  1. I know a lot of people like to complain about things like these but I just wanted to say thanks for keeping this site and your services up and running for so many years. You guys are amazing and there wouldn't be a modding community like this without you, so thank you for all your hard work and your efforts.
  2. Very, very cool! Definitely going to give these a try. Thanks a lot! :)
  3. That's a shame. :( But it's good to hear it's possible! This was in no way meant as a request (despite being posted in this thread), I just wanted to put the idea out there. Obviously it wouldn't be as fleshed out and elaborate as the DLC but I thought it could be a fun quest type mod similar to the Dawnguard quest where you collect parts for the Dwarven crossbow. The exchangable arms or armor parts on your automaton wouldn't have to be super fancy either, just different shades or textures and whatnot. Similar to how you can put an Assaultron head on a Protectron body you could possibly put a Centurion head on a Dwarven sphere or something.
  4. Hey everybody! I just finished Fallout 4's Automatron DLC and couldn't help but imagine how cool something similar to the robot building mechanic would be with Dwemer machinery! I have no idea if it's even technically possible but you could collect Dwemer scrap like screws and metal and all that junk from ruins or buy them from merchants and then take them to a workbench to build your own Dwemer sphere or spider or even Centurions. There's a ton of talented people out there so I doubt coming up with a few new models for exchangable limbs and weaponry is a problem but as I said I don't know if Skyrim's engine allows for something this customizable. Anyhow, what do you guys think?
  5. That sounds interesting! Do you happen to know the name of the resource or mod author? I'm using that one actually! That's a cool feature but not really what I'm looking for since it doesn't give you a lot of variety. But thanks for your response!
  6. Hello everyone! I am currently roleplaying as a nature loving character that likes to collect flowers, herbs, trinkets and anything else she finds on her journeys. I am using that one popular insect mod that adds a ton of butterflies and bugs to the game but unfortunately you can only harvest insects for their ingredients and not actually collect them which brings me to my mod idea: Is it possible to create a mod that lets you put the bugs in your inventory as a whole without dividing them into their alchemical ingredients so you can put them in a jar or maybe hang butterflies on a wall using some sort of placable items mechanic? This might sound pretty stupid but I'm a sucker for little immersion mods and I love collecting stuff in-game so I thought I'd just put this idea out there. Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from someone! :-)
  7. Hey there! Thanks for your answer. Could you give me any tips what .ini tweaks this could relate to? I only changed the ones I had to in order for the ENB to work. (bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5) Other than that I don't have any mods that would affect lighting or shadows or anything. I only have the Skyrim 2k HD texture pack installed. The other mods (about 20 or something are only gameplay mods and wouldn't have anything to do with lighting or shadows or textures or dungeons.) After I had reinstalled Skyrim I only started playing once I had all those 20 something mods installed so I started noticing it since the first time I played. It doesn't happen when I deactive all the mods and use the vanilla untweaked .ini file, so I guess it's either one of the mods (perhaps the texture pack?) or something in the .ini file. I use BOSS for my load order and I followed all the mod page instructions so nothing would conflict with each other.
  8. Hello guys! So I've recently been noticing this really irritating lighting issue, where suddenly darker areas appear real bright and/or fog suddenly appears in dungeons when I take a few steps. I didn't mind at first but now after playing a while it really started annoying me. I've also seen a few other topics that described similar issues but I don't think those people had the same issue. It happens both with or without an ENB activated. I also installed the Realistic Lighting Overhaul which is compatible with the ENB I'm using but it didn't change anything either. Here are some screenshots: With ENB: http://i42.tinypic.com/r2miqs.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/1zyvqir.jpg after taking some steps forward: http://i40.tinypic.com/15psndk.jpg Without ENB: http://i43.tinypic.com/ku6p2.jpg http://i39.tinypic.com/2vdgnzp.jpg I only just recently started noticing this and I don't think I've ever had this before (I reinstalled my Skyrim a few days ago and I've been playing for a few years now) so I'd be really thankful for any help!
