Well we have 12 confirmed with the flying pig flu here in New Zealand. they have been quarantined at thier homes. It appears that the easiest way of contracting it is through actual physical contact :yucky: so no hugging over the net and wash your mouses or mice and key boards.

how many people are still playing morrowind?
katklaw replied to JazzBlack's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
Exactly the same here. I've stopped for times to play other games but I always come back to MW. The mods make this game. Without them I may not have continued. The same for me its just addictive. -

http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu147/k...enyathought.jpg These pictures seem to be too big and I have run out of space so here is a link to the next. My inspiration for this one was again dragon based I entered Mistarials cave a great labrynth. Dark and musky from the hundreds of years dragons had been living here. I slipped quietly past the lizard men guards who were talking in hisses and clicks as they lounged around small fire edged by old dragon scales which glowed in a dark red hue. Hugging the dark spaces and recesses in the tunnels. I inched forward I felt an itch between my shoulder blades as I made my way to her nesting cave. Why did this seem so easy? I mean I'm a good thief dont let anyone tell you otherwise. I stopped to take a few deep breaths as I looked down into her cave. There was loot as far as I could see gold, jewels as big as eggs, jeweled weapons, silks, and armour lay scattered all across the carvern. But that was not why I was there. I was under a geas, cursed by a great wizard. I should have listened to my friends. ------------------------------- He cackled when the trap sprung around me trapping me on the roof of his tower and appeared before me in a flash of light. said in a frail old voice" Well well well ........ a fly in my web caught mmmmm". "Two choices have you here thief. Either a geas shall you undergo or the gallows shall you hang. as sweat leaked into my eyes from the strain of the magical trap slowly crushing me to the roof he cackled again "your reply Archemon awaits" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here I am a fool on a fools errand. Who would want the Scepter of Icherus anyway its cursed EVERYBODY knows it. A sigh escaped my lips as I am pushed forward buy the magical curse, I take a small talismen from my pocket as I clamber over the treasure littered floor. The talisman started to glow as a moved towards the scepter. Typical is was right in the furtherest corner under a pile of rubies as big as eggs. as my hand grasped the scepter the geas pushed me away from the riches that could have made me a king. I couldnt even reach for a single coin. I again reclined in the dark recesses as a moved wraith like through the tunnels to the old side entrance. The itch was still there as I moved into the light. The sun was suddenly blotted from my view and replaced by the beautifully scaled face of the great dragon Mistarial. A great alien boom surrounded me, I then realised it was the laugh of a great dragon and she didnt sound as happy as her laugh. "Well well little one has Archemon sent another errand boy to do his dirtywork?" A great clawed hands crushed the rocks to my left and right as the dragon found purchase on the ledge. I paused as I fought the dragon fear and geas both, one to run backwards and the other to move forward. The strain started to tell as I fell to my knees. I struggled to talk but the magic of the geas had gagged me as well. "WELL ANSWER ME" she boomed crushing more rocks beneath her claws. A tear rolled down my cheek as I tried to gain control of myself. Flame smashed into the rocky outcrop to the right of me turning it into slag. I could feel my hair starting to singe. " Answer me or you will make a tasty treat" she said as she bared her sword like teeth. What will happen next.

Again thank you I was trying to imagine what it would really be like trying to get at a 3 tonne creature that lived in a cave a could breathe fire and was as intellegent as you, fully armoured, with its own set of weapons. I used a gaboon vipers head as inspiration for Baranthor's head(all Dragons must have a name) Not such an easy proposition in reality.

Jaysus you put up some interesting arguements. I cannot say I agree with some of them. I sort of look at the world in a very simple way. If you look at a country like a sheep farm with the flock of sheep moving around on it. If the wolves come it is up to the shepherd and his sheepdogs to protect it. its pretty much that simple.

Is that where the famous Kalevala is from. I read that JRR TOLKIEN used the tales as inspiration for parts of the lord of the rings and that Finnish is one of the most original and old languages in the world.

