problem. It has to do with the directory path in the nif file itself, but it's not necessary to change the file paths in it with nifskope. That's just a little too much work. Unless your like me and still like to do it anyways. yes yes... you're welcome. -smelly :teehee:
  14. Hey guys and gals I have a little troubleshoot. I haven't had much luck with this trial and error thing. For some reason my presets face skin tone is a bit lighter than it should be, it's not that it doesn't work at all. It does change the skin tone on the body. Just not the face. I remember running into this problem a few years back when using Lings or some kind of custom preset mod shortly before I began to start doing my own custom race/presets. These two images below are one of my many preset/race characters. You can see that by me moving the slider the skin tone remains the same. This problem also occurs in GECK, the only change will be the face starting to morph as I change the skin tone. http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/5787/am0u.jpghttp://img600.imageshack.us/img600/3331/6zwk.jpg The face below (left image) is a pure vanilla hispanic female savegame that's based off my preset. The skin tone in that image is the correct skin color. And as you can see in the other image (right image) I am able to use the slider to increase or decrease the skin tone values fine with no problem. http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/9197/tk8f.jpghttp://img24.imageshack.us/img24/1417/wuhf.jpg I found this thread here and here both specifically indicating to check "Can be All Races". "There are three things to recifiy mismatched face/body tones. If the bodu is correct, but the face is not, then the solution is to change the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1. When the face is correct but the body does not match, there are two possible solutions: 1) Click the "Can be All Races" flag on the NPC data page. 2) ESMify the mod. ESPs have this bug notoriosly. By making the mod an ESM, the body will match the face." To an extent is does work. Flagging it as a ESM makes it match the body, but bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 FO3Edit flagging my ESP file header to a ESM do not fix this where I am able to change her skin tone in GECK or the Gene Projection in game. So I did try enabling "Can be All Races" in GECK NPC Data and flagged my file header as a ESM again but still no luck. So here's a few questions... Should I just Completely turn it into a ESM with FOMM instead of flagging it as a ESM with FO3Edit? I would think it wouldn't make a difference but I've never done it that way. Because I periodically remove the file extension back to a plugin to be able to edit it in GECK incase I want to add another custom preset/companion. If not, should I maybe create a new plugin and port everything over? Thanks in advance.