  9. Thank you so much! It works perfectly fine now. :) I'm using RealVision ENB but I think it's compatible with the Filtering since I've been playing for some hours now and I didn't notice any performance issues or anything. So thanks again for your help!
  10. Thanks for the quick answer! I just tried all the available Anisotropic Filtering options in the Skyrim launcher but no matter which one I use, it still looks the same. Or do I have to change something in my .ini files?
  11. Hey guys! So I've recently installed some texture packs (including the entire 2k Skyrim overhaul with Lands and Dungeons and Cities etc) and ever since then I have this issue where the textures on the ground look really blurry and squishy. I first thought it had something to do with the Depth of Field option of the ENB I am using or the fact that I still had Dynavision installed but the textures still look blurry with both ENB and Dynavision turned off. The immediate ground my character is standing on looks sharp and HQ but when I look just a few inches ahead it starts getting blurry: Without ENB and without Depth of Field http://s13.postimg.org/nkw5zqw03/2013_10_26_00048.jpg With ENB and Depth of Fieldhttp://s13.postimg.org/czcanqpoj/2013_10_26_00049.jpg(I'm playing on ultra high settings too so it's not a low graphics issue or something) Do you have any ideas why? It doesn't really bug me that much but it's weird to look at sometimes. Thanks in advance!
  12. Hey guys! First off, I'm really not the type of guy to ask for help in forums as soon as something doesn't work but this has been bugging me ever since I got Skyrim and trust me, I've checked every single site and couldn't find anything, or maybe I just didn't look for the right thing. Anyway, so I have a pretty capable PC with a Geforce GTX 780 graphics card and 16 GB RAM but whenever I install a rather demanding ENB my game crashes after playing for like 10 to 15 minutes. I've un- and reinstalled my game about five times already and even if I don't have any single mod installed, the ENB would still crash it. Playing the vanilla game or even a modded game with 100 mods works just fine but whenever I add an ENB it won't work anymore. I already tried around ten different ENBs as well; the ones that only tweak saturation or sharpness seem to work fine as I can play with those for several hours without any CTDs. The Towns and Villages Enhanced Real ENB (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27401/?) for example, I didn't have a single problem with that one and used it for quite a long time. However, when I install more elaborate ones like the new Saaran Suum ENB (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/43765/?) which I am currently trying, said issue occurs. The game crashes without a warning after around ten or sometimes even twenty minutes. It doesn't matter if I'm at a busy place like a dungeon full of enemies or just in a village with like 2 NPCs, it crashes in the most random places, no matter how busy the place is. So yeah, I'm pretty much lost and I have no clue what I'm doing wrong and why that keeps happening. I would be very grateful for every tip or solution you guys could give me since I don't know anything about modding at all and I'm not really good with computers either. Thanks a lot in advance! :)
  13. Hey there! So I was looking for a mod where you could hire different people with different professions to do things for you. I'm all into roleplaying and immersion so I just don't like smithing things myself with a certain type of character or go hunting or brew potions etc. so I was wondering if adding people into the world that do these things for you would be possible. For example you need a certain amount of animal hides or claws or things like that, so you travel to a city or a village or to some of the hunters you can find throughout the world and ask them to get these things for you. Then it would take a while until they come back to where you gave them the task and then you could pick the stuff up in exchange for gold. This would also work with miners, farmers, blacksmiths, alchemists and whatever other resources and crafting items there are. I mean, technically you could just go to a shop and buy stuff but blacksmiths hardly ever have enough ore or ingots and I find it stupid to travel to five cities just to buy all the ore off of merchants. Same with alchemy ingredients or animal parts. So yeah, that would be a cool thing, I guess. Also I don't know anything about modding, I just use a s#*! ton of mods so I have no idea if something like that is even possible but I just felt like leaving my ideas here for all the creative and competent people out there.