Thankyou both. I rarely ever show any of my pics. I will dig out a few for you to look at. Cheers Katklaw :thanks:

Jaysus. "Freedom is'nt free, its paid for in the blood of soldiers and people who stand in the way of danger". I can tell you this if it was nessesary i would not hesitate for a moment to stand up to the plate and defend my country. I dont know how service to your people can be maligned like that. Some people are designed mentally and physically to be soldiers as they are carpenters or programmers. War obviously cannot be condoned but it is a nessary evil the goes with being human. Many of our freedoms today come from what millions died to achieve in the Second World War, which became the basis for democracy you see in many countries today. Sure there are things happening in other countries that you dont agree with but to some degree the people of that country have let those people come to power. "People shouldnt fear their government, governments should fear thier people" By this I mean that governments should be there to serve their people not the other way around. Well about the roads, thats not quite true. the Romans constucted more cobbled roads through the world than any other people of the time (believe it or not, many of these roads are still in use). These roads were used for war because it was much more economical to march soldiers along roads that were cobbled than through mud. They also policed those roads and the cities that they connected to, which generally within the Roman world created stable and efficient economies. they also were the masters of construction building bridges, cities, towns and ports across the world. They were also masters of absorbing and improving technology as they came across it. They also would have much rather pacified an area rather than destroyed it. Dont get me wrong the Roman empire was ruthlessly and brutally efficient when they needed to. You have also said live for you , your families ectera - well part of doing that is protecting them. Hence you need soldiers to protect threats from the outside and police to protect from within.

“When the Levee Breaks” is a blues song written and first recorded by husband and wife Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie in 1929. The song is in reaction to the upheaval caused by the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927. Led Zeppelin’s version “When the Levee Breaks” Album Led Zeppelin IV Released November 8, 1971 Recorded December 1970 – March 1971 Length 7:08 Label Atlantic Writer Page/Plant/Jones/Bonham/Memphis Minnie Producer Jimmy Page If it keeps on rainin' levee's goin' to break If it keeps on rainin' levee's goin' to break When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay. Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan Lord mean old levee taught me to weep and moan Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home Oh well oh well oh well. Don't it make you feel bad When you're tryin' to find your way home You don't know which way to go? If you're goin' down South They go no work to do, If you don't know about Chicago. Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good, Now, cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good, When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move. All last night sat on the levee and moaned, All last night sat on the levee and moaned, Thinkin' 'bout me baby and my happy home. Going, go'n' to Chicago, Go'n' to Chicago, Sorry but I can't take you. Going down, going down now, going down. One of My favorate Led Zep songs

humanbean234 I kinda meant special forces from the marines. I am not that familair with SF in america it appears that there are a few where as we only have one the SAS who train for every type of situation. Our Scouts are much sought after Very true about the SAS my bro was a NZ SAS and went on to join the british SAS and two of my friends are NZ SAS scouting for US Forces in Afganistan.
-
Well if I were American I would go with the Marines with the aim of getting into Special Forces. But since im not I would go with New Zealand Army - SAS. A very fine fighting force. One of which last year won the Victoria Cross for Gallantry. The first New Zealnder in 50 years.

how many people are still playing morrowind?
katklaw replied to JazzBlack's topic in Morrowind's Discussion
Tchos All "less generic mods" only add to the atmosphere of the towns and in no way affect the Morrowind vanilla game quests. If you want to see a list of working mods for the game I have already posted one on "the best mods, what are they?". That whole list works well -
well in the vanilla version I got up to 155000 in gold with all the investments and house with 5 suits of glass armour all magiced up worth a total of about half a million With my current game half a million in coin, 1.5 million in various armors added (75 full suits of armour) and about half a million in magical swords.

I found if you load up morrowind just in the c drive and not in the program files in vista you should have no problem running it. I loaded it up the first time and it worked just fine. I am still playing and I have collected my 120th armour set which is very cool. I have been playing this character for about 300hrs or 2 years in real time. Its still one of the best games ever.
