  1. I know this is going to sound wrong, and I'll have many people disagree with me about this, and some will even be angry with my opinion about this as well. But my opinion is once you upload something to the internet that you intended to share with the world, you should treat that file like it no longer completely belongs to you anymore. I think it's ultimately selfish. However I understand that an author has the right to be selfish. I made a mod for oblivion that took hours of my life away to make, and I'm not deleting it from here, and I don't care if that choice is being taken from me. And my reason is I think about the people I'd inconvenience with my choice to remove the files. And even though they are people I have never met, and people who I owe nothing to, I feel that if my mod makes even a singe person's enjoyment of a game better, then that's all I care about. And even though my mod isn't popular, Id still think of every person who enjoys and uses my work. and how it would inconvenience them to take it down. and my opinion wouldn't change even if it was popular. I have had a problem with this since the days I began modding Morrowind. I go back to look for mods I really liked, and try to find them. only to find out that the mod is gone, or the site they were hosted on was shut down. thanks to learning from this, I have old CD's and DVD's and Blu ray discs filled with mods for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Mods you can't find anywhere anymore, and I can't upload them online because it defies the wishes of the mod's authors, which I respect. It's only a matter of time before Arthmoor's mods vanish as well. Not just from this site, but from the whole internet. It will happen. I know it's his choice, and he has the right to do it, but this choice has the potential to hurt the modding community. I like that Nexus mods is trying to make mods permanently available. Taking the choice out of the modder's hands whether or not they get to delete their files Is messed up. But for the sake of making Mods easier to find, I have to agree with the nexus on this move.
  2. Funny that Elder scrolls 2: Daggerfall had that. Daggerfall was the best.
  3. Romance is very possible In oblivion if it is well executed. It wouldn't be a simple mod either. It would require a team of at least three dedicated people to make it. one is the writer, one is the mod maker/scripter, and one is the voice actor. cause i couldn't see a romance mod without a voice actor. and if anyone doubts this look at morrowinds Julan. I thought that was a great mod.
  4. I didn't put on the boots of springheel jak when i was supposed to.
  5. Hello, does any of you know of a good random name generator software that is also free, and allows for custom name rules? Since I run windows 7, it's hard for me to find one that will work. so I can name my characters with less hassle in oblivion.
  6. Does anyone know if there is a name for the planet that the elder scrolls games take place on? I don't think it's Tamriel, as I think that is only a province and not even the name of the continent itself. it it vvardenfel? I really have no idea. this has been bugging me.
  7. This happens every now and again and usually I'm stupid and save my game before fixing it. has anyone else ever had this problem?
  8. You know what id like to see? A total Remake of Daggerfall. Daggerfall was good. But it would be badass with the graphics of oblivion or better...
